Your analysis of the propeller was spot on. A spinning propeller would show a telltale S-shape deformation along with damage to the leading edge of the blades post-impact. The one shown in the game was simply bent backwards suggesting that it wasn’t spinning at the time of impact.

As a former aircraft mechanic. "If I say this plane is not flying, it will not fly. Either you use a different plane or we'll wait for that fucking aileron bolt!"
I don't know much about planes, but I don't think losing an aileron would cause you to lose control of the aircraft. It anything it would limit your ability to roll, and you might naturally roll in the direction of the lost aileron. For this case though, the pilot was under the influence of alcohol, so he was flying low and slow. Maybe the aileron popped off because he was constantly trying to keep the plane level. When it did, the pilot must have panicked and crashed the plane.
not a legal expert but it is kind of sketchy an air plane crash investigator is just calling witnesses or persons of interest on their phone. not that it means that evidence would be inadmissible or that it is, but i am by no means enough of a legal expert to make that call. i guess its a limitation of the game but i guess it'd be more realistic if you would call like the interrogators or whatever police and then the police give you some full report.
I'm not sure about other countries but in the US the NTSB has legal authority to interview witnesses related to plane crashes. They would most likely be with local PD you are right about that but they themselves doing the talking is perfectly reasonable.
