I think people forget that these two grew up together--she moved into his house when she was 13, and they've been romantic since 15. They've been through a lot of trauma with each other, and a lot of good things as well. I feel like it's just more complicated than anyone can really speculate or comment on. They're the only ones who really know what's up in their relationship.
And they both went through being drug addicts. He more than forgives her he had a mansion built for her but just so they can co-parent. He loves her but they're not in a relationship.

I feel it’s important to acknowledge her years of sacrifices and hard work as well - basically, as almost still a kid herself - running a household, raising small children - alone - working, fighting addiction, depression, emotional/mental duress from their relationship, night after night of Em’s massively public shaming of her and the traumatic physiological impact of that, of their life together, on-going, daily loneliness, (with no stable grandparent to help) - living out years virtually as a single parent. And without the added perks of fame, appreciation, affirmations, excitement, travel, and personal assistants serving her needs, troubleshooting challenges, support... all the while, not experiencing frequent reminders of how amazing, talented and deserving she is everyday... nor being idolized and supported like Em had been able to experience accompanying his hard work. Without her, he wouldn’t have been as able to catapult to the success he was having. (though she was also struggling with addiction at the time, as was he). I would imagine there were many areas of hard work and sacrifices she gave that she didn’t sign up for. He made sacrifices and didn’t sign up for many of those areas either. I wouldn’t want to minimize either Em’s or Kim’s experiences and all they went through.
I love Eminem so much and I’ve been here since the beginning, decades ago. BUT, I had to roll my eyes a little bit when he released that statement saying he won’t participate in things like this for the sake of their children, after releasing song after song about their mother, all of which made this minor interview compared to his songs, look like Sesame Street compared to Sons of Anarchy. Again, I love and will always love Eminem - but man, the guy is definitely one of those “when I do it, it’s fine, when you do it, you’re awful” type of guys.

Good interview. From listening to Eminem's songs, it kind of influences you to believe that she's a little crazy. In this interview, you can clearly tell she's a sane, rational woman. She's made lots of mistakes, but she has a good heart and is a good person. I think people forget that these two grew up together--she moved into his house when she was 13, and they've been romantic since 15. And without the added perks of fame, appreciation, affirmations, excitement, travel, and personal assistants serving her needs, troubleshooting challenges, support... all the while, not experiencing frequent reminders of how amazing, talented and deserving she is everyday... nor being idolized and supported like Em had been able to experience accompanying his hard work. Without her, he wouldn’t have been as able to catapult to the success he was having. (though she was also struggling with addiction at the time, as was he).
I would imagine there were many areas of hard work and sacrifices she gave that she didn’t sign up for. He made sacrifices and didn’t sign up for many of those areas either. I wouldn’t want to minimize either Em’s or Kim’s experiences and all they went through.

There’s two sides to every story of course. I can’t imagine how humiliating that would be when he played that song at the show though. A lot of people couldn’t handle that and would turn to drugs or hurt themselves over it.

He’s the one who was famous… and rich, He’s the one writing songs about her with her name out there for fans to go at her too. When he gets some crazy fan like in his song Stan, he’s got an entourage of body guards, loads of security etc. as well he should; but when you call normal people out in your songs they don’t usually have the resources to deal with all of that. I’m not saying she’s a good person, or that Em is a bad one - I’m a fan too. But attacking people in you songs and not making them at least anonymous is way irresponsible. Good interview. From listening to Eminem's songs, it kind of influences you to believe that she's a little crazy. In this interview, you can clearly tell she's a sane, rational woman.
