I think people forget that these two grew up together--she moved into his house when she was 13, and they've been romantic since 15. They've been through a lot of trauma with each other, and a lot of good things as well. I feel like it's just more complicated than anyone can really speculate or comment on. They're the only ones who really know what's up in their relationship.

The point being, they both are/were at fault. They both caused great pain, and they both are responsible. I feel it’s important to acknowledge her years of sacrifices and hard work as well - basically, as almost still a kid herself - running a household, raising small children - alone - working, fighting addiction, depression, emotional/mental duress from their relationship, night after night of Em’s massively public shaming of her and the traumatic physiological impact of that, of their life together, on-going, daily loneliness, (with no stable grandparent to help) - living out years virtually as a single parent. And without the added perks of fame, appreciation, affirmations, excitement, travel, and personal assistants serving her needs, troubleshooting challenges, support... all the while, not experiencing frequent reminders of how amazing, talented and deserving she is everyday... nor being idolized and supported like Em had been able to experience accompanying his hard work. Without her, he wouldn’t have been as able to catapult to the success he was having. (though she was also struggling with addiction at the time, as was he). I would imagine there were many areas of hard work and sacrifices she gave that she didn’t sign up for. He made sacrifices and didn’t sign up for many of those areas either. I wouldn’t want to minimize either Em’s or Kim’s experiences and all they went through.

BUT, I had to roll my eyes a little bit when he released that statement saying he won’t participate in things like this for the sake of their children, after releasing song after song about their mother, all of which made this minor interview compared to his songs, look like Sesame Street compared to Sons of Anarchy. Again, I love and will always love Eminem - but man, the guy is definitely one of those “when I do it, it’s fine, when you do it, you’re awful” type of guys.

I like Em as a rapper a lot, he’s a legend - but this poor lady did not have a platform to defend herself as a person. Relationships can be a toxic mix of love and hate in the midst of financial struggle. He was able to get his vindication and escape. Good interview. From listening to Eminem's songs, it kind of influences you to believe that she's a little crazy. In this interview, you can clearly tell she's a sane, rational woman. She's made lots of mistakes, but she has a good heart and is a good person. This is rough. Kim and Marshall both had rough childhoods, and grew up as foster siblings together. He adopted her daughter. He has also bought her a huge house where she still lives. Here's the thing about our world now: Eminem wouldn't have gotten away with his song, she would have had the space to respond, and it would have been super ugly, but her side of the story would have been heard. His toxicity and responsibility would have been exposed and discussed, as much as her own and the power dynamic between them wouldn't have been so imbalanced. So social media are a mess, but there's one thing we can't deny: it prevented "normal" people to be silenced and overwhelmed by celebrities influence, and I don't like drama and personal beefs spreading all over the internet. It's November 2020 and im glad to say Marshall has changed for the good.I cant bear to watch old videos of him and you can tell in some of then he was out of his mind on drugs or just black out drunk, i hated to see him like that. Without her, he wouldn’t have been as able to catapult to the success he was having. (though she was also struggling with addiction at the time, as was he).
I would imagine there were many areas of hard work and sacrifices she gave that she didn’t sign up for. He made sacrifices and didn’t sign up for many of those areas either. I wouldn’t want to minimize either Em’s or Kim’s experiences and all they went through.

You can see the anxiety and PTSD she has from their relationship. I used to make fun of her as a kid and being basically obsessed with Eminem but I have been in a relationship like hers and his and let me tell you I wouldn't wish that type of relationship in my worst enemy! She's a very strong woman for going back and relieving memories that obviously were very traumatic for her.

It's November 2020 and im glad to say Marshall has changed for the good.I cant bear to watch old videos of him and you can tell in some of then he was out of his mind on drugs or just black out drunk, i hated to see him like that. That man values family over anything and im glad his relationship with Kim got better and they resolved things. Marshall is so kind hearted and he has a heart of gold. hands down 2019-20 marshall era is my favourite, he just seems alot happier and hes what 12 years sober? crazy, i love him and i hope he realises how many people adore him and love to see him smile

Because Eminem shoulders the blame himself. He's admitted numerous times how destructive his relationship was with Kim. In fact, a few of his songs reference it. On the contrary, Kim plays the victim card. Not to mention, despite all his problems, Em not only cleaned up, but raised his kids and took in Nathan. Basically, he 'manned up'. Kim never did.

I believe her as well. She's calm and reasonable throughout the whole interview. People tend to stutter and act out of the ordinary when they're lying. That being said, stuttering isn't proof someone is lying, it's only an indicator. If you don't give someone the benefit of the doubt you're simply bullying them.

Alot of men don't have empathy for women. I've asked male abusers about this in honest conversations and they say that they'd never let that happen. Yet they fail to have empathy or understanding that what they despise in other men, they do tenfold to someone they love, who's someone's daughter. It's a disconnect. Em seemed to be self-aggrandizing and in attack/bully mode, which are Schemas that can develop to abusive tendancies. I'm an Em fan I'm just giving first hand experience. He's grown. I'm proud of him for not being that man anymore and his apology to Kim in Bad Husband. Alot of men don't change. Em needed to heal and grow and he has, unlike most men who behave like that with their SO. Hurt people hurt people. I think that's what happened.
