Thanks for the video. I recently purchased my first J Frame. A model 36 unfired box papers tools 1969/1970. How were you able to tell the year of production without a letter. Please advise. Thanks!
You won`t find the S&W serial numbers online. At least not legally. They are copyrighted in the Standard Catalog Of S&W. If you give me the serial number I can look it up for you.
I still consider the 3" model 37 to be one of the BEST Sportsman and camp revolver "Kit guns" ever produced. Especially if one is lucky enough to own one with the rare fully adjustable sights option. I even carry a Model 317 3" adjustable sight .22 Long Rifle Kit Gun as my go to .22 and would like to see S&W produce the same gun as a five inch 22 Magnum revolver.
I have the vintage 3" Model 36 which I bought 32 years ago and is still my home defense gun. It's a little heavier than the Model 37-3" but will also be a good trail gun for a solo hiker or camper.
I own the 637-2.air weight. 38. +P. I been carrying it here recently. My EDC changes with the weather. Warmer months. 380. Colder weather. Any where from. 38.9.mm. 45. 357.
I really enjoy the smaller sized 5 shot Smith & Wessons. You have a very nice collection! Thanks for another great video.
Thanks
I inherited a nickel Model 36 from Grandpappy. Fun, snappy little pistol.
They are good guns.
That is an awesome collection. I have my dad's CPD Chiefs Special from 1954. And i have a Model 37 in nickel. Mine are 2 inch round butt.

An old gunsmith I know always had a 36 in his pocket !
Very popular carry gun.
Nice Smith's 🇺🇸

An M37 is nickel-snubby, which is the best for me!
