You can also subscribe to Tesla's diagnostic software called Toolbox and get immediate access for a day, a month or a year at extremely great prices. All you need is a laptop, no extra cost to buy a scanner. All you need is a cable that fits your Tesla. You can get those from Tesla, eBay or even make your own.
