Love this scene, Bruce was awesome, what a man, what a fighter, overcame racism, and this scene is just great, he demolished those bullies and humbled them in the process
This movie was never meant to be an accurate or realistic biopic; it was, according to the director, "What if Bruce Lee's life had been like a Bruce Lee movie?" Factoring in Jason Scott Lee's terrific performance, it achieves that goal perfectly: It's entertaining, inspiring, and moving with an equally memorable soundtrack, and is one of those flicks where, if I'm scrolling through the channels and it's on, I can always stop and watch it for a bit. However, while almost the whole thing is historically inaccurate and intentionally so, the fights seem loosely based on real ones. This gym beef, for example, might come from an incident at UW where Bruce reportedly attended a frat or dorm party with a Chinese gal and was approached by three or four footballers who started racially harassing them. Bad idea. In a few seconds, the dudes were laid out and the couple went looking for something else to do. Just another college night for the Little Dragon, lol.
Lies!! It was according to his wife's knowledge and perspectives in what she lived, experienced, seen, and heard with liberties taken to make the movie more exciting. Like to the underground fight hurting his back. The injury was of his own doing while training with free weights. But the fight was really with Jack Man.

This isn’t necessarily in accurate. I read a bio written about Bruce Lee as well as his family after his death, and it stated that in his youth, he would often get told off by his parents because he was constantly getting into fights in school and in his families culture public image means a lot.
Officially the University of Washington, but as an alumni I can say for certain that it wasn't filmed on the Seattle campus where Bruce Lee was actually enrolled.
24 years ago, I used to beat two second degree black belts in a handicap match when I was circuit training 20 hours per week. Then about a year later, my older cousin, Delvin (Now deceased,) proved to me that I could not even hurt him and that he could beat me effortlessly. He was about a 275lbs natural heavyweight and I was about 185lbs at the time. Within about 5 seconds, he had me in a bear hug and literally bit me on the shoulder just to prove he could do anything he wanted to me. Size matters. Doesn't matter that I used to beat a 235lbs ex-marine in fighting either, at some point size matters, and a 120lbs man couldn't beat the average American football player in a fight even if they otherwise had no fighting skills.
don’t use yourself as an example when describing bruce lee, dude what? imagine me going “yeah a woman beat me in basketball so that means women and men shouldnt have different sports leagues”
@@kartipee You're missing the point. This fight never happened in the real world. Bruce Lee was a Charlatan and his cult of followers likes to exaggerate his importance.
In martial arts movies and in WWE "pro wrestling" they portray big guys as "clumsy fools," but in the real world, big guys are not clumsy fools. They are pro athletes who have just as good of body mechanics as the little guy, and they are 5 times stronger than the little guy.
@@Artietnam Jason Skott Lee is of ZERO relation to Bruce Lee. You are thinking of Bruce’s only son Brandon Lee, who was offered the role of playing his father in this film, but he famously turned it down because he said as flattered as he was it didn’t feel right at all. And as much as he absolutely loved his dad, he and his father are two different people. Plus he didn’t want to pretend that he was kissing his mother. Too weird.

The fight is awesome, but I love how Bruce tells the guy who started it all that he's sorry about his dad, and that he's American, not Korean.
I love that part too
Not gonna lie, I would have said "and now it was your turn"
"Sorry about your father, that was Koreans, I'm American." LOVE IT!! 🇺🇸

Black dude running with the wrong crowd there 😂
😂😂😂😂 always!
Exactly 😂😂
Yep tell me about it 💯
Just like in the high school movies lol
He doesn’t want to be apart of the bs lol
I mean...I haven't seen fight choreography this good since Benny Hill and Keystone Cops videos.
I’ll touch you back is crazy😂😂❤
Always loved how he apologizes cuz to me it sounds like he’s not blaming him for his hate/racism
That last line was cold as ice
I'm an American.

The apology at the end was a nice twist.
Bruce Lee the legend
Legend is the correct word. Legend is a fictional story.
Can only get one liners that 🥶 from the 80s and 90s
Like you would scream arghhhhh when running to tackle someone 😂😂
He did a great job I love him doing this one
He did a terrible job. Bruce Lee never acted like that or fought that way or talked like that, ridiculous.

Those Bullys are supossed to be young College Students in their early 20s. They look like 40
40 is a stretch. 35 at the most
He used three judo moves in this one fight... ;)
nice video sency lee
Lol, a complementary workout and lesson in history.
Respect
I don’t understand that white guy’s overconfidence that he can beat a guy who is obviously way more ripped than he is.
thats because the whiteboy have 4 of his friends as backups, thats exactly what a whiteboy and black guy will do.
Smaller brain. It isn't so hard to figure it out.
Bruce Lee would still made good movies if he was still here
So would his son Brandon. God rest their souls 😢
Highly unlikely because he'd be in his eighties now.

The real Bruce Lee is 1/4 European his mom is half European, I believe Dutch.
