I will be buying 2 of these. I have been looking for about a week for something for my kids boy and girl and really this is it. I haven't seen anything else that is even close. I just hope that they do come out with spare batteries thats almost a must. We go to Erie, PA alot and biking is a great way to get around there.
Awesome! They actually do have spare batteries on their website now but they are about $180 each if I can remember correctly I just seen them the other day.
@@JeremiahMcintosh I would say thats a little high for that small battery. But, with the price of everything being up nowadays, I guess it would be about right for a new market item. Give it a year and they will probably drop 30% in price. I was just on the website I didn't see them. Can you post a link if you come across them again?
Makes me happy to see your whole family riding together, great family fun time mixed with healthy activity, a win win situation. As I've said before, you are a great Dad.
They're $148 at Wally now, and I procured one for my granddaughter. Pretty well made with an exceptionally well crafted battery. I rode it about five miles for a safety test and everything seemed fine (my 175 ponds didn't even get the motor or controller very warm).
That’s a cool kids ebike. I take my two kids often. My girl is 7 and son is 5. I ride my lectric and my girl rides her razor pocket mod electric moped that goes according to my xp Speedo 17 mph and my son ride the razor pocket mod petite that will hit about 10 mph.we ride to a nearby park and it’s a 10 mile round trip and they come back with plenty juice left in batteries.Fun going out with your kids. This ebike will be in their future for sure. Great vid.
you can always get a brick battery and get creative on how to hook it to you existing battery mount. you can get some really nice and powerful long range 24v batteries cheaper than the normal factory battery and to the motor controllers voltage capacitor is likely around 40-50 volt you could up volt with very little modifications to 36 volt but I believe a higher amp 24 volt battery would do just fine. 24v 10-15ah 500 watt lithium-ion you will go further and faster. check the guys at CAO MM batteries they are fast and have the best bike batteries I have ever used.
@Jeremiah - If you could add time stamps in your descriptions and parts of the video to check out that would be great. Also maybe a write up of PAS -2 getting 19 miles would give some good insight, but yes you want us to watch your video i get it :) Thanks for the review. We bought one from Walmart they are only $250 now. We only get 6 miles on PSA2/3. So working with Kent to see the issues. Also $200 for a replacement battery when the whole bike is only $250. That is pretty pricy! Is there a way to integrate a different battery source?
Thanks Kevin. I do put timestamps in some of my videos. That’s great that you were able to snag one for 250 that’s a great sale. You should definitely get a lot more than 6 miles of range from the bike unless you’re constantly going up hills and weight a lot. I’m not sure if you can integrate a bigger battery because the controller is built into the battery connecting housing and I haven’t had it apart.
Do you have videos on the other bikes you looked at or can you list them? I’ve been looking for a kids e-bike but I’m not finding much at all. I’m liking this Kent from your videos, but it’s out of stock at Walmart and a little more than I want to spend for a kids e-bike that has peddles.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Thank you, its like the Jetson Bolt I have on my my list. I had two of them a few years ago but he was too small for them then. But now they might work.
I was checking out .manual bikes at Walmart .. to answer my wonder " how small.of a bike can I ride. I'm 220 lbs at six five I ride a 24" bike . Could I ride a twenty inch bike . Looks like the answer is no. For my comparison at the Walmart store. Yet one fellow commentor around my size,, on Jetson bike review said he can easily ride the Jetson
I was wondering what would you recommend for a 14 -15-year-old boys E bike. I haven’t really seen any and the bike there what’s the age range and what’s the maximum weight thank you
Every thing is controlled by their insurance company. The boring part for me is the $20 dollars an hour I would need it for about six hours So to rent a bike for one day at $120 would discourage me from renting and encourage me to just buy a bike

Thank you Pedro. I actually filmed this on Father’s Day!
Finally a e bike they made for kids. Now I can stop pushing my son on his regular bike up the hill on my ebike. 👍🏼

Sweet. Glad you were able to take advantage of the sale!
On sale at Walmart for $148 right now.
I just bought 3 today
Great Deal!
I bought 2. 😂
Awesome, they're out of stock now
Good test; also 120 Watt hours or so, 20 miles, so 6 Wh per mile; not bad.
Yes it does.

This is the info I needed. Thanks for those other scooters
@@ispeakmucho yeah me too on your comment and thanks to Woodie for his original testimony about the scooters
This bike looks great.. has anyone found something similar since this one is no longer for sale?

Hi! What would be the maximum weight for someone to ride this bike? And do you know whats the battery life? Like after how many charges..?
Nice I'm getting the grands ebikes. Great price cool ass bike.
Hi there, have you tried rear car seats on this bike? My wife got the bike and we are looking for a rear car seat for our 2 year old. Thank you

Bike is on sale right now for $148.
I sure you can wire up a different battery. Bigger AH, as long as you use a 24v battery.

One thing I don’t like about this Kent is you have to peddle the entire time and can’t use just throttle, but it’s not a total deal breaker I guess.
Check out both my Dyu videos.ua-cam.com/video/kH3AIzN4hOI/v-deo.html

Way bigger battery in the Dyu vs Jetson Bolt.
Walmart has them for sale for $150 win win
What kind of vest are you wearing?
It’s beautiful bike trails! I’m jealousy, I hope take my son he is 10 and me go bike trails go there. Where is bike trail?
Great video man!
Thank You!

I misplaced the charger and now I need to buy another one. Anyone know where I can get one and which one will fit?
Cool bike 👍
where get a second battery? How does the batt looks like?
You can get a spare battery directly from the Kent website but they are $200
Good review 👍
Thank You
Doesn't your son have the Lectric XP lite?
Yes we both ride it.
Nice video.
Why u all have your seat way to low
Hey Jeremiah, wonder if this bike would be candidate for motor/battery upgrade?
I’m not really sure.
Where can I get one?
Kent used to sell them at Walmart. Unfortunately, they are not available for sale anymore.
How fast does the kent torpedo go? Do you know the max speed?
Check out my full review video here it goes over all the speeds and everything in detail I hope this helps. ua-cam.com/video/aI-jT9vp0og/v-deo.html
About 16 MPH
Hey. About how old, tall and how much does your son weight?
Both of those questions are answered in the video. About 52lbs

You obviously did not watch the video!
I have the Kent n I’m not a kid lol
Can yu ride it in the rain?
I wouldn’t recommend it.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Why not
Electronics are always at risk even tho they are water resistant I wouldn’t say they are waterproof.

Nice 🏍
$180 is too much for a battery when a complete bike is $148 now.
I agree but the bike was $500
