- How to install a TV on a brick wall. 1- Get your clearance measurements on the wall and compare the TV measurement so you know where you would like to mount the TV. 2- Take all equipment and materials out of the boxes to prepare the install. 3- Build the mount (follow the step by step directions), put the mount arms on the back of the TV. 4- Measure where you will place it, mark the 4 corners, drill your marks, and mount the TV mount. 5- Hang the TV on the mount and level the TV, make sure to tighten the two bolts in the back so it will stay level. #tvwallmount #howtomount #mounttv

did i miss what kind o screws/anchors to use?
You did. 1/4” Tapcons would be best. I have them linked in the description
About to be mounting a 75” on my patio. Never used tapcon and it makes me nervous af poking holes in brick. Even more nervous because that tv is going to end up being moved facing our pool pretty often. My luck it’ll end up face down on the concrete and gaping holes left in the brick.
Good morning! As long as the brick wall is in good shape (doesn’t have cracks everywhere/falling apart), you don’t strip out the brick while drilling, and you buy a mount rated to support the weight it will not budge. Some like to use the mortar joints due to not wanting holes in the brick. I do not bc I have found that the mortar joints are usually too soft and has a greater potential of pulling the TV off the wall.
@@mr.fix-all yeah we just built the house a couple years ago. And yeah I don’t trust going into the morta. Maybe if it was just a standard flush mount that wasn’t moving around it would be fine.
@@Lumpygrits76 Agreed
Thank you, this was very helpful.
is this still on the brick wall or on the floor?
Why do you think will fall?
Is it better to put concrete tapcon screws directly in brick or use plastic anchors?
Most definitely tapcons
Ok, thanks
Any ideas on how to hide the wires
The simplest way is running a wire raceway made to go on the surface of the wall to but up to the floor or ceiling. Which ever direction you’re coming from depends on which one you but up to. When I put mine up I’ll post it.
