No, this is not a bot you fucking morons. Its him playing with tool assists. Meaning he can slow the game down, advance frame by frame to get frame perfect inputs, and use savestates if he messed something up.

It's such a good feeling when you think of a childhood game, decide to look up clips of it to see if it was really as good as you remember, and it really is that good. Out of all the snow/skateboarding games ever put to console it's S-tier no doubt.

My brother died of an overdose last year and this was our favorite game that we played together on our GameCube when we were kids. This brought me to tears of happiness cause of the good memories. My brother mained Mac, I think because he reminded my brother of Eminem.

This game was in the Clearance games bin in Walmart when I was a kid in the early 2000’s. My parents were struggling financially so my mom let me choose a game just from the clearance bin for my bday. I got SSX Tricky. Played it on my ps2 for hours on end…. Fast forward to 2025, and this is my kids’ favourite game to play. The game is so good that the next generation still enjoys it. ❤

Read Mitch Korson's thoughts, remembered how hard doing any of those tricks was, and how difficult it would have been to do them reliably enough to input the commands into a tool.

I’m a Korean and about 10 years ago arcade version of this game was at the stationary store in front of my elementary school.
I played this game every day and I had to mash the buttons to know how to perform the moves LOL and highest score I could get in that map was around 1m~1.5m

It's pretty obvious why this game was loved. Listen to the announcer. Listen to mac commenting on your performance. The musical score is nice and the game play is simple. Basically, make simple repeatable gameplay with personality and your customers will be happy.

SSX Tricky has to have one of the best character selection
SSX racing should be a real sport. Take standard snowboard racing and add:
1.Tricks done reduce your race time (best race time wins)
2.You are allowed to go off track/jump over corners
3.You are allowed to push other riders (no no touching the head / open palm pushes only / no grabbing)
Yeah it's a shame this pushes the physical boundaries of humans though.

Red Bull TV has a sport/competition where you bike down a mountain, and the tricks you do are seen by judges. The most points wins.

Score is crazy, but when I had this game this is the stuff I'd do without tas. I wouldn't get that high of a score, there's always one or two wipeouts. But ugh. Thank you. Thank you for a good video and making me miss this game so much.
Outstanding! This is my favorite freestyle course. I came close to 2,000,000 once but never practiced it. I bet this took at least a year of planning and practicing the course let alone the time spent learning the basics
