Cybertruck options, did we get them all, what's missing, are they worth $20k?

The Tesla Cybertruck Foundation Series is supposed to be fully loaded and come with multiple accessories, as well as Tesla PowerShare that requires a Gen 3 Universal Wall Connector and a Gateway. There is also talk about a mysterious PowerShare Mobile Connector. In this video we go thru the Cybertruck and see if we can locate all the accessories and options that it is supposed to come with. Then we add up all the prices of these options and Tesla Cybertruck accessories to see if it was worth the extra $20k that we paid for the Foundation Series Cybertruck.

Make sure your dashcam is working. Some cybertrucks needed their dashcam storage to be formatted before it could record.

Saw one while headed towards Barstow, Ca. on the I-15 N, Tuesday 4/09/24. Straight looking vehicles, but interesting look.
They look different than what we are used to. But it’s a truck with the benefit of an electric drive train.
Correct number on the gateway:
If you already have a Tesla Powerwall (with gateway), they’ll give you a $700 credit in the Tesla store.
So, looks like you overestimated that item.

Yes, but also the wheels with the all terrain tires cost more, and are included as part of the foundation package.
Yes they are. We just don’t know the price difference between the regular and all terrain tires. That’s why I chose to add $300 which is the price of the four hubcaps. The bigger the difference between the two tires the better the foundation series price is.

Its crazy to think that the Badging is an Extra! They should have thrown in a spare tire.
It kinda crazy, you’re right. I personally don’t care about a spare, have not used the spare in my Dodge truck for 20 years and only needed a spare once in the last 10 years on a car. I carry tire repair kit, worms, and a little compressor with slime cartridge.
I would add in the wheels as well. It’s estimated they are $1,200 each. Now when the all season wheels and tire come out it will be interesting to see the difference.
Since we don’t know what real price difference will be it’s a guess. The bigger the price difference the better the $20k look😉

Many of the micro brewers are using the old style press-on cap on their bottles. So if you're out in the wilderness and want to toss back a few, you're covered. I'm guessing that's the world's most expensive bottle opener.

I’m waiting to see how the Tesla wheel for the road tire looks like before I want to switch. Unless winter comes and they don’t have that yet, then I will switch to a better tire for winter on these rims.
They sell aftermarket center caps for those wheels now.

Bring back $39.9K for original single motor Cybertruck, built in liftgate ramp, indestructible glass (pitting windshield), 500 mile range without external battery. Would like option for lumber rack, smaller version for parking in garage at home, service manual and parts availability.

Not sure why you mention the service manual? It is available online from Tesla.

I would be seriously disappointed if I paid all that money and that was all I got. I am glad that the new owner is happy with his purchase.I have higher expectations and I suspect resale value is not going to be good.
Seems like you’re hard to please 😂. The resale value doesn’t matter at all. Every car and truck is a loss if you buy new and already think about resale. This truck will be around for 10 years at our place, so resale value doesn’t matter at all.
I’m happy that you like it but I ordered the truck at 50 and now they want 100 which is crazy. I was going to pay the 80 because I wanted the truck but no way I’m spending an extra 20,000, actually an extra 28,000 because you won’t be getting the tax credit.
I agree the price is steep. You cannot say $28k since nobody knew if it would even qualify for the TAX credit anyway, back in 2019. Not getting the credit does not really increase the price. Hopefully it will qualify for the credit when the Foundation Series is done.
You “reserved” a spot in line, not order a truck. I agree that you made your reservation based on a much lower price, so did we. I wish it would have been still the same price as what they were shooting for almost 5 years ago, because then we probably would have a Cyberbeast now.
We were not necessarily frustrated with the price increase, knowing the benefits the electric truck had over an ICE truck. But it sure is a much larger financial responsibility.

We get a wall connector? I bought one to install this week
The Universal Wall Connector is part of the Tesla Power Share which was included in the Foundation Series until a couple weeks ago. Probably due to not having qualified installers and some installers charging huge money along with permitting cost and issues, Tesla wants to give a credit that can be used in their online shop for accessories.
Basically NO, you want get an wall connector anymore but instead get some money that allows you to buy one from the online shop on Tesla's website.
I missed this announcement. Is this posted on their website? More importantly, when and how do I get the $4k credit. I would get the base camp accessory then.
If you ordered the Tri-Motor Cyberbeast Foundation Series I suggest to contact Tesla to get clarification on what and how much credit you can receive. Things are not so clearly stated on their website and it does not show a difference between dual and tri motor Cybertruck. www.tesla.com/support/powershare

You could call the main number or call the local Tesla service center. There used to be an option for Cybertruck owners. Or you could open a service request in the app.
What’s the $4k credit?
I think you are talking about the $4k that was for Cybertbeast (Tri-Motor) only. If you ordered a Cyberbeast you would also get money towards the installation of the Tesla Power Share Equipment. Dual Motor owners, only would get the equipment (Universal Wall Connector and Gateway) while Cyberbeast owners also got money towards the installation. We have a dual motor so I'm not totally sure, but I suspect the money that was allocated for installation is also given as credit to Cyberbeast owners.
@@RMTFamily I got the tri-motor Cyberbeast and I wish Tesla would clue me on stuff that are missing. I didn't get the carpet flooring mats and I think I want them when and if I sell the CT.
Tesla is a little bit all over the place with this. Try a service request in the app with your questions.

Half the batteries of what? It has enough range with the current battery pack. For most people it has more than they ever need. For us in rural Montana, towing a trailer it could get a little tight until the Supercharger network reaches off the beaten path.
You're clueless. That has been debunked now by the same people who opened the Battery pack (Sandy Munroe) The extra space will never be filled, it's used for a crumple zone/gas venting and heat dissipation, but good try, Diesel head.
What a corporate strategy: take away all the things that used to be or should be included then add them back in a bundle and charge a fortune for it. Sheesh!
That is exactly what legacy car companies do! When we bought our 2020 Chevy Bolt we had to add 3 optional packages to get the safety features, adding $15k to the price of the Bolt. All safety features are included in the base price of the Cybertruck.
Thanks for doing the math. For the rest of us an extra $20k or even getting the cheaper $60k is a diff of paying off a house mortgage. People don't understand the true value of the dollar till their broke. You have to consider insurance on a Tesla is more than a gas car which defy the purpose of saving on gas.
You are looking at this from a different angle. I see many trucks and suvs out there that are the same price as thevCT and people don’t care. A Ford Raptor is $117k, requires maintenance and gas, but they are out there. We needed a new truck and this was the better way to go than another diesel. It all depends on where one is at in life.

@@henrywilliams5458 That is incorrect and at best, wishful thinking. If you go over $100 in anything that is added to the truck at that point in time, you do not qualify for the credit. That is IF the credit is even available at that point. You also would not get the Gateway, Full FSD, accessories, bigger wheels, roof sunshade, Vault dividers, double the weather mats, and so on and on.
@@phoudi I subscribe to FSD on my 3& Y currently.. it makes the most financial sense as I only keep my cars for 3 or 4 years max. I also always buy my own accessories after I’ve had the car. Whenever the 79.9 k version is out it will qualify for the 7500 point of sale purchase as long as the program still exists… what did I say that wasn’t factual?
As BS car with tons of videos already where user complain that it is just a BETA version of a flawed overpriced and even dangerous product. But guess all those Elon fanboys will say how cool it is to be ripped off by a billionaire. Hopefully many will be stuck due to car failure somewhere off-road where they won‘t able to be towed as the car is super overweight, so much so that in Europe you need a CDL

Overpriced is your opinion, not a fact. This truck is certainly not dangerous. Every automobile is in some way dangerous as even the smallest car can kill people in an accident.

The truck is not overweight at all, it is around the same weight as many 3/4ton pickup trucks are. The Cybertruck is not available to purchase in Europe anyway. Like any of the other common pick-up trucks sold and driven in the US the Cybertruck can be driven with a regular car drivers license.
