  • Going after new Dentist/Orthodontist can be quite a challenge. Sit back and listen to this video while I discuss 5 things that I do to get new clients. I tell you some real life experiences that have helped me and hurt when landing new clients. This video is meant more as a Podcast than an actual video lesson. Sit back while your working, throw on some headphones and take a listen. Please leave comments if you find this type of information refreshing and you want to hear more. So if you are a denture, crown and bridge, orthodontic lab enjoy. And go after accounts with purpose instead of making useless calls, and boring mailers.
    Tip 1 The investigator
    Tip 2 The Canary test
    Tip 3 Sorry! " We have a lab"

    This helped so much Steve! Thank you so much. I was a lab tech for a crown and bridge lab. Now I’m the only one doing the sales for them. It’s been a ride! From being so introverted in a lab to going out meeting new dentists!

    I've heard of some great groups on Facebook that some dental labs have had a lot of success in finding clients. It's effective because they can speak to the dentist directly and not have to deal with any gatekeepers. Great video!

    Hi Steve. Your videos are great! I was curious if there is a time you prefer to go marketing. Do you think there is a better day or time to visit dental offices that they are more receptive to? Everyone I talk to seems to have a different opinion.

    Great to hear some your tips they were helpful since I have been struggling with the idea to go back and try to open a lab. It’s a tough market but what do you do separate yourself from all the low pricing out there, do you try to out do their price? this is my biggest grief since I just don’t want to have a business that I go to as a job but something worth the time and effort to invest and creat something fruitful, thanks!

    • @SzaraDentalLab
      @SzaraDentalLab  2 роки тому +1

      Never try to compete with low ballers. They will take you down with them. Any Dr who only cares about price will drop you as soon as the next lab agrees to go cheaper than you. Let the unappreciated stay unappreciated. Be proud of your work and the service you are going to provide. The good ones are out there. They will value your talents and not fuss about price. You can do it. Just stick to your guns. Remember you typically have a 300 mile radius of Drs you can send next day ups ground deliveries too. You don't have to rely on locals! Especially with accepting 3d scans

    Not sure if you still see these. I am a 1 year old 2 person full service lab for now. Have room to grow. Very limited ortho because of experience but training more with that. When we go out marketing, we meet the front desk bulldog etc and meet quite a few Dr's pretty often. But SO many times either or both say OMG we are so fed up with our lab, or we are looking for a new one. And the big one is we'd love to give you a try, we'd rather have a local lab. But our phone never rings from them. We follow up and say hi again etc and they are just as excited and promising but never call. How can we get them to pick up that phone without just bugging them a hundred times? Allen

    • @SzaraDentalLab
      @SzaraDentalLab  2 роки тому +1

      Allen. Drs are very slow to change. If it was me in your shoes this is what I would do: drop by with lab work you are sending out (NOT SAMPLES) and ask to show Dr.
      If they say oh they are busy leave box and tell them you will pick up later (obviously due dates are not for that day!) This gives you another friendly reminder to talk to Dr and remind them that you exist.
      Keep in mind they are in a cycloning rut and it's hard to switch.. they will eventually but you have to stay persistent. If you are bothering them they will let you know

    I'm sorry but those tips that butter up a Dr. Are no good for small dental labs people should move away from sucking up to a Dr. Just do your work and send it on time and you will get referrals by word of mouth and treat your business like a business because you will have those dead beat dentist who who rack up a bill and move in to another small lab so be up front and make your best assessment of the business you are dealing with but never suck up. get rid of that mentality have more respect for yourself.
