Just my opinion, but when I first bought my black & Decker sander, Walmart sold their sandpaper too. But when they switched to the off brand stuff your using in your video, I found it didn't work at all. I found buying the sandpaper from home depot or Lowes works way better. I’m just assuming the coats weren’t thick enough. My only thoughts

Trent Martin It don’t have to be. If you do what I did when I painted my g35 lime green it only takes a few hours. Then you let it dry over night for best results
FelixD cat Can you defend that opinion with verifiable data? Or, are you implying the “rattle can paint” is somehow not “actual paint”? The pigment in rattle cans is exactly the same as “gun paint”. The carrier is the same. The air supply is still compressed, though it contains a propellant. But, it IS paint. The differences lie in the type of paint. He is spraying enamel...not base/clear (“two stage”). Enamel does not endure UV well, unless it is baked. Air drying is the weakness. However, if you use a product like Eastwood’s 2K “rattle cans”, you are shooting two stage. You can get enamel with a hardener, meant for air drying. Or, you can get genuine two stage base/clear. But, if you compare apples to apples, there is no reason why you can’t spray rattle cans and get good endurance and UV resistance.
I just did my car, small 4 door wagon (toyota alltrac 4x4) and it took 12 cans. How-ever, 2 of the cans were primer and sprayed on like nothing, should have just had all 2x paint. Primer is for rust. If your panel is soft and not past factory primer your good.... But I like your question because they told me what I told you. I did this yesterday doing my car matte blue. @cognac8297 primer isn't for rust. It's to help paint stick (mainly on bare metal), fill very fine scratches. Primer is flat so it doesn't really help you see spots to fix. If used as a guide coat for sanding it can.

Matte 2k clear coat? What’s 2k?
2k is a 2 part paint that comes in an aerosol can if needed. You activate the hardener like they shoot at a body shop. About 30.00 a can Look up Eastwood paint
why do i have stripes on my paint job? how do i fix or avoid stripes for future projects
Not wet enough.
Spray further away
more coats and too close wind is bad as well just between 10 and 12 inch away go light and repeat so no drips ir stripes stripesvis to close drips too close and too much or car wet before or after before its dry
👍
That first coat was absolutely thick …like wtf 💀💀💀
Kool
👍👌
I would use primer
Wasteful. Not needed if it's not down to bare metal.
Try matt white please I'm interested
Wow, look how inflation is crazy high right now, that same bottle of paint is going for $7 now in 2024.
My hand got sore..
Ok so why didn’t you primer it before painting ?
Primer is for rust. If your panel is soft and not past factory primer your good.... But I like your question because they told me what I told you. I did this yesterday doing my car matte blue. Without primer you won't see all the bad spots you can fix with glaze puddy before paint after primer.. primer will show what your paint will look like. And dents and shit you can't even seewithout primer
Because the paint he used was paint +primer
No need to if no bare metal is showing.
@cognac8297 primer isn't for rust. It's to help paint stick (mainly on bare metal), fill very fine scratches. Primer is flat so it doesn't really help you see spots to fix. If used as a guide coat for sanding it can.
You got a IG
