This video popped up and I was curious about how our wee country was viewed from an outside perspective. Welcome to Northern Ireland, I'm glad you're happy here. Hope you had a lovely birthday :)
Thanks Nikki
Northern Ireland isn't a country lol.
@@arto9775 Yes, it is a country. UK is a kingdom made up of 4 component countries namely England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

I'd like to give northern Ireland a shot, how do I go about it

Hi dear!! Thank you for the video. I was thinking to move to Ireland, but now i should consider North Ireland too.
You should!
Thanks for this. Very informative. I will like you to talk more of the security, religion (Protestant Vs Catholic) and diversity.
I try not to get involved in religious discussions. I just stick to my naija Pentecostal church here and ignore the rest so I wouldn't know what to say about the protestant vs Catholic issue but so far I have not witnessed any violent activity from either side
This is the best channel for me. Thanks for making this video. It will help guide my decision.

I did my masters IN international human rights law in Queens University Belfast I did my undergrad in political science and Human rights in Canada the best suprise in Northern Ireland was how cheap it was relative to Canada
You are absolutely right

Thanks for the video
What about RN that wants to do her Degree after sometime, is NI advisable?
Are there universities that does such there?
Thank you for this video. I''d like you to talk about this whole protestant vs Catholic stuff. Is it as violent as some you-tubers have shown?
I try not to get involved in religious discussions. I just stick to my naija Pentecostal church here and ignore the rest so I wouldn't know what to say about the protestant vs Catholic issue but so far I have not witnessed any violent activity from either side
No, it's not violent. Don't mind those negative gists on the Internet. Wellcome to Northern Ireland and when you arrive make sure you AVOID discussing the protestant vs catholic issues. People on both sides are sensitive to such discussions and you will quickly get into trouble and make enemies. Nice place, nice people and cheaper than other parts of the UK.
Thanks for your time
You are welcome
Any BAME people know comparatively how things are in NI vs rUK with regards to race - I've lived in England all my life and haven't had any issues at all, I have an opportunity to move to NI and would appreciate some insight if anyone has some to offer.
In Which city do you live? I already liked the video before watching.
Happy birthday dear.
Thank you for the information
Thanks. I live in county Antrim
@@ScholasticaUgboka Hi love, how far is this from Belfast? Do you have any ideas of the pay ph in nhs hospitals in northern Ireland pls for RN?
@@beautiful94x51 About 50 mins by train and 30 mins by car. I believe the pay rate is the same as stated in the NHS pay guide for band 5 nurses irrespective of where you live. It is usually private hospitals and care homes that pay a little higher for expensive cities
@@ScholasticaUgboka oh ok, not too bad. I was thinking of moving to Antrim aswell. Is there another area bit closer to Belfast? I work in England and some hospitals just 30 mins apart from each offer slightly different rates. I was just thinking as cost of living is so much cheaper in northern Ireland that the pay would be less 🤔. My hospital pays a little over £14 ph for day shift bit more for enhancements and bank.
Hi very gd informative videos.would like to see a video on different hsc trust in northen ireland and different hospitals in northen ireland please and thank you

@ScholasticaUgboka.. hi. How is the cost of living now in Northern Ireland especially in Belfast?
things are actually high now because of the current economic crisis but it's still way better than some parts in England. housing is really expensive these days
so northern ireland is only good for saving on housing? if considering overall life balance/access to resources jobs and shopping sounds like a bigger trade off, especially if wanting to send stuff back home or continuing education?
It's not just good for housing, the people here are more friendly, the environment is eco friendly, not over crowded like most cities in England. We also have shops here (not enough african shops though) and we have nice universities here too. If you are an international student, it might be wiser to come to NI for university where living expenses is low so you can work and save more money towards paying off your tuition
Thanks for sharing...

What’s confusing how people refer to uk as a country yet we hear it’s made up of 4 component countries and yet uk has its own flag as well as every other country it is said to be composed of

Good day. I love the video. But I understand Northern Ireland isn't just one place it has cities. So what city are you living in, that allowed you pay such low rent? Because honestly it's really nice. So that one can also be put it into consideration when looking for jobs. But if it's a general advantage I love the place (Northern Ireland) already.
Rent is generally low in Northern Ireland. I live in County Antrim

Hi ! Finding it very difficult to get an accommodation at belfast or surrounding. I am going to study at Ulster. Could you suggest anything regarding this? How to find accommodation? Any agencies?
Best wishes.
Are you looking for student accommodation, shared accommodation or a private accommodation? I think student and shared accommodation are easy to come by expecially around Belfast. Getting private accommodation as a student might be a bit difficult but not impossible. Check property pal website for houses, you can also check house letting agencies around your vicinity for vacancies too. It might be difficult to find them online so just walk around your area and if you find any agency, go into the building and tell them what type of accommodation you are looking for. In my experience this way is usually faster and you are more likely to find a place close to where you school or work.
Happy birthday namesake, thanks for the info.
