Vintage perfumes are the best. They are forgotten gems.
My mother had Arpege and Chanel No. 5. I remember the Chanel, but not Arpege. Oh, she had My Sin by Lanvin too!

I love Arpege! I prefer it to Chanel No5 very aldehyde forward but so lush. 💛
Growing up there were five perfume bottles on top of my mom’s vanity, Arpege and My Sin from Lanvin, Chanel No. 5 and Guerlain’s Shalimar. I loved the look of the Lanvin bottles but I don’t remember how they smelled but I loooved Shalimar so much that whenever my mom would wear it, she would put a little bit behind my ears. I wish I had a place where I could buy some of those vintage perfumes. I remember that my mom would always buy, when available, the extract versions of the perfumes she liked, which of course, would make for a stronger perfume. Thanks for the video as it brought all these memories from my childhood.

Arpege is such a strong , nostalgic scent . Reminds me of my grandma . I like it . I like the new bottle black with gold and the emblem . You are lucky to find perfumes at the thrift store.
Nice find. I have 2 bottles of the recent black bottle, a vintage clear glass cylindrical bottle & a parfum in a small gold splash vial all with the Lanvin logo on them. I'd not seen your bottle before. It's not a modern scent but it's not too old fashioned either. Has more oomph than No.5 too.

I loooove Arpège! I must have a vintage version in my collection soon! 😍
I wore it in the 1970s as a teen and have the latest formulation - which is still nice but not as strong.
La maison Lavain has as symbol mother and child , Madame Lavain loved so much her dauther and all the brand of Maison Lavain is represented by her with her dauther .even in present all products Lavain have same inscription❤️⚘️⚘️⚘️

Vintage Arpege is one of my all time favourite scents. I do not like the reformulation. Are there any know dupes for the OG Arpege?

My mom used to wear that perfume I remember that bottle the one that was in the picture on your phone I remember that bottle very well it was so pretty on her dressing table she used it only for dress-up occasions or holidays. I think if I smelled it now I might cry.
