The music that accompanies this exercise really helped. I could get into a groove while playing.
Exsctly
Exactly
Great backing track!
It helps the brain to get focused into playing it instead of losing focus over repeating the same rythm for a minute
I really like the music in the background, how can I get it, thanks
It's been 2 weeks that I follow this warmup before every single session and I've seen my singles getting so much better, even the motions, wrist and finger techniques are getting better and better, more precise every time. I also take advantage of this to mark the time with my left foot on the hi hat, swithcing between downbeats and upbeats. Every other day I also do the warmup once again but with my feet on the double pedal and it helps a lot too ! On top of that I can't get bored with the nice melodies and it's become a sort of meditation, so I can't thank you enough for putting this together. I only wish you'd done the same with the 180bpm with this nice melody on top. It's stupid, but it's way easier to get down to it knowing there's a melody behind, because it's still playing music rather than playing to a metronome alone and it's way more enjoyable. When I found this video I was starting to feel some pain in my right hand hence looking for a good warmup. Since I do it the pain has gone so it's another motivation to keep warming up every time.
I do the same thing ! I play different notes with my twin pedal or hat. Those warm-ups are really great !!!
If you want 180 bpm then speed up the video.
@@gmoney9794 gosh that's smart, or I'm dumb 😅 thx
So true about the melody. Personally I use Rammsteins album "Mutter" for Metronome. Has a lot of variation in tempo between each track. Very ideal for double pedal🤘
@@casperthomsen5450 good idea I'll try this song, thanks !
You are the best drum teacher ever 😂
Thanks so much for this efficient and quality video it helps a lot 🙏🙏🙏
Honestly, I'm not even a drummer. I just got a drum pad to give my rhythmic senses and extra degree of workout for my music as a whole. Exercises like these are *really* helping too!
That said, now this makes me want a drum set, haha!
This has got to be the most interesting warm up videos out there! I'm all warmed up now, thank you! I'm gonna come back to this video every single day from now on!
You still doin it?
Just started drumming this week, and between this and Drumeo I'm sure in a few months I'll start feeling good.
I feel compelled to write a few songs for this exact warm up plan so practicing can feel fresh.
one of the best warmups i've found that is doable for all skill levels. Thank you!
As a beginner your warm up technique is helping me to play a lot faster than usual ..
Excellent warmup, very effective, thank you.
Glad you found it effective!
Great, a UA-cam drumming video that mentions lack of warm up can cause injury! 👍 Even with wrist strokes Gladstone is great, let the stick bounce up to where you threw it from with fluid wrist motion, it's faster, (unless you're changing dynamic level) instead of stopping the bounce and then lifting the stick back. Great exercises.. Do the exercises at every dynamic level, this will increase your expression/dynamics control when playing.
Picked up the drums a year ago just training myself with no real warmup etc, and this is the best thing I could of found. Thank you, thank you, Ty, Ty, X x - Billion!!! Liked & subscribed ✌️🤘
This is such a great warm up! Thank you so much for creating this. I'll be using it on a regular basis
Please Jeff make more these ! This has been absolutely fun and useful!
I’ve done this warmup 5 times at most and I already feel my singles improving so much! My left hand is feeling way stronger overall and I’m playing much more relaxed. This is a year and a half into my playing. Thank you so much, Jeff!! I’ve learned some great stuff from multiple videos of yours
4 months later and I’m playing my first gig tomorrow! This has helped my hands so much!!!
This is *such* a great video. You really helped me a lot already and I have only seen a fraction of your videos. You're a great drummer & teacher.
Hi Jeff, congratulations on your great quality channel! I also really like these guided exercises on the practice pad, I hope to see others as soon as possible, perhaps also inserting other rudiments.
I haven't played in some time and was looking for a good warmup routine. This is wonderful. Great post.
A very nice warm up!!! I love the music and it’s the perfect length for targeting all the muscle groups!!! It works for me very well!!
You have been a huge help, I do this practically every day before practicing. Thank you Jeff!
Jeff, Thanki You for this video and making me warm up and have a better look to this activity.
Great work here, thank you. Just what I was looking for help with, all great stuff.
Good warm up. Nice combinations to make it interesting. Thanks for posting!
I've just started learning about drumming. Your video is very helpful. Thank You for sharing.
WOW! It’s so much better warming up with someone! Thx for this and all that you contribute to the crazy world of drumming!🙏🏻
Excellent video. All perfect!!! Feels great doing it.
this is the best rudiment warm-up video I've found so far, sub'd and bookmarked in my practice list. Thank you!
Thanks for such a nice warm up video! Having fun!
Great warmup. This makes warming up fun. Thank you.
I followed this warm up with the music as well. It was so helpful that I locked the groove quickly and enjoyed the practice well.
That was an amazing warm up exercise! I've been looking for something to step up my skillz on the drums but for now all I got is my pad and stick so was looking for something I could follow along with thanks!
What a most wonderfully relaxed teacher you are dude and what a great set of warmups. I shall be incorperating this into my practices during the week. Thankyou :)
hello, I have just had a full play a long with this on my practise pad this morning and I found it very useful. thank you very much... this has helped a lot and will use this video as my starting point for much more use each timer before coming to the kit 😀
Excellent tutorials. Thanks a lot Jeff !!!
Perfect play along warm up I will be using this for weeks to come
This is so good. I actually look forward to doing this session, sometimes more than once.
Thanks a lot for this useful warm up! I’ve been giving you views at least once a day for the past few month😂
This is a very comfortable, easy breezy kinda warm up. Very gratifying, felt great to get on the kit afterwards.
Thank You so much, this is my new favorite way to warm up! The background music is super helpful for me to get into the groove and feel it, rather than think it!
Great stuff. Quick and easy way to speed up without metronome. Click on video settings > playback speed > custom > adjust to 1.1 and so on.
Please make more of these, Jeff!! I love them and they have become my go to pad exercises and warmups. I agree that the background music helps to get into that wonderful “zen” state!! 😊
Hi Jeff! I´ve been doing this video for a month and a half and I have to say that it is an amazing routine, I can´t practice without warming up with your video (for real) thanks for sharing, I hope you can do another video like this. Greetings from Mexico!
This is the best warm up I have seen! I started playing in September 2020 at my church and am playing full time for them now! Thanks for the content and look forward to continuing to learn from you. It has helped me out a ton.
This one is great! Also look up Tommy Igoe Lifetime Warm Up. There is different levels people post here on YT. Beginner is a great start.
This guy is a FANTASTIC drummer to learn from. You can branch out to any form of music with his base in my opinion. The only thing I would add is a little double bass practice so your well rounded.
Love this Jeff.
I started using this video before all practice sessions.
Hands feel so much better when i jump on the kit
Thanks so much Jeff - super helpful as always!!!
This was amazing help to me. It's not just a warm up, for a beginner like me, it's pure gold, great practice. I'm going to do this daily for a long, long time! Thanks Jeff!
Hi Jeff, your video on Hand Technique has truly made me to understand and know exactly the difference between each technique in terms of holding the drumsticks. My confusion has ended after watching the video. You are a true teacher.
Thanks for this gift, Jeff ❤
Exactly what i needed, thanks for this mate!🤜🏻🤛🏻
I'm just doing this on my pillow, finding it therapeutic haha. Great video! thanks
Best warm up that I have found.
Thank you very much bro. These exercises helped me a lot.
These practical excercises are effective and efficient for 20 min. Thanks Jeff. I have been using it for my warmups frequently. And thanks for the 1 on 1! I'll see ya'🥁
Thanks to you!
Now I'm motivated to do this practicetl that I've never done since I start drumming in our church.
Very good classes ! help me a lot on the strokes .... Thanks
I am 66 and was a pretty drummer when I started 11 , playing double bass Rogers/ Ludwig Super sen. snare and Speed King pedals, Paiste cymbols. I was in the Navy reserve and School band. I Drummed to Ringo Star, Ginger Baker, Bonzo, Doug Clifford. I quit playing in my late teens. I just started playing again only with a pad , sticks and metornome. I love your channel and practice everyday following you. Thank you
I really enjoyed this one. I never thought about stretching before and after I play the drums. It was really nice listening to my own tempo and hearing me and you okay at the same time. As well as the background music lining up with the tempo. Everything was in perfect balance. I absolutely loved this. Thank you so much!🤍
At this point, I don't know how many times I've gone through this video. It's a lot! What an amazing resource! I've pick drumming back up after a 4 or 5 year hiatus, and this video has become my bedrock! Thank you for all the hard work you put into your content and for being willing to share some of your knowledge and technical insights! It means so much knowing that life is full of gatekeepers and you've chosen to open up, flooding the world! Thank you!
Your are great bro you shown us easy way thanks I'm excited
Thank you for posting!
Thanks Jeff, I'm using this video daily now and in only one week I have seen it's benefit to my speed and control. Simple and effective !
Thank you so much for doing this! I just started learning the drums at 46 😅 You make it easy to learn!
Big thanks! Works really well🙏👍🏻
I have never warmed up for so long, I Finally did it! It is very important to warm up... Thank you so much!
Thanks so much Jeff, been playing for 4 years and usually don’t warm up longer than 5 minutes. As soon as I finished the warmup and started playing I immediately noticed an improvement in how clean my playing was. Usually I would just start playing and my fingers and wrists would cramp up but the warmup really helped, one of my favorite drum channels!
Thanks!! More please. The music in the background was helpful and enjoyable.
It would be legendary if you'd make the series with this)
Like playalongs for different exercises, rudiments, speed builders, or straight vs swong etc.
I find myself having much more motivation to work on basics together with video)
Excellent Jeff, thank you very much!
I must say, this is a wonderful exercise. I've been going now for 3 days and my goodness lol. Thank you for this Jeff.
Thank you for this, seriously thank you so much, I’ve never had a very concrete routine for warm ups, and this has really been helping me. I’ve been doing it for about 3 weeks now twice a day and my hands are better than ever.
I also started doing my hands and feet at the same time with this and that is working wonders for strength and control especially with my weak left foot. Thank you 🙏🏻
A year ago I started my drumming journey and finding my way.
Since a month or two this warmup is my #1 exercise in my little arsenal of exercises to get drumming into my system.
And it works noticeably. Happy with that. Thank you so much!
Been playing drums almost 32 years & every couple years I find it helpful to almost start fresh learning through the basics & just keeping it simple. I love the backing track 2 this & saved it 2 my warm-up Playlist! I immediately Subbed 2 your channel also. Thnx 4 this
I've been at this for over 40 yrs off & on. This warm up is really good young buck. It's pretty impressive to see the control you have and that I'm gaining by doing this exercise along with you. May God continue to bless you
Thank you so so so much,bro...you are amazing. A hugh from Argentina
I do this exercise with you every day except sunday and have been doing it for at least half a year. Its great and so is the music in the backround.
I love the music you chose. It is so soothing and relaxing. I want to follow along now but I am at work lol
Amazing for getting my kids into it, hearing how to listen to the groove and be IN it not just following a metronome
Just got a practice pad to start learning and I stumbled on you channel. Really appreciate the accompaniment of music!
Very effective warming as well as speeding exercise Thank you so much.God bless you 🙏🙏🙏👍❤️
I've been playing for 2 years this is honestly one of the few times I've really felt my muscles working! Thank you!
