Y'all, I'm one of Jeff's students, he's an AMAZING teacher, my playing has grown so much in my eyes. Jump on it, I've had a few teachers and they either treat you like your another face or charge way way way too much, Jeff crushes in teaching just like he crushes in drumming. Amazing ethic, both playing and teaching. He's a monster
That's a good idea I've been not in positions for rehearsal so I like your warmup idea and will be doing it for a period , thank you also for the invitation to personally teach me .
Thanks again Jeff..I've been mentored by Jeff in so many ways since September 2022...I do weekly sessions mostly...my improvement has skyrocketed...his style, simplicity, and the resources he uses are priceless. I'd suggest you tryout a 1 to 1 with him...and see if you are both a good fit.... 'cause if you feel so, you will get better and be that drummer you wanna be! Gor for it! Thanks for everything Jeff!! Keep on 🥁!
Man, I played along to this for like 15 mins and then set it aside whilst working (from home) and I've unironically sat here enjoying it for like another 10 minutes just in the background (played it through a couple times)
Made it thru 100bpm, when it came to 120bpm I felt myself struggling a bit. But overall a fun warm-up! I'll be coming back to this one till I can play it comfortably at 140bpm😁👍🏼
Thanks a lot for this Jeff! It's not even the exercise or the warm-up itself that will make me start my practice sessions with playing along to this, but the comradery! Even though it's a video on UA-cam, I'm still playing with you if that makes any sense, and that felt really nice. Thanks for putting so much effort into these videos, I appreciate it!
Hi there I'm an older person starting out learning drumset, wow thank you for helping me reach another level of drumming.i work at it almost every day and i am improving thank you for your time and energy 😊
If I ever get the pleasure of playing in front of a decent crowd of people on a Friday night, I will owe a lot of that moment to this here video, thank you for putting this out for the people Jeff 🤟
I'm re-learning how to play matched grip, and this is perfect because it's helping to slowly get that feel, that moeller motion that the right hand knows... the way that you've put these exercises together - right hand, then left, is great for what i'm doing because i'm able to really notice the feel in the right hand and try and mirror that with the left. Thanks a lot, also with the music is super relaxing and promoting that mind body connection that I need to try and get that feel in the left hand. Basically thanks, and great video :D
Jeff inspires you not only to be a better drummer but a better teacher too! Simple (not easy, ikr) and boring technique exercise took to another level to keep you engaged and willing to put it on repeat daily. Thanks for your dedication, cheers from Italy!
These play along videos are great! You should do more of these, I'm going to revisit this frequently, it's great to hear the metronome, see the sticking pattern, and see you playing at the same time. Helps timing and form so much! Thank you Jeff!
Jeff you’re just an all around cool dude. Really enjoying your content from you new space. Hopefully have something similar one day so don’t ever delete your studio build video! Cheers fella!
Thank you so much. This ist helping me so much. I do this now a month and it is getting better and smoother. Athough I am still by 100 BPM. I imagine Drummers all around the Word playing with you. Greetings from Germany!
Weekly practice? More like daily! I haven't played in years, but I have some sticks and a practice pad and I'm trying this each day! Can't do the fastest tempo just yet. Thanks for the great video
Thank you so much Jeff, these 2 warmups of yours completely changed my drumming. I am doing one or the other everytime I play, no more pain in the hands, I'm way cleaner and faster and progress is never ending. I can't thank you enough...
This is such a great practice for both the Moeller and the Push-Pull techniques. This workout is one of the integral parts of my everyday practice. Thank you so much!
Hey Jeff, this is a great warmup exercise and compliments your other warmup video, which I will also be sharing with my students. THANK YOU! Also, your prudent approach to speed and injury prevention is to be commended in a sea of YT shred drumming vids. One aspect you may consider commenting on is to pay attention to (matched) grip symmetry and the tone you produce from each hand, especially, for those who are new to whip stokes or push/pull techniques. It can be a challenge for the weaker hand to comfortably house the stick while doing more eccentric bigger movements like these whip strokes. Even grip = even tone. Anyway, thanks again for making another clear and concise warmup play along.
This really is an unbelievable warm up/skills acquirement test! You can’t hide!!! I really found the left had whipping so hard but mostly on the e’s. Noticed my wrist cheating and not whipping. Once I worked hard on that it really transformed how it felt!!!! Daily work!!!
Hey Jeff! I’ve been playing drums 52 years and I’m into your warm ups daily! The whipping stroke sets have really strengthened my left hand! Well done young man!!
Thanks again Jeff...I've been mentored by Jeff in so many ways since September 2022...I do weekly sessions mostly...my improvement has skyrocketed...his style, simplicity, and the resources he uses are priceless. Keep on 🥁
Thank you for this!! I’ve also been working to bring my left foot into the mix by playing the hats along with the click. Its helping me build left foot independence while warming up.
Great lesson Jeff! You are a great inspirator in your way of teaching. I hope for another warm-up video on double strokes after this one and the previous warm-up for beginner and intermediate! Keep on going
Tougher than it looks! Never did get the whipping motion going and now paying the price after 40 years of playing. Still never too late! Thanks Jeff great lesson.
I really love this exercise I practice this every day because I really want to get better and to me that is Key you must want it ,work at it, and believe it or not achieve it. At first I could only do the slower one, then I got better for the 2nd one, but the day finally came when I could achieve the third on at 140bpm which I'm sure many drummers say oh that ain't fast but for me it was a mountain ❤but I'm there now thank sir for your help ❤
This has helped my technique tremendously! Thanks for taking the time to make these types of videos, our parasocial relationship is off the charts with how much time we've spent together
This is fantastic. It’s been some months since I’ve watched your videos. Always enjoy them and good info. Keep up the good work, and it’s cool to watch your evolution on UA-cam.
I have only practicepad, not drums and I'm completely beginner but I get so much fun just for practicing techniques and rhytms. Im planning to buy my first e-drums sometimes at spring. 👍
Kind of stunning how my left hand, in the faster bpm’s struggles on it’s own, but one the right hand comes in to play the same rhythm, it has no problem whatsoever!
Great lesson! Thank you. I'm finding that my right hand has no problem doing the whipping stroke. Feels in control and fluid, however, my left hand feels a bit awkward and not fluid. Should I do these exercises with only my left hand until i have the control and fluidity of my right. Also, it feels like I'm hitting accents when I do this exercise.
Thanks a lot man for this amazing exercise. It helped me improve exponentially within a fortnight. I helped me play a lot better with the grooves and the songs I was not good at really better now. Thanks for the amazing course. Please bring some exercises with Paraddidles. Thanks in advance. 🙏🙏🙏

No excuse not to practice when you make it this fun. Your warm up exercises are second to none.
i dont know where the fun came in?
Could not have said it better myself. He is my favourite teacher!

Ey all UA-camrs out there, learn from this guy. I just discovered this channel and I really appreciate this work. Wish you the best.
Dude, never take this video down, I exercise with it almost daily 💯 thank you 🎉
This has been a classic warm up exercise for a while for me now and was the first exercise that actually started developing my hands. It's great
Thanks for putting music to this...makes a worllllllld of difference.
Man, I played along to this for like 15 mins and then set it aside whilst working (from home) and I've unironically sat here enjoying it for like another 10 minutes just in the background (played it through a couple times)
Yup definitely putting this on for my warm ups now. Great choice for backing tracks. Thanks Jeff
Hope you enjoy it!

You should do more of these for various rudiments! One for singles, doubles, paradiddles etc.
Love this. Reminds me of the drumline warmups our instructor had us do back in the day.
Thank you sooooo much for this. This has been the most relaxing and meditative drum practice I've come across. A++++ on this!!!
