Good stuff my guy, I missed moth into flame idk my brain wouldn’t spit it out. Metallica is amazing and James is the OG riff writer. Think of all the riffs that could be a song that only play during a guitar solo. He’ll go to a sick riff just for that and it’s gone. There’s a million.
Nice mate, theres a couple of riffs in Fade to Black I’d include in my top ten. So many to choose from though so tough to choose only ten riffs. Subscribed mate 🤘🏼
Great selection. I would include bridge section from Leper Messiah. Secondly the riff from Halo on Fire after the "quiet section", in about 6th minute of the song. But my personal winner is the riff from Struggle Within which starts after the solo...that must be one of the best riffs ever written :)
How long you been playing electric guitar for and got any tips and advice for when you first started learning ? I've recently started to learn electric guitar but have a bad attention span when comes to learning things and end up getting frustrated with myself and end up putting my electric guitar away for weeks on end, hopefully one day i can overcome this problem and play electric guitar really well and play all my favourite Metallica riffs as well as you in this video as there my favourite ever band.
I started playing when I was in my early teens, & I just turned 40. I’m certainly not where I’d like to be, but that’s because life happens! Persistence is key. The more you play, the more natural it becomes. Try learning songs you like, it will help build your foundation and hopefully keep you on track because it’s not just a boring exercise. Everything will gradually start falling into place. Chord shapes, power chords, strumming, picking etc. Before you know it you’ll be able to just pick it up and play things, & you’ll find yourself wanting to play. It takes time. It is frustrating. It takes work. But the payoff is amazing.
Finally someone that doesn’t pick newer songs (except for Moth)! Great choices and also the ones I enjoy playing as well! This vid gets a well deserved like🤘🏻
@@DaveWebbMusic. 11:32 this riff isn’t even made by Metallica. it’s Dave Mustaine from Megadeth, he wrote it. after Dave got kicked out of Metallica, Dave said to them don’t use my music.. and of course they did. this riff along with all the solos from the first album, co wrote several songs, parts on the first, second and third Metallica are all Dave’s
My favourite riff is battery. I struggle with transition from gallops to the barre chord on A and D strings. The low E rings while i play the barre, any tips?
Even 3 finger pickin it like PapaHet! Got yourself a new subscriber! \m/
Very cool! Moth into Flame is an absolute banger live! Great choice to include it!
Great choices of riffs. Agree with all of them. Nice one.

Dude I love Fade to Black! Choosing only 10 was hard 😵💫 a lot of sick riffs were left out.
Aussie, Awesome Guitar and tone, Metallica, ....BOOM SUBSRCIBED 😅 love it
Cheers dude! 🤘🏼
Huge Metallica fan and these are some great picks!

Love it!

Moth into the flame is fire 🔥
Underrated best riff for me is the chorus riff in no remorse
Thos is a very solid list
Surprise: Lars has the writing credit for the ride the lightning riff intro. How’d he do it not knowing how to play guitar? Who knows lol
Ooo I like that little fact. Thanks for sharing.
@ thanks for the video brother! Great playing.

can you make video about james three finger pick technique please? i think it will be interesting
💪😎🎸KILLA 🎸🥃🦅🥃
I don't think the interlude part you chose for The Four Horsemen is in the Mechanix so it is only a Metallica riff (unless I'm wrong)
u should name ur top 10 metallica albums 👀
😂
10 favorite riffs isnt alot at all. Fuck...there's more than 10 riffs in one song lol
😂
Good choices . Glad it wasn’t the usual S&D, main MOP riff, SBT stuff (not that those are bad, they are just too obvious at this stage)
