- This week we wanted to answer some of your comments and explain why we can't always meet your requests for videos. We hope you understand and keep watching as we still have lots to share with you.
We also introduce you to the brand of Lanvin and the classic fragrance Arpege.

Just found your channel. I found Arpege in the early 70's - yeah I'm old, well in years only. I absolutely love Arpege perfume - long story short, but I was sent a large 2oz bottle of perfume from Lanvin as a replacement when the neck of the, much smaller, bottle was broken, it was one of the square bottles with a thin neck they had at that time. When I received it I thought I'd died and gone to heaven and I have been there ever since. In the eighties, nineties (?) Arpege became difficult to find (in Canada) especially when it was bought out by L'Oreal (?), but I have followed it wistfully through the years. I have a small collection of Arpege perfume bottles, boxes and advertising memorabilia I have bought over the years from other collectors and some of the bottles still have perfume in them from the 'olden days'. I never thought it would be possible to find it again. In Canada, it is not always PC to wear perfume, so many have allergies, however, I am prepared to make an exception and indulge myself once again. Thank you for your video!

Arpege was the first perfume I ever smelled; I was four years old. My mom had a bottle on her dresser and I thought it was just magical! Decades later, I have an addiction to perfume. Love your channel and I enjoy your discussions.

It was the same for me - my mom was in the Canadian Air Force stationed in France during the 50’s and she bought her first bottle of Arpege when she visited Paris. Still remember her bottle on her dresser - square bottle with a square black top with the Lanvin emblem on it.
Arpege was one of the beautiful bottles of perfume on my mom's vanity along with Coty's Emeraude, Corday's Fame, and Estee Lauder's Youth Dew..I myself wear all of these today. The classics are masterpieces. Thanks for your video ♥️
Is not long I started using Lanvin Arpege, and I can tell you is incredible quality perfume and good value for money. Is pretty amazing perfume. Thanks girls!!

Well, first of all you two are so lovely, I am truly glad to see you are having such a good feedback! And when it comes to Arpège, I love it so much! I could literally cry when I smell it. Obviously it didn't appeal to me at first, as it's so different from what we have today but it grew on me and I really got to love it. Boy, I miss my bottle, need a new one ASAP hehe. Also love Joy like I told you a few days ago, and N° 5, and Shalimar and all those beautiful classics.

I love Lanvin! They have the best Frangrances. Beautiful and so comforting ❤️ their bottles always have a meaning behind them. My new favourite is the modern princess one
Wonderful!! I love all the classics. My young friends and my granddaughter love the newer launches like La Vie Es Belle, and the Juicy line. My husband likes more robust scents like Fracas and Fancy Nights by Jessica Simpson. Which is surprisingly good. That's what I wear often. I don't often empty a bottle, but I did finish a 100 ml of Fancy Nights!! I have a large collection of fragrances so I'm delighted to find you!
+Loretta Bridges we're glad you found us too! Interesting to hear about the Jessica Simpson fragrance as I don't think we can get that in the UK but fracas is a classic. Sometimes you can surprise yourself with the things you find you like. Sarah wouldn't list herself as 'young' (lol) but loves the original Juicy Couture fragrance!
I bought Arpege because I am a fan of old fragrances. This scence is really gwon up and I like it but I think it is not something I can wear as my day time fragrance. It is more like I could wear it on a funeral :), it fits to this kind of serious ocasions. But...
It reminds me my grandother because of the flowers she loved and I loved her. I was really moved when I smelled it for the first time. I like to spray it when I am sad... I know... It is like gothic garden in the evening.

Arpege is gorgeous I wish all perfume designers would do refillable bottles as this perfume is such a long lasting classic always chic.

My favorite things that you do is the notes videos. I live far from any city and don't get the chance to sniff many of these perfumes that you describe beautifully. I love hereinafter how they make you feel and the kind of person wearing them , even the history and perfumers history. I ordered agent provocateur because of how you described it!

Hi ladies! Perfume is my absolute favourite thing so I LOVE your videos!
1. Can you do videos based on notes like fruity, gourmand (honey, chocolate,vanilla), leathery, chypre fragrances etc. Basically the top notes and middle notes of perfumes.
2. Then also explore perfume base notes like patchouli, musk, sandalwood, amber etc because of the dry-down which is just as important.
3. You can also explore unusual notes in perfume like how Olympea has a salt note which I think adds an interesting bite to the sweet perfume.

My favorite fragrance (Boyfriend by Kate Walsh) has been discontinued. How do I go about finding a similar one that suits me?
+eve123w8 hi! Honestly we hadn't heard of that fragrance as I don't think it's available in the uk. If you've had a scent that you liked that's now not available then a good place to look for info is www.fragrantica.com they have everything listed there and you can see what the key notes in it were and then look for something similar. It tells us that it was a dark and sexy fragrance with myrhh, plum and jasmine (sounds amazing!) Maybe give narciso rodriguez for her a try or Tom Ford Black Orchid and when you go in the store ask the sales assistant for something with those notes. Hope that helps, let us know how you get on
Thanks for answering! It was amazing! I tried the Narcisco Rodriguez for her but it was too powdery. I'll check out the Black Orchid next. The people in Sephora suggested Shalimar (edp) which I purchased and like but it is similar but much heavier. I'll let you know how I do with the Tom Ford fragrance. Again I appreciate your help! great video as usual! yessss i tried it its bottle was purple and i think it looked like a man bending down on his knees and proposing... it was a winter fragrance im not sure if its the exact one u sprayed or a bit lighter....@theperfumepros
+nadia montasser that sounds like eclat d'arpege which is in a light purple bottle but the same shape as Arpege. As Sarah mentioned at the end of the video she is a fan of that one, it has sparkling lemon and peach and then lovely gentle notes of green tea and white musk
Can you do Oxygene by Lanvin please. I know its old but im intrigued. Cheers.x
We actually think Oxygene is now discontinued. It was made in 2000 by perfumer Alberto Morillas and is based around woods, iris and musk noted. Why not try Bulgari’s Eau Parfumee Au The Blanc for something similar or try Van Cleef’s Bois d’Iris.

+The Perfume Pros I love La Vie Est Belle... it's one of my all time favourite! I used to lovef extremely sweet fragrances when I was younger... it's always the sweeter, the better... the 2 yrs back that started to change... I still enjoy some sweet fragrances but not the extreme ones! To me, La vie est belle is sweet yet it's not a teenager highschool kind of sweet... it makes me feel sophisticated and smells expensive as well!

I love classic aldehyde florals, was so excited to obtain a bottle of Arpege and was shocked to find its a completely vile scent that made me nauseous. Perhaps this bottle has gone off? Well anyway be careful to try this scent before purchase, blind buying is always a risk.

+frederico neves thank you we're glad you're enjoying our videos. Interesting you ask about that fragrance as it never actually launched in the UK so we haven't had a chance to smell it yet. Have you tried it? What do you think? We'd be really interested to hear more about it
i've been using it since it came out last year.. people reactions are very good (better than any other fragrance i've had), and although it's a fresh scent, it does have some sweetness and cosiness.. i find it quite unique among other fresh fragrances.. performance is very good with warm weather and warm skin (it gets noticed and gathers compliments several hours after application) and i think it can be a signature scent if you work in a controlled environment room.. it sure has been for me.. i hope you get the chance to try it..

I love this so called Old Lady fragrance ARPEGE as much as I love 540
I regret blind buying. I detect a fecal note in this fragrance. A scrubber for me. Jeanne was an amazing woman but I don't like the scent of Arpege. Very fecal. Probably the Jasmine. Sorry if I offend anyone but fecal notes have long been talked about.
