Just hearing Dave's voice immediately sends me to the brink of tears. Even middle-aged and older men still have a little boy inside, and he made baseball so, so special for me. My favorites were spring training interviews with Lou Piniella. As fiery and crazy as Piniella could be, just hearing them talk on the radio during the early days of spring, and hearing the hope and promise of the new season in their voices, gave me so much to look forward to. Now there's more to look back at, and this was extremely special to me. Thank you.
Whoever created this. Thank you for doing this. I've seen it done with other games and now we have the full TV and radio calls of the game, now we just need the New York version and we got all three. Hopefully, that's out there somewhere
I was at this game, so I had never heard the complete broadcast by the M's announcers. I had heard highlights, but I really appreciate you uploading the M's broadcast synced to the TV. It is especially memorable hearing Dave Niehaus' gravelly voice again. I was sitting in center field in the second deck. I'll never forget the noise and excitment when Edgar won the game. You could really feel the old Kingdome rocking!
How many Hall of Famers? Griffey, Edgar, Mattingly, (rookie) Mariano Rivera, (rookie) Alex Rodriguez, Randy, and of course it’s not just the players in this game. Dave Niehaus is in The Hall, and of course Steinbrenner is the most iconic figure in baseball history as an owner. I’m sure I’m leaving out others…. Just incredible! - this entire series was. Niehaus nailed it with this call - and I’m not just talking about the final call of Edgars double. From start to finish, he painted the scene brilliantly.
It’s still amazing to me how fast the Mariners won it in the 11th. The whole sequence took four minutes, 27 seconds (including Buck’s argument time) and McDowell only threw 8 pitches.
As a Washington state native and Seattle sports guy through and through, I imagine yankee fans felt after this game the way we SuperSonics fans felt after game 5 of the first round against Denver the year before. All cocky up 2-0 talking sweep and then….crap.
you wonder, as hard as he is throwing... why Robert Griffin III was ever allowed to stay in the game when everyone could see his knee was hanging by a thread... Randy Johnson was on the edge of Dave Niehaus's sense here but no where near that bad as that DC vs. Seattle NFL play off game. Thank you to all my friends

I am having trouble sleeping and the sound of Dave’s voice fills up the night like nothing else.
I love how you synced the radio broadcast with the tv broadcast.
Whoever put Dave’s voice synched with the game…..thank you!
Light Bat Archive? Thank you! Thank you so much. I cannot possibly tell you how much this means to me. But trust me; it means a lot. Mahalo!

I am an adult man and I am not ashamed to say that I cried when I heard Dave call that Edgar Martinez double😭

The Kingdome was so loud. You could hear it through the radio feed.

This is awesome and has made my day. Thank you for posting this.
3:22:12 of all of his calls, this is by far Dave Niehaus' greatest
My fave memories living out there in the 90’s were the Mariners and Newhouse on the radio.
I’m working on a Frasier fanfic based on this game right now!
You just made my day with this, sir (or ma'am).
2:31:36 for Randy Johnston’s walkout!
Game starts at 2:31:34
I'd say 2:07:48

You're doing the gods' work.
