A little perfume review about Arpege by Lanvin launched in 1927 for the first time. It quickly became an iconic French perfume worn by many women around the world. This perfume is an aldehyde perfume with a floral, warm, and oriental direction. It has a boudoir scent, with a creamy and buttery aldehyde, and an hint of golden vanilla. I think this is a perfect summer night perfume,

Yes I love this perfume too. such underrated perfume compare to Chanel 5 and quelques fleurs houbigant but it is probably more niche

Thank you Brandon 😍 yes I love this one too but there is a big difference between the old and new version. The new version is heavier on citrus and fresh notes…. The old version is more resinous, warmer also
@@Aliceinparisofficial I know Eclat D’Arpege is heavy on the citrus. But the current Arpege is still a white floral bouquet to me

OMG ;) I could not wait. Thank you so much for this review. I love this one because it reminds me about my Grandmother (she loved lily of the valley and I smel it extremely in this fragrance).
I love to wear it on my skin. It is super cosy. I do not mind it is rich and vintage (it is a big plus to me).
Funny thing I am not a fan of peach and I like it here 🤔.
Hello the peach is very sweet on the opening compare to other perfume (especially 80s or 90s perfumes) were it’s juicy and super aromatic. In this one it’s even a sugary peach 🍑 blend very well with a warm floral composition. I do not detect the Lily of the valley that much but more on the new version…

Arpege is a masterpiece, as all the early Lanvin creations.
I like the smokey aspect of it, and the composition is so harmonious and comforting.
The bottle in your review is the 90's reformulation, which is very good, it's sweeter and
more intoxicating and strong than the original.
The current one is nice too, but it's too strong on the aldehides and more synthetic. I find the current reformulation closer to Chanel n.5 than to the original Arpege.
If you can find an extrait from the 80's or older in the rectangular bottle it's the best version.
I also recommend you to try My sin which was the first Lanvin perfume from 1924, and the best Lanvin of all times in my opinion which is Scandal from 1933. These last two I mention are very unique and smell like nothing else, but at the same time feel contemporary and timeless!
Hello thank you 🥰 I love the 90s version it’s sweet, intoxicating and very gourmand. 80s are hard to find and very expensive. I also had a look on the others ones you mentioned and they are super rare. Very few bottles are left but would love to try this collection. Lanvin perfume are very good. I also like Jeanne which is very cute and heavy on the rose

Glad I found your video! I just bought a vintage bottle of arpege as well. It came with a small 15 ml bottle which is apparently the pure perfume. Do you happen to have any information about the pure version of arpege? I don't have a reference point for it. I'm hoping it's real!
Yes there is a pure version of arpège and it comes in a small 15ml rectangular bottle. I did not try it but it probably smells very intense

Bonsoir Alice. Merci beaucoup for another inspiring video. I love Arpége although I only have a reformulation. Must try a vintage one day. Have you tried Dior Dolce Vita? This too is a delicious perfume and so unusual.
Bonjour 👋 Arpège vintage one is brighter, more powdery and ambery. The new reformulation makes it lighter and more fresh on the opening. Just a question of taste but I like the vintage version. I tried Dolce vita by Dior and I also like this perfume. Beautiful summer perfume. I will do a review about this one

Hello the new version has more citrus and fresh notes. It’s very yellow, citrus 🍊 and ambery.
It is one of my favourites, it takes me to past times, reminds me very much of my grandmother

I just got this perfume. It reminds me so much of luxury... i can envision a fashionable woman from 1920s Paris wearing it. Black dresses, gold jewelry, white feather boa/fur... almost like a movie star. And it reminds me so much of my late grandmother.
