The solo piano song thing you hear in the black/white clips was made by the Legendary Prod. Karamaat
P.S. We suck at acting.
Much love, hope we can kiss soon wait what the
"Check out this beat I made."
Plays chord progression.
Literally everyone in the studio-workshop at my School lmao
Check out this chord progression I made doesn’t sound right
FrogBich I think it does
Every major artist today
thats how lo-fi be
He really is a good drummer though, his chops are insane
69th like
Bro where tf did this guy come from 😂 you need to start dropping hip hop tracks
Doesn't mean anything if he doesn't play the song tho...
But yes, Zach's chops are insane
@@AMTunLimited but i think it fit very well actually
I wish my chops were like that on my mapex tornado 😂
1:26 there you go, repeat button
Thank You.
Someone should make an extended version of this beat
I think you meant 2:17
1:45 that groove... omg - Also, both of these guys are god level musicians. Much respect
I'm a drummer myself and hate it when drummers overplay everything.
Lars Ulrich
EL ESTEPARIO ? xd
Lars ulrich x2
@Outrageous Accent! dont u fuckin dare hold out on us right meow!!!
@Outrageous Accent! nah.. id agree with that with some of his performances..
Yeah but now he's given you enough to chop and sample for that real J Dilla sound.
boss sp303 time
@@EpicStuffMan1000 I could have sworn j used a MPC. just look around there
@@AMTunLimited he used BOTH
You said the Donut word. ow my heart
As a metal head slowly getting into jazz can someone please educate me on this dilla beat stuff coz it’s fucking nasty Ik joe to play it but I wanna find more shit that has it on
0:38 That piece deserves to be a complete song.
Frrr so uplifting
Would've been even funnier if you threw the drummer out the house at the end (similar to the style of the Fresh Prince when Jazz gets thrown out by Uncle Phil). 😂
I watched that episode that episode like yesterday🤣
_casually defies physics_
Aahhhh!!
an then when jazz just goes "aah"
LMAO piano guy got his money's worth. Loop the earlier stuff, cut the chops in for fills
You.... Might have a point there
Of course, first thing an at least half brained musician should do.
In fact, this single take could spring drums for a hundred songs in the style of the keys guy.
Or replace the comma with a period right after the word stuff.
Not knocking his chops at all.
@@TheRingo2u imagine being a grammar nazi who doesn’t actually know proper grammar 😂
That beat at 02:00 he is playing with the "late bassdrum" ist fucking insane. Unbelievable
yeah that shits hard
I agree that went nuts.🤙🏽🤙🏽
Crisp as fuk.
Yeah the feel is sooooo nice
What genre would you call this music?
I can't be the only one who thought that at least some of the fills during his second run were pretty amazing and would actually improve the song.
thought the same
1:07 "Think of J. Dilla"
You earned a sub after knowing the legend of Jay Dee🔥
That drag feel makes it oompf.
Dude do you know any artist or song that does a lot of this drag stuff?
Gordon Christopher Tubo
Some people call it drag but it’s more suitably known as a dilla swing. It’s not just sloppily dragging the beat, but rather playing quintuplets or septuplets, or other similar variations.
Heaps of people do this, try Jacob Collier or Nubian Twist
@@petercampion9028 Yessir. Quintuplet swing.
@@gordonchristophertubo3164 Machinedrum. The guy is an OG
Yep!
“We want you to play soft”
_You want me to play faster?!_
Exact opposite happens to me.
"Was that volume good?"
"Nah, all you did was cut the time signature in half. A for effort though."
and that's why I play in metal bands
I wish I was good enough to have this problem...
Dude, is there a full version of this song? I need this in my life. The chord progression is beautiful, genius. And that late bass drum hit is perfection. I listen to literally just Metal, but I absolutely love this.
Is there such genre out there that's exactly like this? Like a lo-fi type vibe with aggressive jazzy drumming? Or artists for that matter? I think I like this type of stuff.
At that point it's just jazz fusion man. But let me name you an artist/song. Check this one out: Ralph Towner - Sand. Also check out Ralph Towner - Piscean Dance
Nu jazz
check out hedron by BADBADNOTGOOD
All of the old stuff (mix tapes) from BadBadNotGood sounds exactly like this.
Yussef Kamaal got some insane riffs, Yussef Dayes too, hear "Yussef Dayes X Alfa Mist - Love Is The Message"
That melody and drumming chops will always remind me how Thomas Pridgen would play lmao
Pridgen kinda ruined my good time at the Thundercat show in 2018 bc of constant overplaying
Lotus & the Jondy lol
Omar's fault tbh he told pridgen to play like that in da volta
Aditya Nair Fr rho 😂
@@adityakuttus which was so sick
Bro the consistency at which you fell perfectly behind the beat was nearly perfect. Killer. 🤘
0:48 we need a full version of this one
I demand a full cover of this track! The people needs it
agreed
indeed
Yes please!
Hell yeah
Fr please i want thisss
Finding this channel has been the sole good thing that's happened to me in 2020
Fr
We need that instrumental though🔥🔥🔥🔥
00:47 that shit sounds like the post-race music in Mario Kart 64
Playing drums with a fender shirt 😔
*Stratocaster* love
Dude, im a drummer from Singapore and all I wanna say is that I hope that your channel will hit a million subscribers soon as ur content is f****** amazing haha, cheers bro!
"Think of J Dilla" Is the best quote I've heard all year.
That floor tom beat you shifted into @ 0:51 was 🔥🔥 though
He's all fun and games but damn those chops are fire
@1:56 He's like 'Gotcha! You thought I was gonna overdo it!' And then he backs off for half a measure, then overplays it. Love it.
yes, thatsthejoke.jpg
@@findus8269 lmao
I always come back to this video at least 2x a week just because I crack up every time and as a bassist (and a diehard drum lover), your chops are inspiring asf zack 💕
Dude the whole thing is good, even the end, i love this sort of drumming, simple piano sample, a synth backing, some decent bass and a full drum track
2:40 BEST PART
All Zack's videos:
Title: LoOk ThIs FuNnY dRuM FaiL!
Actual content: Shows Zack drumming like a badass.
Brother you are a Joy to watch...bro you are an actor ..and an awsome drummer
I busted out laughing before the first minute. You have a fantastic way to teach overplaying, and what I always need to remind myself when playing. If you practice too much on your own, you can get this way really fast. Nice drumming, and keys. Love your talent.
that snare pops dude uff
My brain can't even process some of the sounds I'm hearing lol
😂👏🏼 this is great man. Way to make a valid point that drummers need to hear in a hilarious skit. I literally remember making those mistakes as a young drummer when I started gigging. There’s a time for chops but that’s usually in the practice room or with other drummers!
Am i the only one who keeps playing this video, Looping this insane beat?🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lloyd Tshauke yo I cannot get enough lol
CptShunsui do you know what it’s called?
His excessive drumming kinda sounds like Yussef Dayes especially with those chords
I was literally thinking, what is this.. Yussef Kumaal?
We need this song on spotify. Gotta be an awesome lofi song with drum that build up over time.
The track is insane
"Brushes? How old are you?" Killed me XD
I thought the drums added character though lol
He ain’t lyin’! Asking some drummers to “serve the song” is like asking them to fly like Superman.
Dude, your snare sounds so good!! 🔥🔥🔥
Almost reminds me of a dry version of the snare from I fall apart by post mahlone
Good point, great playing!!!
You're so close to 30K, congratulations man! 🥳
You are gonna be so big in a while, man :)
hes already pretty huge have you seen those arms
That's what she said
@@alfred618 thats what i said bro
Lightning McQueen Gaming I meant on UA-cam but that as well lmao
Love how well the point was conveyed, while at the same time, I KNOW this guy can chop. This is the first video I’ve seen of him, but as soon as he put that dirt on the beat with the glitchy hi- hat and kick 1:40, it was clear. Awesome video
This needs to be a song ASAP. Even just 5 mins of that loop with those sweet drums behind it!
This is bloody brilliant!! Man, wish I could play like you!
When you have band practice but you got a substitute teacher
We need more great drummers like you
Why is everyone ignoring the fact that his songs are insane
As a composer, I can easily say the drummers that get in on everyone's good lists are the ones that perform how you tell them to perform. It's a job. Be a professional.
That beat at the start with piano and stuff kinda hits different for me
Pure love dude
Your a straight beast and the way you take your time to make these videos are amazing my g keep it up
it's 2021 can we get the full song now
🔥🔥🔥
Bro those beats with that melody in the back was so good 💙
Haha I love that jilted timing, though! It's so good.
Got this in my recommended right as I woke up, but man, 0:47 REALLY woke me up
Aphex Twin vibes m8
yeah reminds me of boy/girl song
Damn I was also thinkin along to that groove about what would I play and well....i know this is obvious but you came up with a way way wayyyyy better groove than I did. I didn't comment to state the obvious but just to say I wish I had imagination like yours.
I really have a long long way to go......
It isnt an easy journey, but if it were easy, then anyone would do it :) that's what's fun about it
I've seen this so many times. Always so good
You litrally have the best sounding drums and cymbals. I've never heard anything so crisp and tuned
EMC productions zak grooves collab???? Day one of petition
I agree he's to memey and his contents for immature people and 7 year olds same with davie504. I'm talking a bout a drum collab though
@Nick does Quad drumming I agree with you, the money from UA-cam and when most channels grow they forget there roots and what made people like them in the first place I hope Zack stays the same but creative.
Nick does Quad drumming yeah I gotta agree lol. It’s like his videos are for kids now
Now imagine going to school with EMC, like I did back in jersey lol. It was jokes upon jokes always! Funny dude. Talented as hell. Fast as the furious!
Stephen Fleming right, there’s no denying that he’s a funny and cool guy
Moral of the story: music producers have bad taste.
Lol
But the songs not a drum solo
Michael_s000 ok music producer
ok cool but sometimes it takes away from the effect of the song
Sam Godzwa literally all modern music you listen to has been produced what are you even trying to say,
I need all the chilled out tracks to have this level of energy.
Yo I wanna hear a full version of this one, that piano and those drums are epic!
Here I am waiting for this dudes channel to get to hundred thousand subs, cause he is just so good at drumming and the content too
0:48 I wouldn’t mind listening to a song like that😂😂
That is actually our drummer on point - the only one who can play those really breathtaking passages, but he plays those breathtaking passages only XD
Love catching a great channel right before it blows up
As a drummer myself, I still felt like I was in the pocket!
1:47 He hits himself in on the head 🤣
Yooo dude that was legit so groovy when he was playing seriously
@saxologic your face doe lmao, bro your brotha is throwing down! Sounding slick dude!
Can you make this into a full track I would really like to hear it
To be honest that still sounds good, if you're going for Squarepusher!
Nice, I was thinking the same!
YO! Just found your channel today, instant fan. You rock bro👊🏾🔥
Thanks, guys! I needed that👌! You guys just made my day!😎👍
Who else thinks that he should put this on Spotify??
Yo can I ask what u put on that snare cuz it sounds 🔥
This tune is amazing, gorgeous chord progression
That snare sounds amazing
Who ever disliked this video will never get called back
Can someone please tell me which are the chords he plays in the piano?
Im really a big fan thanks to you ive been practicing my drums everydsy non stop
I keep coming back to listen to this as a song
Hey man, if they're gonna ask you to play over a track where you're the only dynamic part, what do they expect?
Also 1:52 was freaking sick, so boom.
I’m a drummer my self and if someone says that I shouldn’t put blast beats in a chill song,
They’re gonna have a bad time
Just give them what they want.
Where is the problem?
Last time I did this at a festival with a DJ, ot cost him 175.00 I didn't move a thing, btw. Cash.
I hate EDM, so it cost him. Lol.
This is my new favorite drum channel. Hilarious bro, keep it up
Great work!
how small is the space they are recording in? looks like a closet's closet
BRO, WHO KNOWS THE RUDIMENTS FOR THE CROSSOVER FILL THAT STARTED AT 2:43
Love the snare sound.
This beat is so amazing. Total Vibe.
