1969 beautiful song. Our Wedding Song Dec 21st 1973 In Heaven I know my beloved husband Sweetheart is listening to it with me. I miss you my Darling 🕊❤🙏
The world went and got itself in a big damned hurry, most people can't listen this slow anymore. My mother would play his albums when I was little, so I became quite fond of his music. One of the biggest crimes in our house was if you swiped the change off the needle arm, we learned quickly why too.
C this magical thing came out called electronics and it massively evolved and nobody truly knows how to play n instrument or sing... Auto tune or lip sync wasn't huge yet...but that just my opinion lol I'm only 35 and I can't stand today's music .. I was born in the wrong era
Danny O-Artists like Garth Brooks and Vince Gill came along and ruined country music, that's what happened. Fortunately for me I have a Sirius XM Satellite radio in my car that I have set to Willie's Roadhouse, which plays nothing but traditional country music.
This song brings back such bittersweet memories..my ex husband and I used to dance to this..we were so happy for two years, then he started going out on me. We divorced and I was left with my beautiful daughter to raise by myself...I am now remarried for 24 years to a wonderful man who adores me...but every now and then I remember those long ago, carefree happy times, and my heart feels squeezed for just a few minutes...
I could listen to this man's music all night long....He's a country legend. I can remember hearing his music way back in the mid-70's as a teenager and just admiring his mastery on the guitar and the wonderful songs he recorded. If there ever was a artist that deserved to be in the Country Music Hall of Fame, it's Sonny James.
I visit his Home in Hackleburg, Alabama. Sonny James family is out of this world.....The most friendly people I have ever seen. They say people in Alabama are friendly people and it is very true. One day I shall make my home in Alabama.....................
Our Wedding Song...Dec 21st 1973. I miss you my darling .Thank you for the precious memories of our 44 years 8 months together. Dancing in Heaven surrounded with Angel, on our Wedding song You even sang that song on our Wedding. Forever in my (our) 💕
I love the Southern Gentlemen Sonny James. He called me at 2:30 one morning when I worked at KNIX. What a true gentlemen. I will never forget that call. REST IN PEACE Sonny!
I remember when this song was released back in the late 50's, absolutely loved it then and still love it now in 2023, I was about 14 then and 79 now, WOW!, where has the time gone.
wow.....Sonny James just let this song flow.....get that feeling to waltz with my honey every time I hear it......oh bring back these songs to today,,,,
Sorry to hear of Sonny James passing away. I love his music. When my Husband and I were dating. He sang Since I Met You Baby to me. He plays Guitar and still sings this to me. Next month on March the 27th it will 45 years we got married. And I love him more and more each day.
I'm in a Sonny mood, which is a good thing :-) I can't get enough & can tell any Sonny song by just the first couple notes of his guitar. Another interesting story is when Sonny did a phone interview & they asked where he was. He was in Canada & said Just a little bit south of Saskatoon. Years later after no one made a song out of that, Sonny did & I believe it was one of the 25 singles between 1964 & 1972 that went to #1 AS 21 of those 25 singles did. It was played & told on the old Ralph Emory show on TNT :-)
I would truly love this song so much! I woke up at 4:14 this morning and listen to it about 20 times. thanks for the beautiful song! It's just what I needed!❤
Goood memories of my Mom (RIP MA 🕯️) playing this .45 and on the/her record player my entire life growing up, small mining town. On it she'd written 'Chelo + Frankie'. Frankie is my 85 yr old Dad. My Mom died very suddenly over 9 years ago. Rest in heavenly peaceful harmonious bliss Mom, I miss you terribly butt, I understand. 🕯️🙏🕊️ NJ Correction: not my entire life. Still missing her though. 🎶
I went into the only Record Store left in the Ft Worth area - Which is a HUGE place (Forever Young Records), and i ask the owner - who's probably about 70, if he had a Sonny James Box Set.... A Comprehensive Collection_ He looked at me like i was nuts_ "Sonny James kinda sucks_ No one listens to that ! LoL_ I'd never stock that cuz it'd never sell ! " ...he said_ Well I'm 53 and i like Sonny James_ Nice to see others here to prove him wrong
EEEEEWEEE ,I LOVE LOVE THIS. YOU GOTTA THAT RIGHT, I'VE TRIED AND TRIED TO FORGET U, BUT MAYBE ONE DAY, I'LL WILL DEFINITELY LET YOU GO. OHHHHHH, YESSSS PERHAPS ONE GLORIOUS DAY, IT MIGHT JUST HAPPEN. WOWWW, THIS SONG BRINGS BACK A LITTLE BIT OF TEARS AND MEMORIES.
Janey, congrats on 45 years. It must have been the real thing. I hope you have many years to come. Sonny was one of the best and a great song to fall in love to.
