      There's a few ways to modify a drawing that is attached to a plastic mesh.
      1. Temporarily disconnect the drawing column from the mesh column in the stage schematic.
      2. Copy one exposure of the drawing to another column and edit it there.
      3. Click on the drawing in the level strip.

    Hi, your videos give me practical ways to use the available tools on Opentoonz. Thanks. Also, I'm just curious. Can you remember how long did this particular animation take to render out? I did a couple of renders of some walk cycle and jumping scenes myself but since I didn't use any effects or the plastic tool, the scenes had rendered out in a few seconds. I'm wondering how long do effects or plastic tools take to render.

      Hi Kiran. Thanks for that. The plastic tool can slow down a render quite a lot. If you're rendering an mp4 or gif, this uses ffmpeg, so don't forget that you'll probably want to increase the ffmpeg timeout. You can increase it to any value you like, so feel free to change it as high as 10,000 if you like.

      Hi Darren, thanks for the valuable input :) I'll try to keep it in mind while exporting, not that I've done anything using plastic too so far, but I plan to soon.

    what is the difference between global key and global rest key?

    • @DarrenTAnims
      @DarrenTAnims  2 роки тому +1

      Adding a global key sets a key for each of the bones in their current position.
      Adding a global rest key sets a key for each of the bones in their initial position (the position before you moved any bones).

    heya! i have this issue where when i export the animation, the layers that had the plastic tool on them would multiply and turn green, but i can't seem to fix it;; is there a way to fix this? thanks!

      I'm not sure what that could be. If you can share some screenshots or the project on Discord. That could help us diagnose the problem.

      Alrighty! Should I put the screenshots in the your questions channel?

    Hey idk how but my animation is starting from last cell rather then from first cell please help...how do I reverse it

      Check your fps that's shown at the bottom of your viewer. If it's a negative number it'll go backwards.

    How do you overlap that caterpillar on that background??

    • @DarrenTAnims
      @DarrenTAnims  3 роки тому

      The caterpillar column is in front of the background column.

    Hlo sir how to edit the layer when I am using plastic tool

    • @DarrenTAnims
      @DarrenTAnims  3 роки тому

      Great question. There's a few ways you can edit drawings that are attached to a plastic tool mesh:
      1. Select the drawing in the level strip and edit it there.
      2. Copy the drawing to another column. Remember, it's the column that is attached to the plastic tool.
      3. Temporarily disconnect the column from the plastic tool, in the stage schematic, edit it, then reconnect it.

    You know how I can get out of the plastic tool to modify my drawing, I don't know how to get out

    • @DarrenTAnims
      @DarrenTAnims  3 роки тому

      Yes, there's a few ways to do so:
      1. You can temporarily disconnect the drawing column from the mesh in the stage schematic.
      2. You can copy an exposure of the drawing to another column that isn't connected to the mesh.
      3. You can click on the drawing in the Level Strip.
