This wrestling training video explains the Elbow Tie - Duck Under.
Fanatic Wrestling, like it’s sister site BJJ Fanatics was founded by a pair of grappling fanatics dedicated to bringing you the best wrestling competitors and coaches in the world to learn from. They both realized they were missing an entire section of the grappling community so the idea for Fanatic Wresting was born.

good instruction, personally I like and it makes more sense to me to duck the side that my head is on. Less movement, faster and more efficient for me.

4 minutes of info overload. Just teach the mechanics of the technique, not the situationals. The mechanics... short and sweet instruction.

@@dinopalavra876 ... in my 30 years of competition & coaching, it became crystal clear that kids lost focus EASILY with this kind of instruction... short, to the point, simple. Teach the mechanics, break down the technique, move one. The situationals come into play during play & live wrestling, and should be instructed there. This kind of instruction diverts from the point & rabbit trails far too much for most kids to not get lost.
If you disagree with that, you probably shouldn't be coaching... or commenting for that matter.

@@smashleyscott8272 who said this meant for kids? This video is not very difficult to digest unless you are a complete beginner.

@@GrappleHeavy93 ..... interestingly enough, a vast majority complete beginners in wrestling ARE kids, correct...?? Wrestling has been a huge part of my life for over 30 years... in that time period, I can count on ONE HAND how many adults I've known who take up the endeavor of learning to wrestle, and every single one of them were grapplers.
So, if you read my comments, the overall point is about holding the attention of the one being taught... this piece of instruction is too long.
      Merry Christmas!

@@smashleyscott8272 You know, you don't keep having to let everyone know you wrestled before right? Listing your cridentials does not in some way help your argument, the point itself should be the argument.
Also, yes most beginners are kids, however like I said before this is not a beginner level move. Definitely more intermediate-advanced level.
Also I don't think a 3-5 minute video is exactly that thorough. John Smith has 15 minute videos on UA-cam showing this exact technique. Showing a technique on UA-cam is also drastically different than coaching a team or group in person.

@@GrappleHeavy93 .... the point is further substantiated by my experience... thirty plus years worth. The point is simple: teaching kids needs to be short, simple, and to the point to hold their attention. Beginners need simple, BASIC instruction.... quick, and to the point. John Smith does SEMINAR style instruction... more nuanced and detailed. He's more to the point when he's instructing kids. Most of his content is for other coaches and college athletes... those are NOT beginners.
Technique and skill is built and grown through repetition... that requires more time for drilling. Less time spent giving instruction, is more time spent applying the instruction. Basically rote learning... the less there is to process, the easier it is to apply... the more time applying the instruction, the better the skill set. That's BASIC coaching. Lesson is over, so move along.
      Merry Christmas.
