Fun fact: The guitar Dany is playing is a custom Gibson Explorer gifted to her by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. Lzzy presented it to Dany during a show where TW was opening for Halestorm.
This is the 1st track on Metallica's Blacklist Album. With Alessia Cara and without the Orchestra . Absolutely brilliant Reimagined version. We need more real Bands like this. 🌎✌️
The history behind this cover is mind-boggling ! Being noticed by the most popular metal band on Earth for your cover, then being invited to recreate it for a tribute album. Unbelievable ! 🤟🏼🎸🥁🎸🤟🏼
This was a special and unique performance with the addition of strings. Metallica asked The Warning to cover "Enter Sandman" in collaboration with Canadian pop singer Alessia Cara for "The Metallica Blacklist" album, released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of "The Black Album" in 2021. According to Lars Ulrich, they told all the bands involved, "Pick a song. Do what you want with it. If you want to play it backwards or turn it on its head, we respect and appreciate it." The Warning and Alessia composed and recorded their version in just 10 days. Producer Matt Squire flew to Monterrey to oversee the process, while Alessia recorded her parts remotely from Canada due to COVID restrictions. The band worked late into the night brainstorming ideas, reworking the melody, and removing the iconic riff to give the song their own twist. They emphasized the haunting "Hush Little Baby" section, with Alessia’s harmonies adding depth to the arrangement. The official music video features Alessia as a projection since she couldn’t travel, but her "whoa, whoa" vocals remain part of the backing track during live performances. The Warning’s history with "Enter Sandman" dates back to 2014, when Dany was 14, Pau was 12, and Ale was just 9. They recorded a straight cover and uploaded it to UA-cam because the file was too big to email to their family. That video went viral and currently has over 26 million views. Metallica's guitarist Kirk Hammett even tweeted, "the drummer kicks maximum ass!" They performed their version of the song live with Alessia once as a special one-time event. Another great performance of their version, without the string section, was at Teatro Metropolitan in 2022.
The Warning - Enter Sandman chronological order: 2014 When the sisters were 14, 12 & 9 went viral which lead the sisters on their current path... 2021 Release of the reimagined OMV with Alessia Cara (Blacklist Album celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Black Album) 2022 Teatro Metro concert 2023 Pepsi Center concert (with the string section of the local orchestra) at 24, 22 & 19 2024 French Radio - Acoustic by Dany (short 1.27)
Just a heads-up on one more for the list: - 2022 The Troubadour, LA (May 24th) - live with Alessia Cara guesting (in person) The audio quality isn't so great but the footage is on TW's official YT channel - link below: ua-cam.com/video/1LuKycETyDo/v-deo.html [The Troubadour, LA on 24 May 2022]
The Warning Enter Sandman- There are 4 version…. In 2014 these 3 little girls from Mexico made a video to send to their grandparents to show them how they have progress in their music skills. The video was too big to just email so their dad posted it on UA-cam and sent the grandparents the link. It went viral and was seen by Metallica (they gave a shout-out saying “That drummer kicks maximum ass!”). It was also seen my Ellen DeGeneres (prompting her to get them on her show in 2015). It has since garnered well over 25 million views. This is the 2014 version of Enter Sandman: ua-cam.com/video/1boUYB9LFJY/v-deo.html In 2021 Metallica asked 53 artists to take any of the 12 iconic songs from their Black album and do a cover (any way they wanted to) for their Black List album, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Alessia Cara (Canadian pop star) was asked to participate but had no idea what to do. Because she shares the same management group as The Warning, she contacted them for help. It was difficult to do as Alessia was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and travel with COVID was not happening. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. Because of that you will see that Alessia appears as a projection on the wall in the video as she was not there. It was recorded in an abandoned textile mill outside of Monterrey, Mexico. Here is the official music video: ua-cam.com/video/9tKQgesCcTc/v-deo.html When The Warning sings this in live concerts this is the version they do with Alessia Cara’s background vocals: ua-cam.com/video/vg9vNE7gm0I/v-deo.html For The Warning’s 10th anniversary concert they created this extra special version of Enter Sandman: ua-cam.com/video/-stoqv5W8RM/v-deo.html
I either have to break the music up or talk over the music. If you just let the music play you get copyright strikes and most will get blocked. I have had many blocked and taken down because I didn't break it up enough. Sorry

I actually prefer the Teatro Metropolitan version a little better. This is obviously still fantastic. The strings give it another dynamic.
🤘🏻🤩🤘🏻
Why is it so common for people to call this “Enter The Sandman”? Once or twice, sure, but it is mega consistent. Weird.
@@richardedwards9044 don't know, I know there is no the in the title but it just rolls out incorrectly lol
@ don’t feel bad, it’s not just you :)
👍👋NZ🇳🇿🍻twa
there's no "The" in Enter Sandman, it's just Enter Sandman without the "The".
Yes I know
I am sooo in the minority here but I thought the orchestra just didn't add anything on this song
Teatro version is better …To much horns in the end to me ..still great but this just has a twist …🤘
could you please talk over the music more? Nothing more fun than trying to listen to you and the music...
