- This is an alternate version of a great John Lennon song from the Imagine Sessions. This take is a "de-Spectorized" version with prominent piano, acoustic guitar but without the orchestration found on the album version. This version does, however, retain John's whistling of the melody during the break that can be found on the album version. Enjoy!

Yeah. Phil Spector.. The only real mistake the Beatles ever made. The other solo work produced by Spector (on Lennon’s and Harrison’s records) wasn’t as bad. Or good in spite of him, not because.

This is one song where Spector brought something good and essential.
The Harmonium, Vibraphone and strings really brought some hauntingness to the song as well as Nicky Hopkins' beautiful piano playing

Hi, where did you get this version from? I've found it at "Imagine - The Ultimate Collection" as "Jealous Guy (Take 11 / Raw Studio Mix)" but the sound there is quite different. The piano sounds somewhat quieter. I've been searching trough internet and Spotify and this video was the only one I found with this version of the song.

Oh wow, this is so much better than the Phill Spector version.
Great version of this beautiful song. It wasn't necessary to add the whistling from another recording, that part sounds a little dirty due to editing. The original take from the anthology has no whistling and it's really cool.

John Lennon siempre suena mejor “desnudo” nada mas vean los conciertos comparado con los álbumes, a excepción de Twist and shout siempre es mejor la versión donde hay menos retocamiento.
