Apparently her and her husband died of the same thing, anemia and pneumonia. It was believed to be caused by mold in their house, but that was later dismissed by investigation. Very tragic
Her death is honestly one of the saddest to me. I loved her movies growing up and she was so fun and quirky in interviews. She seemed like a lovely girl, I was devastated when I found out that she had passed.

The first time I saw Brittany in Clueless, I thought she was so damn cute and a fantastic actress. Then, I was happy to see her in 1999 and her performances in the movies Drop Dead Gorgeous (Underrated comedy) and Girl Interrupted. Then, in 2001, seeing her in Riding in Cars with Boys, and Don't Say a Word. Even though, Don't Say a Word stars Michael Douglas, Brittany was the main focus. I really began rooting for her. I was like, "Oh, right! She's proving to Hollywood that she can carry a movie in a leading role. She's finally moving on up." Then, in 2002....8 Mile. Although, it was a supporting role, but she gave a terrific performance. I thought, "Oh, yeah. Things are going to change for this girl." And it was well deserved. Only wish she was given better quality roles after 8 Mile. She did get some roles in Sin City, Happy Feet and The Dead Girl. She always appeared to be a down to earth woman. Watch the 2012 documentary titled Top Priority: The Terror Within. It will provide a lot of info that most people have never heard before and help them understand why Brittany Murphy was so paranoid that she was always being watched (not by the paparazzi). She had good reason to be concerned. I have always believed that she & her husband were murdered but couldn't figure out exactly why until I learned about the info in this documentary
@ Pamela Jackson: Thanks for that information. I'm going to definitely try to find it because the HBO documentary left me with a lot of questions. If you know where to find it please let me know.
Allegedly, Eminem broke off the relationship because he thought Brittany and her mother were crazy; Brittany had faked a seizure at a party because she got jealous of the attention he was receiving and Brittany's mother blamed Eminem on the "seizure" because some people were smoking weed at the party. Considering how things (allegedly) ended between them, I'm not surprised that they didn't ask Eminem to talk about her.
LOL. U make it seem like he wanted to do it, but they didn't want him. I'm sure whoever made this would have loved to have him talk. But he rarely does interviews of any kind.
I think she was such a talented actress and could've had one hell of a career had her life not gotten cut short. This is one Hollywood tragedy that still breaks my heart
When she said "You gonna be great", it was a signature and stamp on Em's name from God! That woman was a blessing and a true messenger. Look at Marshall now compared to back then! He's great!
She was amazing in the film Girl Interrupted. I really liked her as an actress, still sad about her death, she seemed like such a sweet natured person.
My favourite Brittney movie was Ramen Girl. I know not her most famous, but she was really good in it. Her crying scenes, the part where the character grows from her initial conflict, and she looked great in the costuming. It was nice seeing her/her character learn about a different culture. I felt like that was truly her in her character.
I recently saw the documentary on HBO Max and when it was finished I honestly didn't know how to feel about it. Was the husband a control freak? Did he want her money? What did the two of them die from? It seems in cases of certain stars who die I'm hearing "flu like symptoms." Well, is that what she died from? A lot of questions after I watched it. This documentary really didn't explain a whole lot. Brittany was such a wonderful actor. I hated to see that she had died and at such a young age.
