Caleb I’m not sure if you’ll see this but I want you to know that you truly have revolutionized our household. My wife and I watch whatever new episode is out over dinner and it has prompted us to openly talk about our budget and be proactive about our savings. Thank you so much for putting out these videos, we are now fully prepared for our daughter that will be born any day now 🤍

Crying during a financial intervention is totally normal, that means that you are feeling deep inside you accept your reality and that a change is needed!
It takes a lot of bravery to do that, and you need to be brave to change. People identify strongly with their habits - the crying is knowing it's not healthy and good for you, that it's causing issues in your life and leading you down a path you don't want to go down. People's addictions or fascinations often hurt them.
She is the only one I have seen that isn’t full of excuses & seems genuinely committed to trying to better her situation. I hope for the very best for her.
Immense respect for Madison. No excuses. No bull****. Full accountability and processing why things haven't worked so far. Madison ... if you read this ... I didn't get my act together with finances until I was 30 so you're already two years ahead of me in terms of turning things around. I was debt free at 33 (paid off $105k) and rapidly building wealth after that. YOU. CAN. DO. THIS. Rooting for ya, girl.
You’ve got this, Madison! I was $30k in debt when I was 28 and set a goal to be debt free by 30. Like you, I hustled non stop, barely taking any days off, but it paid off because I was able to hit that goal! I’m 33 now, own a home, debt free aside from mortgage, have a 6+ month emergency fund, and investments are taking off. I 100% know how heavy and isolating it feels right now but I promise it’s worth it 💕 You can do this 🎉
See, this is why I love these episodes. Maddison was sincere and relatable. And it rallies the comments section to share their stories and support. 🥹 It’s just rly cool. Go Lindsey! And Go Madison! ❤
@@MadisonFalcoFoods Thank you! It felt like I was watching little Lindsay on this episode 😭 and just wanted you to know it is going to be difficult, you’re going to face setbacks, but that it’s possible and worth it 🥰
What a turn around! You would’ve never had the ability to get the house and those amazing investments if you kept up with the previous bad habits. Congratulations! I’m actively in the same process at the age of 24.
I didn't find Caleb in time to not buy a new car I couldn't afford in April 2021, but I DID find him in time to build a little emergency fund and attack that 19k with ham sandwiches and not one ounce of fun... and I just paid the last bit of it off yesterday. Feels incredible! 🥰 Thank you Caleb!
Her UA-cam videos could be about her taking control of her budget, planning and cooking her meals, reflections about how she feels along her path to her goals, having a friend to make her accountable, etc...People would love to encourage her, give her tips etc, people like somebody getting out of the debt trap.
I would totally watch that! I want to see a woman with a channel like this but not a fake SAHM channel that exists solely for promotions of specific products
there's a big youtube community that does cash stuffings, budget brake downs, debt updates :) in many different countries. She'll get lots of love for sure :) Katie's budgeting life, Sav Saves, Making money moves etc all great channels.
This Financial Audit was super refreshing after the last one. I love how down-to-earth she is and how she's been actively trying to fix her situation. The world of personal finance comes with so many options; this episode demonstrated how easy it is to get confused and lost in all of them!
Yeah Caleb has had some rough ones lately haha. Good to have a normal person that isn’t both off the deep end and/or totally backed up by their rich family.
@@whfh178who you calling dirty!? I might just log off of UA-cam if you calling me dirty! Lol that one was a trip. 41 years old and you get triggered for being called a baby 😂😂
I related to her a lot because I’ve made a lot of the same mistakes, which I’m finally trying to really fix. And I’m a lot older than her so she’s already ahead of me in this!
@@MadisonFalcoFoodsI was as annoyed as I always am, but when you cried I realised that you DO care and understand, just having a hard time executing. I fully understand that, as I just got myself worked out this year. I never had financial debt before, but you could say I had a spiritual debt, and crying and beating yourself up are the first steps towards growth, whether it seems like it or not. At some point it clicks and you just do it, you change
@Matt D You are right, in that many women today DON'T take responsibility. But that doesn't mean ALL women are like that. Judge a person by his or her actions, not by the actions of everyone else.
Financial literacy? She's broke and in massive debt with not a great income. ARCUTAZs' life must really be f'd up to thing she's on target in the game of life. lol
@@ziddi2603 yeah dude I think you’re stupidly oblivious to how normal that shit is in america and it has nothing to with the person. Just how the financial system is played in the united states of debt. A majority of people accrue debt to simply survive.
@@ziddi2603 she doesn’t have great income but she has above average income. She works side jobs as well. Her main problem honestly is that she lives in Austin when she shouldn’t. She pays 3x the amount on rent that she would pay for the exact same living situation if she moved to a cheaper city.
i’m 17 and my goal is to learn as much about personal finance that i can before turning 18. this channel helps me learn a lot but also really shows what can happen if you are not financially literate. thank you so much for putting this information out there! i’m binge watching every video!
My advice if I was 17 is to have an emergency fund and invest in things that are worth it like education (preferably someth8nh affordable like comunity college)savings or a reliable car. It's so easy to spend but hard to earn Don't keep your credit card in your wallet. Keep it in a place where it's hard to reach for or freeze it online. They are actually really great for points and rewards when used correctly. and last find skills that could be a good job that you enjoy. I'm learning how to remodel houses because thats something I want to do .
Invest early, even if it's just a little bit. You have time on your side, and $ compounds and grows exponentially. Track your spending, and stick to a budget. Save up for big purchases. Best of luck to you!
It's not so much about outright avoiding debt, it's like taxes and death - inevitable. You're going to own a car. You're going to use a credit card at some point, you can't rent a car without one for instance. They *do* offer more protection than other forms of payment. It's really more about just having a set budget and sticking to that budget that is based *solely* on *your own* situation. THAT is how you get ahead and stay above water.
Best advice I can get is act as if you only have a debit card. I'm not in the US, so all these loans are uncommon. It's even difficult to get a loan. So the majority here saves up beforehand. (It's why I am fascinated by this channel.) If you want a car, you have this bucket you save up for a car. If you need a new pc you have a bucket for this new pc. Budget your monthly necessary purchases and decide how much money you want to go towards those buckets. Calculate when you need that money to decide how much goes there. If you need to put more in those buckets, less fun for you. And remember, those buckets are permanent. Got that pc? Have an emergency bucket if something breaks. Got that car? Have an emergency bucket if something breaks. Don't expect once you bought something it will be yours to use forever, things break or need maintenance. Think smart. If you can move to a walkable city and walk to work, sell the car or don't purchase it until you do need it. I bought mine until I was 31 years old because I get to live in a country with top tier public transportation, walkable cities and safe bike paths. It's thousands of dollars of a difference. It's something to consider, if rent is 1500 bucks in a walkable city, you'd be better off there than renting for 1000 bucks but spend 500 a month on a car and 200 on gas. (Not even considering maintenance and insurance! See the difference?) Consider that approach as well, I have a feeling this is often forgotten because everyone wants a garden. Forget the garden in the first years, make that a future goal. That way you can live your life pretty comfortably without living in debt. Make exceptions for only certain unusual purchases, like a mortgage for your house. If you can avoid any other loans, don't do it. Get that car in cash if you can. Investments are always good BUT only invest what you can miss. If you need the money, focus on the necessities. I want to press on the 'what you can miss' as it's a huge risk and you can lose your investment. Good luck!
The trick is to make people feel euphoria / dopamine by SAVING money instead of SPENDING it, and you are doing a great job of that Caleb. I am a frugal person and all the advice you give is great, thanks for all the hard work and helping others.
I envy people who can do that. Tried it and got depressed quickly. My only way to have enough for savings is to earn enough to have for both savings and impulsive purchases. There is nothing that can replace the now. Saving is just boring, and although very wise it can't replace the rush after rewarding yourself with something new.
No really, I used to use retail therapy constantly and after starting my 401, getting serious about my career, and eventually finding Caleb it just makes me feel empty to buy random things I don’t need. Now looking at my savings gives me that same euphoria that shopping used to.
@@julius43461I used to feel that exact same way, I like grew out of it. Tbh I’m proud of myself but I do miss always having an easy way to make myself feel better 😂 that’s awful…but it was nice when it actually made me feel like life was okay when it def. Wasn’t.
Yeah Caleb. At the beginning of this year, I had greater than $8000 of Credit Card debt. As of today I am under $2000 and on track to have that balance GONE in another 6 weeks. I chose to sacrifice and get this paid off (after YEARS of carrying the balance) because of this channel. Thanks!
Yeah she’s a little relatable with setting financial goals and having a tough time sticking to it. It’s easy to get distracted and caught up. She’s got a good mindset. I hope she crushes it
I feel for her. I was her! The fact that she is crying suggests that she cares. I see her as concerned about herself but not necessarily how to create and adopt a strategy towards resolution. But resolution begins with some kind of grieving over your mistakes.
Finally someone to root for! A lot of these guests have been confrontational bordering on delusional, she seems like a nice person. I hope we all win. 🎉
I absolutely hate comments like this. Why don't you just show your support and everyone else here will do the same on their own. You're not our teacher and we aren't a bunch of kindergarteners.
I would love to hear more stories from the time Caleb was bad with money, what was his wake-up call, etc. (which he mentioned really briefly at 22:50). A financial audit on himself, if you will
Same! I was actually looking for a video where he would say something more about his situation and how he managed to deal with it but didn’t find one. Maybe one day we’ll find out 😄
Somehow, Caleb, you are able to cut through the non-sense, the word salads, the false reality and get to the root of the problem to help people. Finance problems are really a symptom of a bigger underlying problem - and your videos help expose it. You have a great talent and I believe your videos can and do help people. Thank you! Keep up the good work.
Hey Caleb! My girlfriend and I started taking our finances seriously at the beginning of February thanks to your videos. I'm pleased to update that I have gone from about $2000 in CC debt to zero with $1500 in my bank account and my girlfriend has gone from about $3000 down to just $1000.
Madison, don't be embarrassed about crying. I used to be a crier too and it always sucked while at work. But I realized that if I continued talking through the situation, people still respected me. So exactly what you did here. Great job powering through. As I've gotten older stress doesn't make me cry much anymore so it will likely get better.
As someone who has just gone through some financial hardships and on a path to recovery, I am addicted to this content / channel, and it's helping me adjust my budget.
I can’t wait to see her check-in here down the road, with all those accounts cleaned up and those debts taken care of. Sending so much love to her and currently crying because I’m also a cryer and I feel the pain this hardship has on her.
Thank you for letting Caleb using this footage. You are so brave. Idk why but I do feel like a connection with you (which must be hella weird hearing a stranger say) just bc I have similar parallels to things you’ve said. I’m so rooting for you, I just want to scoop you up and fix it all for you-and I mean that in a sisterly way not in like a denigrate you way. ❤ Caleb is perfect for this content bc he will demand accountability but can also be trusted with the sensitive stuff. Like him talking about his eating being the same as your spending…the point isn’t to be perfect. The point is to be aware, educated, and better…better is not perfect. ❤❤❤ Find me playing your content at work on a loop. Bet! 😏 (at work so I’m not paying the electricity for leaving the tv on loop 😂).
Actually was glad to watch this one, she seems like a decent human. The last one I couldn't finish, he was unbearable. Can't believe I got to the part where he's like "They don't want to hire me because they're afraid I'm going to be their boss!!!!!!"
I got to the part where he said he had fired Congressmen and I cringed so hard that my stomach formed a black hole and absorbed my entire being. I'm typing this from an alternate dimension. Please tell my family I'm doing ok, and not to hire that guy if he comes looking for work.
I am around the same age (30yr) and was recently diagnosed with adhd and relate to so much of what she said (particularly before starting medication) - the making a plan and thinking you will stick to it and never do, the impulsive spending without thinking in the moment and later realising that you had a plan, the feeling stuck and unable to move forward, the inability to delay gratification which contributes to falling off plan, even seeing her notebook with everything written down is something I did that began help me move forward. of course i'm not saying she also has adhd, but it could explain this type of behaviour!
I was scrolling the comments for this. So many of her explanations and thought processes just really held a mirror to my struggles with ADHD and my finances.
I really resonated with this one. She is in a cycle of self-sabotage. It is very confusing and hard to conceptualize what you’re doing to yourself. It has a strong correlation to self-esteem. I wish her the best!! It’s a daily struggle for so many of us!
Big time. “Old me was dumb. Old me thought she was gonna be a big UA-cam star and got into debt buying beauty supplies. NEW me would ever do that. New me got smart and goes into debt reviewing food and Mukbanging for my UA-cam channel.”
The crying got to me- I felt that and agree with Caleb it’s important to know and understand WHY we spend the way we do. I found I buy stupid stuff because of the happy feeling and little high of happiness I get from spoiling myself. I realize I need therapy 😔
You have the company itself and then driver that needs paid for the "convenience" of having it delivered. I deliver for UE and DD and the other day delivered a shop n pay order and the customer price including my tip was $30 for a 12 pk of coca cola.....😢
I really loved this audit! Madison seems to be on the right track and her financial issues aren’t too far away from what the average American faces. It’s definitely confronting to see it all laid out like that, and I really think she’s on her way to progress!
The fact that she got emotional just means she’s actually taking it seriously. Good for her. So many of these audits I feel like the interviewee doesn’t take their situation seriously at all which just means they will not improve anything. I have hope for her.
I loved her honesty with herself and the realizations she made with Caleb. She isnt afraid to work and do extra side hustles for extra income. UA-cam is a hobby and possible source of income later. She was better than some of the guests in the sense that she wasn’t justifying her behavior. She’s trying to truly change and accepts her errors.
I resonated with this episode so much. I was always a grinder growing up working crazy hours to be able to have fun because we were poor. I always dug myself out of the hole by working more but now that I have big boy responsibilities I haven’t changed and the holes keep getting bigger.
Kinda the same as you. It's because we want to do/buy/experience the things we never could growing up. For me, it was mostly food and video games. Finally got the video game stuff out of my system a few years ago, and pretty much stick to Warzone, which is free. Stopping buying food is a lot harder though. You instinctively just don't ever want to feel those hunger pains, stomach growling, unable to sleep. Recent health issues due to poor food choices has gotten me to finally cut down on food purchases substantially. In short; realize what it is that you crave/spend on that's fulfilling your poor childhood, and budget around it. You'll feel like you aren't "missing out" on "something" while also staying on budget
@@imnotawasteoftime for me it’s sneakers and clothes. I was a kid when Jordan was in the nba and I remember always wanting the new Jordan’s. When I got my first good paying job I spent every pay on shoes. I’m in the process of selling off my collection to pay off debts and I can honestly say I’m excited and not sad to let them go. They made me happy for a long time but being debt free will make me happier
@@srm6130 i had STACKS of ps3 and xbox 360 games. Sold it all to get my ps4 a few years ago. Kept me from spending additional money on new video game console on black friday, and had a lil left over. Wasn't sad to sell all those games either. They definitely served their purpose. Once you get it out of your system, it's like closing that chapter of your life finally. My video game budget now consists of xbox game pass $1 trials, and free to play games like warzone, and it's enough to satisfy my video game desire lol
Thanks for sharing. I relate, especially to the struggle mindset. Many times left kicking myself for suffering through all the overtime only to essentially waste it. The hard part about food is that once you consume it, it's gone. But then is easy to tip the opposite way and say well at least if I buy clothes or electronics, then I have something to show for all the work. But then it becomes very easy to accumulate a lot of things I don't need, just to prpve myself that I can finally have nice things 😩 in the end, it's all just stuff, but it feels nice to be able to have things that were never options to me before. Good luck to you in your journey!
Seeing how often Caleb uplands is scary and great at the same time. Scary because it shows how many people have no financial literacy… but great because there’s always something to watch.
Madison girl I’m right there with you! I felt this episode for sure and wanted to cry right along side you. Whew Caleb got me running to get another job and pay off all my debt. MADISON YOU GOT THIS 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
She's going to get it together. You can tell she's trying, but needs a solid plan. Hopefully this gets her on the right path. Thanks for the new video, Caleb.
Caleb congratulations on all your sponsors! It means you are making WAVES and you have absolutely earned it. Super excited to watch your channel grow and help people out!
Cheers to Madison for her vulnerability and self-awareness. Also, when I watch Caleb I feel like I’m watching someone walk their calling in their life and career and it’s precious.
Caleb, you have perfected the art of tough love. You can tell you really care. You aren’t afraid of tough conversations and you are also vulnerable. Keep up the excellent work! I also totally feel for your guest today. I can SO relate with the suddenly not caring once you make up your mind to use a card. I was 40 before I could trust myself to use a card to earn points and still pay it off every month. I had to just use the debit card and if I didn’t have the $$ I didn’t get it. I’m proud of her for being so honest.
He really really has perfected it. ❤ I actually, thanks to this episode, realized that I need to go back to therapy. I am just thinking of a purchase I made for a loved one (my love language is gifts) but a $3,000 PC is a problem. I’ve paid it off but $3k could’ve done something better. 😢 I feel like my spending and gifts are tied to my childhood of never getting anything and of FOMO. Thanks to Caleb and Maddison I just worked this all out so you are totally right.
Thank you for these videos. I just turned 29 a few days ago and I feel so behind. Thankfully I make a pretty decent wage and my rent is low, but since watching your videos I've cut out all fast food, havent used my credit cards in months and I finally have 3k in an emergency fund. Hoping to hit 10K by December. Thank you so much.
You better start your IRA and investing before its too late. Get that started before you turn 30. Its seriously the difference of being able to retire 10 years sooner.
She’s an awesome person to come on here & be so vulnerable. To bare all in front of the whole internet & then to get emotional means she really truly feels this-deep in her soul.
Caleb - you really got this young woman address what she’s doing because of the “why” and it is what matters to make change - her goals haven’t been strong enough to change the “why” she’s doing thing - behavior sometimes keeps people so trapped. You handled this so well. You have a skill with people.
Oh boy Caleb you took the words right out of my mouth!!! I could relate my food issue with what she said about her finances. Why why why can't I stop??!!!
Probably one of the most honest episodes I have watched your own financial audit really takes a lot for her to really explain the true reason behind her decisions about her mind going blank when she just paid with a credit card not really caring about it because I think once in the time all of a struggle with that too, and some of us are still trying to get out of your credit card debt so pick up to her. I hope your situation turns out great for her and God bless everyone.
Caleb you bring up SUCH an interesting perspective around the 29 minute mark about discipline with finances and discipline with weight loss and eating well. Not too long ago I was in a place where I was spending so much time side hustling and working toward financial discipline. I took a step back from going hard at the side hustles (still saving a good chunk of change every month) and I’m putting that energy towards working out and cooking at home. This week I took 5 workout classes and I’ve been doing this since December preparing for my wedding! It’s been the best thing I’ve done for my mental health and physical health in a while
Man I feel her pain when she broke down. We got ourselves into a similar situation before with all of the stupid stupid credit cards and you just feel like such an idiot when you step back and look at the whole picture.
What a sweet girl! No excuses, had all her information ready and written down and on top of her situation. Caleb, you were great with her and I hope she can check in with you when she has questions or concerns. It seems like she really respects and need you in her life! Good luck Madison, we are all wishing the best for you!!
caleb is the first youtuber I watched in like 5 years who said "linked in the description" at a random point in the vid and actually linked it when he uploaded.
Not sure if it was a good idea or not, but after watching your videos I was motivated to liquidate all 20k of my ETF/Crypto holdings and pay off the majority of my student loans (which were 7.25% interest private), and double the monthly payments so I'll be out from under them in 2 years. Now I just gotta replenish my emergency fund... down to like 1.5 months instead of 6!
@@betsywilliams3666 Yea, I kinda depleted all the spare money I had to pay down the student loans to this point. They were at 90k a decade ago.... the end is finally in sight! Now I'm going to rebuild the emergency buffer, then once I finish paying off the student loans that money goes into an ETF.
I can see Caleb being an amazing therapist/financial advisor (he does something very similar now with these financial audits but without certifications)
Awwwww she is a great person! World difference from the man child in the last one! Her crying is just knowing she wants to change but its tough, its tough love. You are not mean Caleb, its love and passion for people to do better and so many people never got this tough love talk about finances that they should have gotten at 18 or even earlier in life. Overall, great video! please never change!
I think the crying was a good moment. I understand having an easy cry trigger 😂 But seriously, I know Caleb is just trying to help her figure out why she won't stick to her plan. It's kind of like therapy. If she doesn't address it, she can't change it. Definitely a good episode.
The more I watch, the more I am grateful that while I don't have tons of money in my early twenties, I have some savings and building my wealth slowly. I don't have debt and that is such a big deal when it comes to creating a positive financial future for myself. I consider myself lucky.
No. You are not lucky. You made good decisions that are setting you up to be successful. Responsibility is positive and negative. Pat yourself on the back.
@@IRdatank I only say I am lucky due to circumstances surrounding me that have allowed me the luxury of being in such a positive position without having to go through making a bunch of mistakes first. The main bit of credit I'll give myself is recognizing the position I am in, which can be lost on lots of people who have opportunities that most others would wish for.

Also, I'm curious what she went to college for and if she would ever want to do anything in that field. That was never discussed. She may want to stop all or most of the side hustles and go after something that can give her a great income.

I totally subscribed to Madison’s channel, she seems lovely and real. I honestly hope she can overcome all of this and then come back on the show to tell us what a rockstar she is!
Great video that really highlights something that all of us struggle with in different ways: impulse control. She understands how her spending habits affect her financial health, but those impulses, those dopamine hits are fucking HARD to resist. Whether it is food, screen time, shopping, alcohol, or whatever, we all struggle with something. I hope she can continue to build her self discipline and get into a better situation.
She's one of the people who genuinely just seems to have had no guidance in her life. I think she'll be in a good place if she can stay focused, educate herself, and prioritize.
Caleb my brother. I am 23 and only have a checking account. My parents think I am putting to much on myself to save but I don’t think I am. Because of your videos, i started a high yield savings account and im going to see a financial advisor at my credit union this summer. Thanks for kicking my ass into gear
Many people dont realize that spending is an addiction just like any other. I royaly screwed myself up in college and it took YEARS - until my 40's to change my mentality. The adrenaline rush / dopamine hit with a very cool purchase is HUGE. But once you start living through the abject terror of not being able to make your payments and realize you are never going to retire, and never going to have a quality of life, and may lose everything - it wakes you up. Major props to Madison for seeing the truth and wanting to move on. Just realize - that *need* never fully goes away, you have to remain vigilant and just like an addict - avoid putting yourself into those situations. Cut up the damn cards!!!

She was running circles around a few questions. Some excuses.
When I’m about to make a purchase I always ask myself, “can I explain this to Caleb if I had to?” 😂 Works every time.
🤣🤣🤣
Same 😂😂😂
Caleb needs to bring successful people on and dissect what they do and their finances. People from different backgrounds and career fields.
😂
I’m going to try this😬
You’ve got this, Madison! I 100% know how heavy and isolating it feels right now but I promise it’s worth it 💕 You can do this 🎉
What a great comment! Thank you so much and congratulations!!
Love these kind of comments, truly inspiring 😊
I didn't find Caleb in time to not buy a new car I couldn't afford in April 2021, but I DID find him in time to build a little emergency fund and attack that 19k with ham sandwiches and not one ounce of fun... and I just paid the last bit of it off yesterday. Feels incredible! 🥰 Thank you Caleb!
What kind of car?
@@taylerlong2995 thank you!!!

Her UA-cam videos could be about her taking control of her budget, planning and cooking her meals, reflections about how she feels along her path to her goals, having a friend to make her accountable, etc...People would love to encourage her, give her tips etc, people like somebody getting out of the debt trap.
She could that well and they would be popular. She's very likeable and a great communicator.
I would so watch this
This is such a great idea!
I would totally watch that! I want to see a woman with a channel like this but not a fake SAHM channel that exists solely for promotions of specific products
She should incorporate debt payoff videos into her UA-cam. I think she will get a lot of love
Good idea!
there's a big youtube community that does cash stuffings, budget brake downs, debt updates :) in many different countries.
Yesss!! She’s gonna do well. I’m so here for her!! ❤
Yeah Caleb has had some rough ones lately haha. Good to have a normal person that isn’t both off the deep end and/or totally backed up by their rich family.
Came to say this. This one was really inspiring! I felt almost dirty after the last one, didn't even want to log in to UA-cam 😂
I loved this episode. Honestly almost cried with her. What a genuine sweet soul who truly wants to change her situation. We are rooting for you, girl.

@@fungdark8270 thank you for the support and understanding on that

Genuine……BS. Accountability for woman is such a nasty word.
@Matt D You are right, in that many women today DON'T take responsibility. But that doesn't mean ALL women are like that. Judge a person by his or her actions, not by the actions of everyone else.
It's refreshing to see people on here that pay their own bills and have some financial literacy! Great video, Caleb and the crew!
She doesn’t have financial literacy. She has so many checking and investment accounts with no organization whatsoever.
This gal is about 2 out of 10 on financial literacy....which is saying something because most people on this channel are a 0 or 1
@@ziddi2603 she doesn’t have great income but she has above average income.
My advice if I was 17 is to
have an emergency fund and invest in things that are worth it like education (preferably someth8nh affordable like comunity college)savings or a reliable car. It's so easy to spend but hard to earn
Don't keep your credit card in your wallet. Keep it in a place where it's hard to reach for or freeze it online. They are actually really great for points and rewards when used correctly.
and last find skills that could be a good job that you enjoy. I'm learning how to remodel houses because thats something I want to do .
If you avoid debt you’re good to go. Avoid credit cards for as long as possible.
(It's why I am fascinated by this channel.)
If you want a car, you have this bucket you save up for a car.
Exactly.
So true.
Thanks!

She’s got a good mindset. I hope she crushes it
I feel for her. I was her! The fact that she is crying suggests that she cares. I see her as concerned about herself but not necessarily how to create and adopt a strategy towards resolution. But resolution begins with some kind of grieving over your mistakes.

Yeah that guy was insane. I bounced out of that one as well.
I had to keep going back to it to finally finish it. He was definitely a giant baby but it was also hilarious to watch
Right?? The egotism was appalling. No one wants to hire you if they don't want to be around you, and I couldn't even stand watching him on UA-cam 😂

Plenty of people have ADHD and don't lack financial responsibility.
Why do people look for an excuse or crutch? It's baffling, take responsibility.
I really resonated with this one. She is in a cycle of self-sabotage. It is very confusing and hard to conceptualize what you’re doing to yourself. It has a strong correlation to self-esteem. I wish her the best!! It’s a daily struggle for so many of us!

Thank you so much! I have been aggressively paying already so I’m doing good so far since the episode

Caleb, you have perfected the art of tough love. You can tell you really care. You aren’t afraid of tough conversations and you are also vulnerable. Keep up the excellent work! I also totally feel for your guest today. I can SO relate with the suddenly not caring once you make up your mind to use a card.
The main bit of credit I'll give myself is recognizing the position I am in, which can be lost on lots of people who have opportunities that most others would wish for.
@@IRdatank he was lucky. He also made good choices.
Many people who end up in good spots got there by luck. Right time time, right place, etc. But not only luck, but also good choices and work. But luck always Plays a factor.
@@user5214 yep. You're lucky to be able to have that. And smart to utilize is.
What’s your net worth.
I have cried so many times over my finances, and my frustration with my careless behaviour.
BUT, It’s all good! Crying, or feeling terrible is actually a good thing - it means you REALLY want to fix this! 💕
Oh nooo 😂 I shouldn’t laugh but I have sisters and could totally see the mini breakdown coming. She’s one of the very few people I’ve seen on this show who seems genuinely confused about her finances (look at all those checking accounts!) and not just making ridiculous excuses for herself. I hope she succeeds!!! ❤
Still so so so so so many mental gymnastics and justifications
@@adamseidel9780what do you want when he asked them to explain? They say their thought process
Wow! Your channel has 10x in the last few months I have been watching.
This is my favorite guest by far!!! First person that actually truly tries and owns up to everything.
It's so nice to see someone who really gets it! I think she's got a good chance of getting out of this situation. 💕
Caleb, as a 30 year old from California. This is awesome. Everyone is out there trying to be a famous youtuber now'a daysbut, you my friend are showing a real image of what people make on a an average basis. Great stuff !!!
Consistent Caleb once again saves me from twenty minutes of scrolling through my UA-cam feed for what to watch. Thank you sir 🙏
Caleb, the work you are doing for each guest and for each of us is incredible.
I have made quite a number of little changes just in the past two months. The boyfriend is my next project. He wasn’t raised with financial education like I was, so he’s going to need a lot of love.
Thank you!!
Its okay Madison, you got this! Its okay to cry. You understand you want to be out of this situation and that means a lot.
I have faith in Madison - she seems like she wants to change and improve her situation. I'm looking forward to an update from her - get it done Madison!
What a lovely person. She'll figure it out very soon. Already very proud of her.
Caleb, I'm in the UK but I'm so glad I found your channel, I was paying the minimum monthly payments on a credit card and then spending on it again 🤦🤦 sooo stupid but was kicking it off Into the long grass because it's 0% but obviously that doesn't last forever! Your channel really opened my eyes and now I'm working on paying it off and setting myself up for a better future 😊
You'll be in a great position when the 0% deal ends 😊 it's all too easy to not pay it off when it's 0% but then it hits hard when the promo rate ends 😊 fellow uk viewer here 😁
@@Sofia-ge5wu 👋 Hey 🙂 thank you for the reply, I'm lucky it's my only debt so when it's all paid off I can focus on saving 💪 although it's a long road these videos really help.
Caleb is literally the sweetest human. Tough love is sometimes necessary but you can see he really cares about others’ feelings. ❤
Seriously THANK YOU, You're doing such an important service for EVERYONE by making these. So glad I found your channel.
Aww this girl is sweet. I'm glad she was able to come onto the show and expose her situation. I think she can make it work she just has to stop doing 10 plans at once and actually stay disciplined with her plan. You got this! Good luck.
Also, I'm curious what she went to college for and if she would ever want to do anything in that field. That was never discussed. She may want to stop all or most of the side hustles and go after something that can give her a great income.
Hey there thank you for your comment! Definitely simplifying my life after this, Caleb helped me realize just how important that is
And I went to culinary school but it is very hard on your body with little pay so I stepped away from it awhile back
I wish her the best of luck, she is very genuine and I hope she knows that she has a huge group of people rooting for her
Rooting for you, Madison!! You’ve got this!!
Caleb is the little brother I've always wanted. 😊
This is starting out so much better than that giant baby from Wednesday. That was a rough one to watch
Caleb my brother. I am 23 and only have a checking account. My parents think I am putting to much on myself to save but I don’t think I am. Because of your videos, i started a high yield savings account and im going to see a financial advisor at my credit union this summer. Thanks for kicking my ass into gear
Madison, you are not alone! You are doing amazing! Stay focused and you got this
First rule of investing: Only invest money you can afford to lose. No Robinhood accounts while you are drowning in debt!
Hoping the best for her!! You got this!
Madison we are rooting for you!
Madison you are so brave, I teared up with you. Thank you for being vulnerable and I wish you luck!!!
