I was a huge fan of all the old songs and sounds of ABBA when I was in my 20’s and didn’t think I would enjoy the new music, although I’m not sure why, other than the nostalgia of youth. However, I can’t stop listening to this album. They still sound as beautiful and incredible as ever! My newest bucket list item would be to go to London to see the Voyage concert:)
I did not go to it but was told it was good. however, for me I was not interested in "robots" "singing" their songs. For me there will be nothing like Abba live. They were superb.
My grandad was from Kilkenny and left for the big Dublin city he was obsessed with abba. Can't believe how they did this song
ABBA had your grandad in their mind. 😊
Wish your granddad enjoy this song
Maybe Björn felt this, I wanna believe that this is a tribute to your grandad. ABBA is the band that makes dreams come true, and the world a magic place 🤩🥳
It's wonderful
Laura, Things happen for a purpose. Grandad made his wise choice. Then comes ABBA to sing about our lives and our destinies. I hope your Grandad is alive to hear this Tribute to his place of Irish roots.. I'm sure this will be a favorite at many an Irish wedding, along side Dancing Queen. 🙂
It has been noted that Bjorn and his Family traveled to Kilkenny several times and fell in love with the Coastal beauty, the festive villages and its warm and friendly people. These positive vibes stayed with him to pen these fine lyrics about Kilkenny and the good times he and Family had..🎶❤
まさか2021年に新しいアルバムが出ると思わなった。若いころから大ファンの母が泣いて喜んでいた。素晴らしい曲に出会えたこと、制作に携わったすべての人に感謝したい。
Thank you for the wonderful songs.
I'm thinking of my beloved Irish belle who passed away sometime ago. Here's to you Sherri, I hope you're dancing in the heavenly fair & thank you Abba for such a fantastic album, much love always 💫💖
Remember one thing: Love wil NEVER Die. X
My god. It's so touching. ❤️
The world is Brighter again with ABBA.
As an Irish person this is beautiful. Storytelling is fantastic. Will be played at every Irish wedding along side Dancing Queen.
Yes The sound looks Irish this song is beautifull. Thanks We all dance with you , all four.. ABBA for always
I can just imagine singing and clapping along!! And a more prominent fiddle!
I was just thinking the same thing! There's that joy and wistfulness in it that will never date and always bring happy tears at a sentimental occasion - or is it just me, happy that ABBA have returned?
What a privilege you Irish people to be in an ABBA song.
The Irish spirit is there, and it makes me think of 'The Piper'... what do others think?
I can't believe this is finally happening for real. Keep crying. We are listening to abba brand new in 2021. Are we dreaming? can someone please twist my cheeks to awake me to find whether its for real or not? This is the greatest comeback ever in pop. People just love abba forever. they need them and their great music so much. Timeless. Such a legend.
🕺🎉🎻🎹💃🙏
YES!!!
It's like time stood still and I'm in school again listening to Abba.
A feeling that you're gone back in time
Love you Abba
Send them to the ESC again and all the other poor "artists" can go home.

You can hear (and feel) Benny's craftmanship in every note of this folk song.
Also a little bit 'Arrival' album sound on it.

So many wonderful comments. The only words that come to mind are that this album is heaven, for me at least. For so many people ABBA are more than just music. They are childhood memories, loved ones no longer here. Their return after forty years is very difficult to put into words. Hence the outpouring of emotion from those of us lucky enough to grow up with their wonderful, timeless music. We are privileged to have been here when they were. Future generations will envy us. Stay safe.
Very well said.

People in their 70s come back after 40 years to record a perfect album that extends and deepens the magic, harmonies, scope, lyrical depth of their massive hits decades ago. This album and ABBA show all the other musical acts what class and talent look like.
Amen to that true Statement !!
ProGrow, you aren't a true Muslc lover if you haven't listened and appreciated ABBA songs!
People In their 60s either 😂😂😂
Not gonna lie or sugarcoat it, in this track particularly, they do sound like two singing grandmas. There is a husk and that certain old woman vibrato to their vocals that isn’t there in Don’t Shut Me Down and I Still Have Faith In You.
Still... it’s kinda cute. We should all be so lucky to be so creative and skilled when we in our 70s.
This people have a name,it is ABBA!
As a die hard Irish ABBA fan, I really can't do anything else but say YES to this song!🍀🍀🍀
It’s going to be played on bagpipes like Arrival. Look for the lyrics ♥️
I never been to Ireland. But I never heard of anything bad about the Irish. The Irish are truly the most warm people, God ever created!!!
I’m South African; my grandma was Irish and I wept like a baby.
@@brittakramer7932 arrival’s lyrics can be found at Sarah Brightman. Please listen to it. It’s original Abba lyrics too.
This particular song makes me want to visit Kilkenny. Very fresh and loveable.
After 40 years, their voice is still the same. I am completely amazed. The voice of ABBA has no age. Deep respect.
But there is an added depth and maturity that I didn't hear before. Somehow, I think, they improved greatly, which I wouldn't have thought possible. This latest album is among my very favorite.
Same here Joseph.. I think with added maturity in Agnetha's and Frida's voices, they sound better than ever ❤
@@josephadams2378 Same here.I think that both Voyage and Super Trouper are a fine choice to also listen on Xmas period.
But the meaning has added more like of a...story teller, I feel like listening to elders who tell stories for the next generation
@@gameaddict8187 Hmmm.....you got a point. And it's so well discribed from your side.I feel the same on a couple of tracks(this one / Little Things and the closer Ode to freedom)
I'm so excited. I'm born 92 but I love your music. May God give you more strenght for more sweet music. Love from Kenya
Benny's love for traditional Scandinavian and Northern European music sensibilities (and traditional instruments) is readily apparent with the melodies all through this Voyage album. I absolutely love that! This track in particular stands out...it's wonderful! Frida sounds like magic too as she always has!
Both ladies sing that one together. clear two voices.
@@robertwill23 Sure doing the chorus they do. Abba's sound is that combination.
Congrats Benny, Bjorn, Agnetha and Frida on smashing the charts worldwide.
No 1 is your rightful place. 🥂🥂
Folk is a core to ABBA roots as any other genre. They really know what they’re doing. Not everyone will like it. Who cares? They ain’t obliged. Im a folkie and I think it’s magnificent.
It's not too far from Blackmore's Night
Reminds me on "The Piper"...
God this is the 2nd bad song from the album.
@@mandofan2616 ..not fighting about personal taste I think it is one of the best songs of the album ...but them I also say this about "The Piper" which back then was not whidly recognized... :-)
It’s traditional Swedish folk music culture so this is the type of music all swedes know. Singing, choir singing, folk dancing, playing instruments are part of the Swedish soul and why Sweden is the 2nd largest music producing nation per capita. Choir singing is the most popular recreational activity besides sports. Schools offer free music instruments lessons for all kids if they want as well.
Swedish folk music is special as it’s melancholic and it’s very tied to the beauty and seasons of Sweden.
ABBA is a prime example of being Swedish and on top of that, born outstanding musical talents, working extremely hard and being nice and generous. Swedish culture doesn’t like assholes.
Seeing them release new songs knowing that they were a band from the 70s and were 39 years apart is, I don't know, beyond words amazing, just simply magical, I'm so grateful for this moment 😭❤️
Every band formed since 2000 needs to take lessons from this. Great to hear the golden voices and musical TALENT that, was, is, and ALWAYS will be ABBA. (wiping tears of joy from eyes).

We have Here the genius Benny and Bjoern composers... And Agnethas and Fridas singin ', there is never a bad Abba Song.... Madness... 👱🏼♀️👨🦳🧔🏼👩🏼🦰👩🏼🦳👍🏻👍🏻👌🏼👌🏼
Since 1974 I’ve loved Frida’s soft and dramatic voice and Agnetha’s technical flexibility combined with melancholia. Benny made these ladies sing wonderful harmonies together and Björn created many moving stories.
Voyage is a journey to memories, a trip through diffrent styles and phases of the band. Each song of the album reminds me of something old and familiar:
I Still Have Faith in You has something common with I Wonder from The Album.
When You Danced With Me brings together Arrival and The Piper.
Little Things has the same kind of tranquility and minimalism as Like an Angel Passing Through My Room.
Don’t Shut Me Down combines elements of One of Us, If It Wasn’t for the Night and Dancing Queen.
Just a Notion has the same kind of swedish dansband music style as I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do. And the vocals represent something genuinely old from 1978.
I Can Be That Woman can be compered to I’ve Been Waiting for You and Andante, Andante, although the latter is sung by Frida.
Keep an Eye on Dan refers undoubtebly to SOS which is even underlined in the end. It has also some similarities with Kisses of Fire, Visitors and Summer Night City.
Bumblebee brings together Our last Summer and I have a Dream, both ballads sung by Frida.
No Doubt About It has some similarities with Hole in Your Soul and Elaine but it reminds me more of Frida’s solo recordings than any spesific Abba song. Especially Tell Me It’s Over is in my mind.
Ode to Freedom sounds a new kind of Abba song because of it’s operatic chorus. One can find some similarity with I Let the Music Speak?
Abba: Thank You for the music, all these years and memories! Thanks for these new songs that totally surprised many of us.
I appreciate all the thought you put into this.
Yeah, I can appreciate how you can relate so many of the new songs to older songs, but it's not necessarily what ABBA intend. They've always made a point of not repeating themselves. After more than a year since Voyage's release maybe you can hear more of the songs' individuality?
@@grantc61 Thanks for Your opinion. I did not mean that they are repeating themselves. Experienced artists just tend to use same themes along years. They use variation of those elements that are typical for them.
@@a.vainio3695
I mean, it would not be unheard of ABBA to try and refine an old formula.
Super Trouper is extremely similar to Nina, Pretty Ballerina. Same key, similar progression, and even similar themes (preparing for the party).
Abba thank you for new and old music !
As a celt I would say this sounds very Celtic/sea shanty . Love it. 🏴 🇮🇪 🏴
In this era, when everyone believes that all music is already written and can only be repeated and reworked, ABBA is showing that new melodies can be discovered. They still have the golden key.
Yes Victor, ABBA have the golden key.

Letter to the members of the ABBA group.
Hello dear Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny and Anni-Frid! A new fan of the ABBA group from Russia is writing to you. My name is Arthur, I am 20 years old. I am writing this letter to you to thank you for your wonderful music and to congratulate you on the release of your new album. I also want to say that your music is constantly heard in our house, since my mother has been a fan of your work since childhood. Personally, I became interested in your band when I heard two new songs that were released in September. These songs sound amazing! After their release, I began to look forward to the new album. I have been listening to your album for 2 days and already have some favorite songs like “Don’t Shut Me Down”, “When You Danced with Me”, “Just a Notion” and “Keep an Eye on Dan”.
Best wishes,
Arthur.
part of abba's charm and appeal, for me, is that unlike almost every other group, the lyrics are shared four fold. first we have agnetha, then we have frida, bjorn always pops up for the occasional contribution and then of course we have these two delightful, angelic, soulful, fabulous voices combined. so now we have four different vocal sounds, thus contributing to their incredible versatility. abbasolutely incredibly wonderful. i am still in shock to think that we are listening to brand new abba, and that the whole world rejoices with me. bravo to the four of them.
This song is problably my favorite Abba song. It makes me feel so many things and makes me wanna cry. It is so beautifully singed played, written and produced and has such a bittersweetness to it that makes it hard to put into words.
Thankyou very well said. Amen to that true Statement!!

Frida's Vocal is absolutely stunning hard to believe she is 76!!!!! her voice has not changed one bit.
Diana Ross has released her album too. Both are beautiful ladies.
Both Agnetha and Frida have superb voices still.
Among all the great songs contained on "Voyage", this one is the standout track. I loved "I Still Have Faith In You" and "Don't Shut Me Down" from the very start but I was a bit concerned about what the other songs would sound like and wondered if they would be able to "compete" with the singles. On November 5th all my doubts were trashed to bits as soon as I heard the instrumental intro of this song: the ABBA soundscape in all its glory. Joy, energy, interlocking melodies, blissful harmonies, a pulsating beat and all the folk-like references... it's just pure ABBA.
Abba is the pure genius of sentimental music without ever being cheesy. It's really amazing how they manage to extract the beauty out every possible sentimental situation.
I want to cry, but with emotion... you are back! Gratitude! 🇧🇷❤️🙏

One of the most amazing things about ABBA is their ability to create joyful bangers of songs that you hear once and feel you have known all your life. I love the ABBA Celtic-Scandi folk songs like this, 'Arrival' and 'The Way Old Friends Do'. If you listen to this without a grin from ear to ear and tapping your feet or having a bit of a jig, just check you have a pulse. Amazing old school quality at it's absolute best....there will be nothing like THOSE voices ever.

i've been a devoted abba fan ever since as a young boy i saw them first walk on stage in brighton in 1974 for their contribution to the eurovision song contest with their unforgettable winner 'waterloo'.
who could forget their outstanding joy as they performed?
who could forget their costumes? who could forget their conductor?
abbasolutely {oh, oh here i start} love them and almost every song of theirs is near perfection.
their musicality. their vocals. their harmonies. their lyrics {ok, sometimes there was a bit of doubt there, but hey i can hardly rhyme in my own language, never mind somebody elses}.
i had all their albums, all their singles and therefore knew all of those obscure b sides that weren't on any of their albums and nobody else ever seemed to know. what a crazy world.
i loved them even when it wasn't cool to like them, during that {now} brief decade or so when it wasn't cool at all.
thank god that changed and people realised the quality of their music.
thank god for karaoke where 'i have a dream' in honour of my beloved mum would be/still is my go to song to start off with.
couldn't believe my ears when i heard the news back in spring of 2018 that two new songs were to be released.
could this possibly be true or was my brother teasing me?
couldn't contain my joy and excitement that the {almost given up on} dream was about to come true.
and then after all of these years of hoping, and never expecting, the even more wonderful news that an album was forthcoming.
the three years of delicious anticipation was worth doing over and over.
reading on and on and on the comments {and in all of those delightfully different languages too, thank god for google translate} about all the songs and what it has meant to so many others has brought out so many emotions. i've cried tears of joy and cried tears of sadness too.
how lucky are we to be alive today and listening {simultaneously} to new music from this incredible band?
how unfortunate are those who are no longer here with us to not have the honour of being able to listen to them and read the joy that this music has brought to so many of us.
this album is abba now and abba always. it's now and then combined. it's is a voyage beyond comparison. i'm so grateful for its arrival.
their musicality. their vocals. their harmonies. their lyrics ... well ok a tiny weeny bit of doubt there still, {but hey my rhyming hasn't improved any in the last three minutes either, much less my basic and obvious attempts to incorporate a few of their treasured masterpieces}.
i'm so moved that so many of us the world over has rejoiced in this true miracle. i didn't think i was the only abba fan left in the world by a long shot, but it sure is nice to get the feeling of such unity.
they didn't need to do it, i'm just sooooooooooooo grateful they did. their fans around the globe rejoice.
listening to these brand new abba songs around the world has united us like i never knew could be possible.
what a glorious union, the likes of which are rare and oh so hard to find.
reading the comments from around the world has been uplifting.
i feel in touch with strangers. how great a legacy is that?
to a wonderful group, to four wonderful people who are amazing apart but who have proven to be beyond spectacular as the foursome that they created all those years ago.
you've helped make me the man that i am today. i don't even want to think of a life without my abba music. it's been a part of my whole life.
what a group. what a moment in time to be alive.
thank you, thank you, thank you and thank you {one for each of them, not my original thought but copied from another fan's comment} for the music.
the world is a better place because of you. wow.
you have a story, and it most certainly has survived. it transcends so much. it's almost beyond words.
and i know they say that they never split before and i know that they say that this time is the last time.
perhaps there is no doubt about it, yes this may well be the end.
but i have a dream and it is quite simple ... i dream that they change their minds.
from an ever loving fan who hopes that somehow these four incredible souls know of all the joy that this brings to all of us.
Always been an Abba fan. What a variety of great music they sing. All these years on, they have never lost their sparkle. Pleased they have
made a comeback with new songs.
They will live for ever that's for sure!
Thank you for the music !! ABBA! I love you~~
Only ABBA could make a comeback, 40 years later, drop an entire new album of great music and at least 3, maybe 4 of the best songs they've ever had included - not to mention one of the most technologically advanced series of concerts to date so everyone could get the chance to see them 'live'. Right when we needed them to most. Bless every one of them.
This song really has a ... magical atmosphere to it, almost Celtic style.
The songs of the new album are lovely and moving, but this is my favourite one!!
A song that makes you want to cry and laugh at the same time is truly medicinal!!
These people (ABBA) will never know how deeply they touched some people with their music.
