In this video I'm going to explain how to fix a new bicycle tire wobble on true wheels. Though every product, including bicycle tires, can have production errors, the chance of this actually from happening and slipping through to a customer is very small. Especially with premium tires.
The tires I'm going to be installing are the smallest width gravel tires available: the Panaracer Gravelking. They are high quality gravel tires, which mimic the tires that originally were on the Koga Miyata Adventure I'm restoring. And the fact that they are Japanese as well, makes the entire bike have a very oriental feel to it, which I like.
They'll be replacing the Continental Gatorskin tires. Those tires turned out to be a tad too big for the 35mm. width ESGE road bike fenders I bought.
If you know your wheels are true, than the cause of a new bicycle tire wobble cannot be the rim.
And premium brands have high quality assurance standards, which basically prohibited a faulty tire from slipping through.
And uneven inner tubes cannot be the cause either. Bicycle tires don’t stretch too the point where one part bulges where the rest doesn’t.
The cause I found is that a deflated tire is incorrectly positioned on the rim, with some parts protruding more than others. I thought that inflating a tube would automatically position the tire evenly on the rim, but it doesn’t.

Most peoples issue is that they just slap the tube and tire on the rim and go to full riding pressure, being a tube pinch tire its not always going to go into the proper places on the rim, so the tire ends up being a wobble monster.
Then theres the people that try to adjust the tire on the rim when they have far too much pressure in the tire and can't do it for obvious reasons.
I pretty much learned doing this when i was a kid as i got tired of riding a bike with a wobbly tire. Some tires are just junk and will never be straight regardless of how you adjust it.

For future reference, this hand method sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. I've just had a situation which the only thing that worked for me was using soapy water on both beads and then installing the tire again, inflating to max pressure. The soap in the water will act as a lubricant so that the beads will move to the correct place they should be. Fail proof method

And sometimes you just have a shitty tire ;) I returned a pair of Nobby Nic's because of that. No matter how much soap I'd use, they wobbled all over the place.

@@restorationdotbike hi, so the problem I'm having is the rim itself, I tried to straighten the spokes and it turned out Okey, but now I have a bouncy rim which I don't know how to fix

I have trouble straightening my new 26x1.95 Kevlar Maxxis Pace tire. I tried to straighten it manually, sat it down with a soap solution, the trim cord fits very tightly and moved it hard. They seem to be aligned with the edge of the line, but they still dangle

A tire can be incorrectly manufactured. If so you can try straighten it all day long without any luck.

@@restorationdotbike I managed to achieve success after deflating a little and going over the entire wheel several times and using my fingers to pull the tire as much as expected so that the bead rested against the rim all the way

Just ride it, come back, deflate, inflate , gone.
