- The Cybertruck decision has been made. We are ordering a Dual Motor Foundation Series Cybertruck. Let go thru the ordering process together. We went thru the ordering process of our Tesla Model 3 back in 2018. That EV was also reserved the day of the reveal but before it actually was revealed. Back when the ordering was done all online, on the computer basically. It was the easiest and best car buying experience I ever had. We even were able to pick up the Model 3 several weeks before the estimated delivery window even started. Now with the Cybertruck things in regards to ordering changed. It's now on the app! Yes, you just do everything on the app. From placing the order, financing, trade in, all the way to the delivery day. First came the money. I had to pay the $1000 to confirm my order for the chosen Cybertyruck. Then I had to enter all the details for registered owner to trade in and financing. It was easy. I'm amazed by how easy Tesla can make a car purchase without me having to sit there and listen to some sales and finance person for several hours. Now we just hope for a delivery of the Cybertruck in the very near future.

It was a tough decision. I hope the CT is all and more than it is advertised to be.
We are thinking about selling the Rivian, if we ever get it, and have the Cybertruck instead. Hopefully I can make many videos about this truck, gain some Subscribers and maybe even cover the cost of making the videos (not the cost of CT, just the videos). Thank You for your support.

At this point there is a chance I get the Cybertruck before the Rivian.
Cybertruck reveal and reservation is 4 years 1 month. Rivian reveal is 5 years 1 month and our reservation is close to 5 years. Delivery window for Rivian is now February - March.
I'm exited and can't wait for it😂

7 years seems crazy until I remembered that we used to get 30 year loans for these amounts (when buying a home!)
Yeah, it is nuts. Long term and high interest rates. You're right when compared to a home loan for 30 years than it nothing. Maybe not nothing but manageable. My goal is always to get the longest term at the lowest interest possible and then working on paying off much quicker. Hopefully that works out here too.
Yeah, that's crazy. I configured mine last week, but will be paying cash. If I had to finance it for 7 years at 7+% and end up paying over $125K wouldn't buy it. But in reality I would probably be better off just buying Tesla Stock with that money...
@@rogerheuckeroth7456 You sure would be better off buying Tesla stock. No doubt about it that would be the smart decision. But we can't always just be smart, right? I usually like to make a larger than most downpayment and try to get the longest possible term at the lowest possible APR, and then usually pay it of way quicker.

It's was not an easy decision. It's somewhat scary but at the same time exciting. This is definitely the most money I ever spend on something that will loose 30% of its value as soon as I get it.

Right when Elon Musk said that reservations can be made during the reveal of the Cybertruck 4 years ago. If you have a reservation and would like to know where you're at go to: www.cybertruckownersclub.com/ they have a spreadsheet where you can put your reservation number in.
long time ago. But finally the dream true truck will be here shortly for a bargain price,.Who else builds a track faster, safer with more capability than a sport car with Space Technology? That will drive itself and performs better than any other truck? But with running costs well below even a very cheap sedan. We all have dreams and mine is almost ready to come true and I am practically getting a home gas station at the end of my charging cord, and an highly specialized Tesla Technician 24 hours a day, they call OTA to keep the my Machine finely tuned for many years and all thrown in for free. Sorry I just couldn't refuse such a deal.

Your best bet to see where you are at in line is by going to the www.cybertruckownersclub.com/ website. They have a spread sheet with many reservations numbers.

Now that it's March, have you received your Cybertruck yet?? I ordered mine in January for an April delivery date and wondering if they're sticking to their timeline.
No, no Cybertruck yet. They have until the 31st of this month to deliver. It sounds like they are producing a lot of them but also many influencers/ stars that never even reserved one already got one. So maybe mine was given away. I hope not.
I guess the CT has a poor charge curve, but is Tesla just sandbagging the 4680 until they have more data? I guess the 2170 cell will be charging at 250 kW while the 4680 will only be at 150 kW when both are at the same SOC. I'm worried the 4680 drycell is not ready yet and won't be as good as the 2170 for cycle life, charging, etc.
Based on what the 4680 does in the Model Y it is charging slow and clearly not what Tesla was hoping for. They expected this cell to perform much better and thus advertised 500+mile range at the Cybertruck reveal. Currently the 18650 and the 2170 in Teslas are charging at up to 250kW (in S and X only on late models), while the 4680 seems to lag behind. The 4680 is also in the Tesla Semi, charging at faster rates than in the cars. I think you're right the 4680 is really not ready for primetime. It may do good in regards to cycle life and they may last a long time but maybe just at a slower charge rate. I guess we have to wait and see.
@@RMTFamily Ya, at some point you just gotta say I can't support the oil industry anymore and Tesla competition isn't exactly any better so I might as well support the electron economy that has a better path to sustainability. I hope the charge curve gets better, I thought that was the point of tabless design after all but even if it doesn't it's not like anyone else was doing any bettery than Tesla.
@@missingpiece2071 Unfortunately it seems like Tesla has currently the best batteries for EV's on the market. There are batteries that are better but not necessarily in an automotive application and are much to expensive. The CT is expensive as it is, no room for more expensive batteries here😂
We still support the oil industry plenty even if we stop burning oil. All the plastics we have in our lives come from oil. But burning oil is the most wasteful and polluting part.

@@RMTFamily Whatever Tesla dishes out is a total guarantee that no one else will do better. I am certain like my model 3 through free updates is much better now than when it was new, and I trust Tesla it will do the same with the CT, improving it constantly, Now no one else gets close to this kind of customer care and for free .
Why would you assume Jan-March? You order did not show delivery date.
