Honestly, that's a super solid way to keep/break a habit. Keeping your ideas, goals, recovery, etc. front and center, in your face, conscious in your mind all the time, or at least reminding yourself of it constantly. Statistically, addicts who go to NA/AA meetings 3-4 times per week (spread out, not all on one day) have the best chance at success. Because their recovery remains front and center, they are able to prevent themselves from "forgetting" they are addicts. They start saying things like "I can control it _this_ time," or "I can use just a little bit, on weekends only," etc. And they "forget" that they are addicts, and addicts can't just have one, they can't stop once they start. All that to say, keeping financial goals front and center, reminding yourself of your goals 3-4 times per week, would probably statistically improve your potential for success.

These financial audits remind me of myself 5 years ago, I was 22 years old with $60k in car, CC, and loan debts. And in the 5 years since, I buckled down and budgeted, I was able to pay off everything, save up for a house and now have at least 4 months worth of expenses saved as an emergency fund. Nowadays I use my CC properly, I never pay interest on it by paying it down to $0 every statement and I get great cashback rewards, I am also starting to look at investing now. I wish I had someone like Caleb back then, because figuring it out on my own was hard trial and error.
This guy is a badass...accomplishing a lot already. My main concern is his scoliosis condition. I hope it doesn't get worse...sounds like it can financially ruin someone and as someone who deals with some mild sciatica that can get irritated every so often...i know it can affect one's quality of life. He's doing great at such a young age
There should be a route by which the VA will cover it, especially given that he was medically discharged. He may have to fight with them on whether or not it's "service related" though
Bryce is a disabled military veteran. The VA will cover his medical expenses so he won't have to worry about that. My dad is also a disabled veteran and he's never had to worry about medical EVER. All covered by VA, and Tricare. But regarding medical, I hope Bryce won't be hindered by his disability, if it gets worse. If so, I hope he takes care of his mental health on top of that. Tough road ahead.
I love bringing on someone with serious future medical costs, that's something I don't feel like is talked about enough in the overall finance space and would love to see more content like it
Same here. we have some expensive medical costs and I watch these videos and i wish I could budget for all these categories, but the difference is we just need to survive. 😅

I am honestly such a big believe in not having a car payment anymore. I bought a brand new car at 16 (dad co-signed) and paid it off by 22. Let me tell you, the extra $500 a month is huge!
Nice dude! Was the car new or did you have like no credit when you signed? Just curious about the $500/ month as I pay $153 (been paying $300 to pay it off faster last 3 months) with only $1299 left to go.
@@adavidtoremember the car was brand new and Msrp was 23k at the time. My dad co-signed since I had very limited credit and it was for the interest rate (3.5% interest)
btw, for any vets watching. Don't take what the VA tells you over the phone at face value. I moved back from Florida to California, called them to get my care transferred. They told me that they transferred it when I went in to the VA hospital, just to do that thing where you have to tell them how much money you made the year before (btw, I've been out since 2014 and no one told me that was something that had to be done annually) I found out that the person I spoke to on the phone never transferred my primary, even though he said he did.
finally someone who isn't a content creator who comes on to get likes. He is very self care and thought of different options! He will definitely be successful by 30!
Fascinating to me that someone can buy an entire profitable business for $165k at 23.. a mentor? Wow. Kid’s got a clear and fruitful path ahead of him!
Note that the purchase was 100% seller financed too. So the risk was heavily on the seller side. Bryce put forth the $10k for the little things to get moving. Otherwise, the seller has to be confident that the business does well enough to get his money back from the new owner. And at 23? That's such a boss deal.
As someone who had spinal fusion as a teenager, I definitely think he should go for it as it will improve his quality of life immensely! Luckily though mine is only the thoracic spine that needed to be fused, it might be more for him now seeing how advanced he has it... Either way, good luck to him!

Hi Caleb, I'm not in the U.S so 401k and Roth IRA are complete mysteries to me, i love the channel tho. In the U.k we have state pensions, workplace pensions and private pensions. All employers must offer a workplace pension by law, it's an employee right, not a 'benefit'. Our state pension pays out about the same as your social security - you need 35 years of contributions to qualify for full state pension.
Bryce, if you happen by some random chance to see this, please get the surgery. I grew up with scoliosis and had the corrective back surgery in 2005 when my spine was at roughly 45 degrees. Chronic pain was pretty bad at that point, even with a back brace. It's a couple months of recovery, but easily the best decision I could have made. I'm sure it varies, but there wasn't a huge impact on my mobility with the exception that I have great posture and I can't slouch. Chronic pain is almost non-existent now despite living a fairly sedentary lifestyle. Someone who exercises regularly will even have less issues.
I had that surgery at age 15 rods and screws in your back had to learn how to walk again afterwards it can be tough recovery wise but its worth it after pt sessions especially but also wont have all feeling in your spinal area due to nerves and things
Great episode overall on finances. The serving two years in the service; processing in with a serious previous health condition scoliosis, getting a MOS like Ranger that is physical demanding to aggravate the one condition that ended up forcing medical separation and receiving $1600 a month . . . . Inflatables weigh 400+ pounds, rolling them up/setting up is physically demanding on the back as well which is also caused the scoliosis to continue getting worse in the last 2 years. . .
I feel with this guy with scoliosis. I had scoliosis as well as a high schooler to treat Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and that’s what prevented me from joining the military. Spinal fusion and treatment were rough but I’m mostly pain free and can do 90% of anything I want (minus contact sports)
Hello Fresh or similar service can be a good way to transition away from eating out. It doesn't save much money, if any- but it forces you to cook your own food and is almost like a cooking class. It gets expensive once the trial is over, but it worked for us make sure we had food at home and ideas of what to eat.

Please is no one gonna mention the "Toyota F-150"? xD Love it Edit: What a likeable, honest dude. I bet a conversation over a beer with this dude would be good fun 👍
As someone who also has pretty severe scoliosis, I totally understand Bryce wanting to put off having the surgery. Even the last specialist I spoke with said that unless it start impacting my heart, lung or kidney function there's no real need for it yet. I'd rather have a flexible yet not so pretty spine than a rigid straight one.
Caleb great videos, i like your channel, I would suggest you do a video on the general reasons why people in the us get on debt and what debt they are and what behaviours they can implement in order not to get into debt.
For his back problems my sister had the same he did, she did the operation at 20 year old and her life is way better, she is so happy. He should do more research for specialists as the more he wait the body heal way faster younger then older.
Firstly, thank you for your service!. OMG, that operation fee is extortionate! Have you looked into getting it done in Canada or Europe? Don't move it back to much. This kind of pain and curvature let you adopt a different posture to normal, putting pressure on other parts of the spine and even completely different joints, leading to even more pain and damage down the road. I wish you all the best!
I always felt like I missed out on not making my own business but after seeing all of the overhead, start up costs, dealing with employees, I am so happy I didn’t.
Yup. The problem with the social media age business owners, they only show you the glitz and glamour, and how successful it looks from the outside. Maybe some are, but there’s so much involved with starting a business and keeping it up. High start up costs, maintenance, legal, long hours, etc. It’s not for everyone.
The VA will cover 100% of any medical expenses that the army claims is a disability, even if they claim it's 0% Debilitating. My husband is disabled from the army as well.

Nowadays I use my CC properly, I never pay interest on it by paying it down to $0 every statement and I get great cashback rewards, I am also starting to look at investing now.
I wish I had someone like Caleb back then, because figuring it out on my own was hard trial and error.
This is me right now with $80k at 23 I need to do thing hard core!!
I'm old(er) and a bit jaded with life, so when I see this young man put together so well overall -
it kind of makes me feel better about staying on this planet a little longer.
Best of luck, Bryce!
I know you're going to make this all happen and restore Caleb's lack of faith :)
I'm drowning in debt but after seeing this channel I have my own, personal, Caleb hammer in my head. starting to get my funds in order and got more hours with overtime included at my full time job and just applied to another one part time.
I really enjoy watching these audits. I think more people need to watch them and learn. Fortunately it seems like this guy is doing pretty well for his age. Better than I was at 23.
Wow! This young man is on his way to many successes. It's refreshing to see someone this young taking control of his finances. Great episode!
I love how often these are posted I’m addicted to them
As a veteran looking to start a business soon I really enjoyed this, thanks Caleb!!
I am honestly such a big believe in not having a car payment anymore. I bought a brand new car at 16 (dad co-signed) and paid it off by 22. Let me tell you, the extra $500 a month is huge!
Yikes! I'm in my 40's got my first car at 15. Never had a new car or a car payment. I've also never been unhappy with my car.
15:34 I absolutely love Toyota F-150's. The best of both worlds
Love seeing the audit of a small business owner very inspiring. It resonates with the middle class audience. The guest is smart.
btw, for any vets watching. Don't take what the VA tells you over the phone at face value. I moved back from Florida to California, called them to get my care transferred. They told me that they transferred it when I went in to the VA hospital, just to do that thing where you have to tell them how much money you made the year before (btw, I've been out since 2014 and no one told me that was something that had to be done annually) I found out that the person I spoke to on the phone never transferred my primary, even though he said he did.
seems like such a good genuine smart dude so sorry to hear about his back.
We all have our own things going on - very thankful for my life and everything that’s healthy in my body! Appreciate the kind words my friend 🙏
finally someone who isn't a content creator who comes on to get likes. He is very self care and thought of different options! He will definitely be successful by 30!
Glad to see someone doing so well, good for this guy! Makes me want to do better with my own financials
Keep killing it Caleb.
The Toyota F-150 got me 😂
Probably bought a Ford trade in at a Toyota dealership. Toyota financing probably.
I gasped so hard !
I was looking for this comment lmao
Fascinating to me that someone can buy an entire profitable business for $165k at 23.. a mentor? Wow. Kid’s got a clear and fruitful path ahead of him!
...one purchase price rule is 3 years of revenue so it may only have been producing $50-60k annually...
Note that the purchase was 100% seller financed too. So the risk was heavily on the seller side.
Bryce put forth the $10k for the little things to get moving. Otherwise, the seller has to be confident that the business does well enough to get his money back from the new owner. And at 23? That's such a boss deal.
I knew that there was something good coming today. It’s Caleb releasing a financial audit✨
I'd love to see more business audits! I am starting a business based around helping small businesses keep their finances in check.
I enjoyed this episode immensely. So refreshing to see such a young man with his head on his shoulders. There is hope for Gen Z after all....
Thank you for your service. I can’t imagine the pain you’ve gone through.
😢😢
Toyota F150 no wonder why it's so expensive it's a one of a kind truck.
😂
I was gonna say something about this…but yeah…
Lmaooo
😂 I saw that but thought it was a joke! Ford F-150 is the most popular vehicle sold in the US.
As someone who had spinal fusion as a teenager, I definitely think he should go for it as it will improve his quality of life immensely! Luckily though mine is only the thoracic spine that needed to be fused, it might be more for him now seeing how advanced he has it... Either way, good luck to him!
Mom new financial audit just dropped!
Thank you caleb! I watch these while waiting for calls at work and they always give me the motivation to keep pushing through my shift for that plan baby! Again appreciate the great content keep it up!!!
Woot! The UA-cam plaque! Well deserved, sir!
Thank you for your service! I wish you all the best on your financial journey as well as your health journey.
Thank you for changing my mindset! I have started watching your visit, made myself a budget, and am coming out of debt. I realizes that I was just spending my money on BS. I have already saved $1600 this month!
Congrats that’s amazing
I like how this was a different vibe then the other people you have on that are in much more dire situations who also don’t seem to get it. Love the content as always and I find it very helpful for managing my own finances.
Love seeing a young, motivated entrepreneur with a good outlook and financial literacy on the show. Not as dramatic as a typical audit but it's refreshing.
As part of the older generation I always hear about how "doomed" we are because of today's youth but listening to these two gives me hope.
I love this channel! It’s refreshing hearing about other people around my age their finances and know that we all make/made dumb financial decisions, but we can always make a comeback!
My husband and I lit a fire under our butts the last two years and paid off last last of our debt this past week! Working on our emergency fund now and building our down payment (Dave Ramsey baby step inspired)! Love the inspiration from this channel to keep going!!!
Some of my story mirrors his! I bought a business from my mentor at 24 years old in March 2022! 1 year and going strong!
I'm a recent subscriber and I'm loving these videos.
I admire everyone that comes in and is transparent about their financial situations. At least they are aware that something needs changing - and Caleb, you have a fantastic way of being pragmatic about these lol super entertaining.
Please have more of a balance of people like this who are more responsible and the absolute ass hats. Watching both is more fun than just destroying dumb people
Watching these videos everyday keeps me in check 😂🙏🏼
These OG episodes of financial audit are so good!
This guy is so badass! Best wishes man & good luck with your inflatable business!
Haven't watched the whole video yet, but this guy's voice is 😍
Had back surgery when I was 22 about 7 years ago. It really sucks and you're never really 100% ever again. Wish this guy luck with his back issues.
Great episode overall on finances. The serving two years in the service; processing in with a serious previous health condition scoliosis, getting a MOS like Ranger that is physical demanding to aggravate the one condition that ended up forcing medical separation and receiving $1600 a month . . . . Inflatables weigh 400+ pounds, rolling them up/setting up is physically demanding on the back as well which is also caused the scoliosis to continue getting worse in the last 2 years. . .
I watch your videos everyday. I'm on track to cut out over 600 a month in spending and save over 2500 a month. Thanks for the videos.
Def not what I was expecting but super pleasantly surprised by his situation
Man thank you too this wonderful gentleman for his wonderful service thank you sir! Rangers Lead The Way!!!
Just stumbled across your videos last night! I’ve watched probably 5 financial audits at this point haha super entertaining and educational, Caleb 👏🏼 I’ve subscribed and am definitely sticking around for more! Definitely helps that it makes me feel very good about where I’m at for being 24 😬
Hell yeah, these are really addicting. Keep the great content coming Caleb
Day 1 of wondering if Caleb would do another online audit/interview 🤣 Would like to showcase the pros/cons of credit consolidation now that I got done with that program at the end of 2022.
Let's goooo these videos always help work go by faster!
I pioneered that fusion procedure he described at the clinic I was at. It’s very cool. Minimally invasive, especially as far as fusions are concerned. Recovery time is leaps and bounds improved over traditional methods.
Please is no one gonna mention the "Toyota F-150"? xD Love it
Edit: What a likeable, honest dude. I bet a conversation over a beer with this dude would be good fun 👍
Yes that was adorable
He is killing it and is on an amazing trajectory. I hope we will se more resourceful people like him. Also, I hope we will get a 2yr update.
Enjoyed the perspective of a new business owner.
These are an insta click every day for me. Can not get enough of them.
Commenting for the YT Algorithm Pt.89
The VA will cover 100% of any medical expenses that the army claims is a disability, even if they claim it's 0% Debilitating. My husband is disabled from the army as well.
I always watch these to make me feel like I am financially smart. 😂
I always look forward to these lol. Addicted to this channel
"Businesses go up and down"
There's an inflatable joke in there somewhere..
Looking forward to this episode while I get some work done 💪
