I have cadillac sts 2006 I tried to do that many times with your guidance and from the manual but still my car is not showing any thing in the DIC when i am rotating the key for five or six times.
Technically i am stucked on 1st step.
Please help me out if you have time.

Sorry, for the late response. I really need the notifications fixed on my account. It sounds like you may have an issue with the ignition if it will not register. Could be a bad spot in the cylinder or the computer may be starting to have issues. I think they also say it must be an original key or replica from the dealer to work.
Make sure you have the right fob part number. There are two different types last o checked that could be the issue. Contact GM and get the exact part number for vin.

@@NorthCoastT I believe I figured it out. So it looks to me that you have the official oem fobs, hense the silver cadillac logo in the middle. So those should work straight forward there are some off brands on amazon that aren't oem and that could be the issue why they aren't programming, or the 4 fobs are used up in the systems or possible end user error.
@@NorthCoastTI was actually having the same issue, does the message only come on when it detects the key fob nearby? I’m thinking maybe I have a non usable key fob

I was able to program the new remote but it won't work.
That is really strange, haven't heard of that one, sorry.
@@NorthCoastT now if I shut my door while the car is running it locks the door, so I have to use the key to unlock my door. That's my old fob by the way, so somehow it got screwed up.
@@louispapp7722 did you try reprogramming both of them? I think you can go through the touch screen menus to forget the fobs 1st.

@louispapp7722 if you have the touch screen on the dash, scroll through the menus. I thought I remember seeing an option to forget key fobs. I could be wrong through. You may have to reprogram the 2 and then it may forget the settings from before.
