Beautiful song Beautiful reaction. PEACE.
RIP Gary. Your beautiful voice will live on forever ❤❤❤
Im 57 and heard this song many many times, but this version gives me goosebumps every single time... beautiful
Love young ones listening to THE BEST TALENTED MUSICIANS EVER
Phenomenal Song, Phenomenal performance!
wonderful Reaction of this wonderful Song
I'm 68, and I guess I was about 10 when the original came out..His vocal chops were as amazing here, as they were then, all those years ago.
Me too.
I'm so glad the song moved you the way it did. It really is an epic tune, and he belts it out as well as he did in 1967. 😊❤️
what a beautiful song about HURLING !!!
I loved it at 18 when he first did the original in 1967. I still love it and I m now 75. Gary Brooker passed a few years ago but this is a famous song that so many people love. Was nice to see you all enjoy it as much as we all did the first time too.
You guys are blessed with souls that can absorb beautiful music. Even this one from the back pages.
This song was number 57 on Rolling Stone magazines top greatest 500 rock songs of all time. Great job.
💕💕
The most beautiful rock song ever written.
First time watching you all. Seeing you were reacting to this song, is what made me stop and watch. 😊
Beautiful song in every way.
We lost this man and his beautifully amazing voice 2 years ago. 🖤
RIP Gary Brooker🖤
I loved watching you all react to this beautiful song.
So wonderful to see your beautiful spirits soaring with the music 🎶 🎵 🎶
This song is like the hug of your mother
Regardless of class, regardless of race, regardless of wealth, when music touches our souls, we are truly ONE.. Besides Himself, music is truly one of God's most awesome gift to us, his children.. Thank you, for your reaction my friends. I wish you much peace and many blessings.. ♥️✌️
My high school girlfriend and I danced to this song at a school dance in 1967. 😊
Wow😂💕💕
We know u will never forget that night .. 🥰😘
I've lost count how many reactions to this brilliant video I've seen, but yours is probably the best I've seen. No stopping, no constant irritating interruptions, just pure respect and love for everything you was witnessing ❤❤❤, but then again, I've never seen anything but love and respect for all your reactions and lots of laughter 😂, thank you so much, take care, Tony here in the UK 🇬🇧 ❤
I'm 57 n still tear up hearing this song wherever I'm at. It hits my heart
Hey bro, don´t hide your tears away. Good music is pure emotion
Absolutely LOVED your reaction!! 🙌🏽
i was a teenager when this came out. used to sit in the local cafe, and listen to it on the jukebox
Just as pretty as it was when I heard it 50 years ago.
Always makes me cry... probably missing the teenager I was hearing this in '67
PROCOL HARUM "WHITER SHADE OF PALE" This live version is absolutely beautiful. BUT It covers up what made this song so iconic. There was no orchestra or choir. What made this song was the haunting sound of the organ. I rate this as a "Studio 1st then live." ...Boy meets girl. Girl leaves boy. "trip the lights Fandango" ...Fandango is the seductive dance with castanets.
Boy meets girl. Boy gets girl pregnant. Father of girl kills boy.
Yes the orchestra is overshadowing the poignancy of the song. Give me the studio version any day. The organ, vocal, drum fills...
Took me straight back to 1967, i was blown away then and still am today. Best wishes from UK.
Love this song from Procal Harum, a British group from the sixties, this song came out in 1967 , and the lead singer Gary Brooker sadly died aged 76 in 2022, please check out their other records, another song you would enjoy is Dean Ford, of Marmalade singing “Reflections of my life”.
Nothing like beautiful music to soothe the soul ❤️
Have a look at the original group playing this in a colour 1960s video. That will give you a taste of how wonderful the 60s were. It’s the video which has 124M views.
Try "Conquistidor " from 69 Brilliant song

This is the ultimate live performance of one of the greatest songs ever. Whiter Shade of Pale has been in my top 10 songs ever since I first heard it as a young boy in the late 1960s. With the orchestra accompanying the band, you get the best live performance I’ve ever witnessed.
Your responses were spot on. Like a lot of music from the 60s and early 70s, it makes you feel something emotional.
I got to grow up in the greatest era of music. It was a large part of what made us Baby Boomers what we are. It’s great to see younger generations discovering this period in musical history.
Keep digging folks, you’ll never be disappointed.
Thank you!
I remember hearing this song coming back from my first party I was invited to, back in the sixth grade. I thought it was a sing about a fighter dying on the mat ànd he knew he had wasted his life because if his pride. He as dying and I felt I was just starting to live. It sounded amazing on the car radio, especially the organ.
I get chill bumps every time I watch this video.
It was such a blessing to watch all of you feel this music as much as I do even though I've known this song since I was a young teenager and now I'm 64!
This performance is a masterpiece! Thank you for sharing ❤️🔥🔥
Great reaction to this beautiful and classic song. Every word / line of this song has meaning and once you research the meaning of the words the song becomes even that much more meaningful and beautiful. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
Beautiful reaction. ❤
You guys are great! Keep up the good work.
Lovely reaction~~~❤
That’s the Danish National Orchestra playing with Procol Harum!! 😅
💕💕
This is my first time sitting in with you on this channel at least. Thank you for allowing me to do that! I subscribed and left a like for you while I was here! I see Veli sitting in the back there, but I don't know your names or else I would have addressed you properly! FABULOUS reaction regardless of that fact!
Deb
Loved your reactions. ❤❤❤
Beautiful reaction.
What a classic! One of the first things I learned to play on the sax. Thanks for the nostalgia. 🎷🎶♥
My pleasure!
I'll check your videos, but I wonder if you ever reacted to "Nights In White Satin" [Official Video] ? It's beautifully done with a full orchestra like White Shade Of Pale. (I think you'll love it.)
You hit gold!
This song is definitely a 10, but your smiles made it an 11.
Lovely
Salty Dog. Same venue!
Gotta check out "Conquistador" from the same concert. It's wild!!
You SHOULD feel some emotion from this, it demands it. RIP GARY BOOKER.
This concert was filmed at Ledreborg Castle in Denmark w-the Royal Danish Concert Orchestra. It has been "the most-played song in public places for over 75 years." There have been some misconceptions surrounding the meaning of the song - see ua-cam.com/video/Pf73XwiZIFQ/v-deo.html for the interview w-composer/lead singer Gary Brooker & writer Keith Reid. Gary was founder of the band began in '67; he passed away in February of 2022, Keith passed in March of 2023. It is also said that Reid was "going to reveal the true meaning before he died" but he died before he explained anything. Many people believe it was about a drunken one-night stand. Contrary to popular belief, the song is not a direct copy or paraphrase of any music by Bach but was inspired by & does reference Bach's "Sleepers, Wake!" and "Air on the G String!" As per Reid, the line "as the miller told his tale" is definitely not a reference to Chaucer's Miller's Tale. Reid has repeatedly explained he had never read The Canterbury Tales when he wrote A Whiter Shade of Pale. Procol Harum is said to be the name of a friend's cat. The name is a mis-spelling of the Latin phrase Procul Harun (roughly meaning "far beyond these things"), or that it was a corruption of Procellarm, a vast ocean on the Moon. In Roman Times Vestal Virgins were priestesses and acquired their name after Vesta. the goddess of the hearth and home. It was their duty to not only keep the home fires burning but to also remain a virgin for 30 years. AMAZING SONG - AMAZING GARY!
COURT CASE: Matthew Fisher, a founding member and the organist of Procol Harum, won a High Court battle over who wrote “A Whiter Shade of Pale.” He played organ on the 1967 recording of the hit, which was long credited to lead singer Gary Brooker and lyricist Keith Reid, and Fisher argued that he wrote the distinctive organ melody. And on December 20, 2006, Justice William Blackburne ruled that Fisher was entitled to 40 percent of the copyright. Fisher had wanted half (50%) but the court decided that lead singer Gary Brooker’s input was more substantial.
It’s beautiful
💕💕
2024-10-03.:
The performance of “Salty Dog” at the same 2006 Denmark event
is IMHO the best song I have heard on UA-cam.
Done in Denmark
Even today in dance halls this music gives birth to new loves 🌺

Awwh😊😊
Beautiful family! I just subscribed. Great video❤
Thank you, thank you, thank you for not breaking into the middle of the music to talk! It would have destroyed the mood of the song.
Great reaction people. 🙂 This is a special performance by everyone on that stage.
I am from Ireland, please react to Irish singer Van Morrison, singing "These Are The Days". Thanks
Par excellent
The long intro was not on the radio version.
Peeps, please do much Karen Carpenter!! You'll be very popular!😢
Nothing like the tone of a Hammond B3 organ.
Another great song of theirs from this same venue is A Salty Dog. Believe it or not, it's just as good as this lovely song.
Thank you Johan Sebastian Bach
😁
La piu' bella melodia di tutti i tempi.da paradiso
This song was released in 1967 and this live version so many years later is fantastic as it has more depth with the choir and orchestra. Gary's voice aged like a fine wine. R.I.P Gary. You would also like the studio and live version of 'Nights In Whte Satin' by 'The Moody Blues'.
Err Nights in White Satin by the Moody Blues? Don't think the Move covered it, not really their style.
Originally released in 1967
That’s a long time 😱
Actually JS Bach from 300 years ago !
I always wonder what was said that turned from ghostly to a whiter shade of pale
Your group is great. Seems like you enjoy same music as me!!!
Never will figure out what this song is about. Sounds like gospel
According to Keith Reid..."I was trying to conjure a mood as much as tell a straightforward, girl-leaves-boy story."
Have a look at Robbie Williams - Angels (Live at knebworth) HD.I think you will like it cheers and stay safe.
Thank you 😊
Can I come hang out with you guys?..lol
So glad you all enjoyed this!! 😅
Us too!
The studio version is much better. I wish people would stop obnoxiously pushing this live version. Yeah..he was old and still singing..BIG DEAL!
Should have went for the original studio version.
This performance video has over 100 MILLION views. It is extraodinary, especially considering that Gary was 61 there. His older voice had a timbre that his twentysomething voice could never have had.
Seriously? You can’t possibly know WTF’s going on here.🤷🏻♂️ A little culture won’t kill you, ffs!
Don’t be a dummy ffs!
I agree. The original studio version is the best. It has much more soul. His voice is stronger, the organ and drums are awesome and the overall sound quality is better. I'm so sick of seeing this pushed around the internet. Oh...but he was 61!! BIG DEAL!!
@@tommyk6719 WTF are you on about?
If you loved this please check out The Moody Blues - Nights In White Satin Live Official Video
Not as good as the original hit..
Right on!!
Well, these people don't know it, but they are really reacting to an English singer " borrowing" the voice and American accent of soul giant Ray Charles.
Beautiful song but not as Beautiful as the lady in light coloured sweat shirt x
