Non-drummers will never understand the cost of drums or the effort involved to play a full acoustic set. My current set up is an Evans Low volume and it's awesome. The new set up looks absolutely rad!

I practice in our bonus room. No treatment at all. I had played when no one is home, but it is loud outside. The only time I have to play is late at night, so I haven't touched the kit in about a year. I never thought about looking for Whisper Rooms on Marketplace. Nice idea! Living in the Nashville area, I'm sure I'll find some around here to buy.

Moved to Murfreesboro just short of two years ago because kids and grandkids are in the area. Saw you playing downtown about 5 yrs ago but didn’t get to meet you. I have an electric kit in my garage, but it has its limitations. Maybe we’ll cross paths sometime.
I was having a similar issue, I tried to do the electric kit thing, it is so much more fulfilling to be on my acoustic kit, it's where it's at! I really want one of those isolation booths, that is sick man!

Literal same boat, congrats. I went with silent stroke / zildjian l80s to not drive my wife / 4 month old crazy. But I was looking at the whisper rooms. Amazing you found one used. Would love to see more about the construction / sound tests etc
First I would love to Thank you for helping me on my drumming journey, I would do those drum warm up as my rudiments every day for almost 5 months or something and they formed a foundation for building on my drum culture as an African drummer and worship drummer may God bless you and lift you , thank you 😊, my friends wonder how I quickly learned the drums without practicing the drums (I would practice using my bed and pillows and moving my left foot as if I was controlling my hihat) 😂,
First of all Congratulations! Happy for you and sending blessings. I'm excited to see the follow up with playing examples. Whisper Room is lacking on content demonstrating how it works with drums. I'm interested in building one inside a condo but the lack of drum specific examples is concerning. Drums being one of the loudest examples of use, one would think they would be proactive in providing it's efficacy. I appreciate your content and love your playing, I'm sure you are busy and I don't expect a "commercial" for the product. I trust your perspective and would really love to hear your review of the room. Thanks!
Yes, I was disappointed in the amount of quality videos truly putting the booth to the test as well. I hope to remedy that with my video!

I’m looking to do a “soundproofing” project in a shed in my backyard and I have been looking at your drum room vid for inspiration. Where do you think you went wrong? It seems like y’all did a lot of work for it not to work out.

Dude I have so much respect for your struggle of finding a way to play drums in a domestic space while being mindful of the noise. It's very distracting to me as a drummer to play when there are other people home, not because they complain but because it's just such a loud and obtrusive instrument. It's hard to get in the flow of things and play like I need to in order to progress when I know that by doing so anyone around me has to hear the racket and can't concentrate on their own stuff. Kudos to you for balancing your passion and dedication to the art with your consideration for having a home that's livable for everyone else. You are the man. Congrats on the baby!
Very well said! That was a huge factor for me as well. We plan an instrument with no chords or melody so it can sound like noise and chaos to the untrained listener when we practice. I felt self-conscious all the time when playing. Not good.
