  • I went with little expectations and it has more to do with our relationship with franchise films that endlessly go on but #johnwick4 was such a wild ride! #keanureeves is in such fine form in this absolutely crazy action film. The movie also stars #billskarsgard #donnieyen #laurencefishburne and several others! What can #bollywood or indian cinema learn from such treatment in the action genre? I hope you like the John Wick Chapter 4 Movie Review & Analysis

Or maybe beacause he was a professional stuntman in many movies himself including matrix, he knew how to make a good action movie that as they say the stunts even take the spotlight compared to cgi (also he gather team matrix stuntmen for this movie).
Fun fact: Stahelski was the stuntman of Brandon Lee (Bruce Lee's son) in his last movie the crow as nd was supposed to shoot the scene in which Brandon got shot but they changed their mind and Brandon Lee did the stunts himself at the scene and unfortunately he got shot accidentally and died. If Stahelski played that part there was no John Wick franchise probably too!

Love how it all started with a stuntman making a small action film about an assassin avenging a puppy, slowly emerging into a world of people like him and even more powerful. A new type of underworld. This series has come a long way and its kind of emotional ❤️.

You're right about the video game feel, that's exactly what I felt during the nunchuk scene like I was playing an epic action videogame on the biggest screen lol. The imagery was so beautiful that it keeps your eyes to the screen, the lighting and angles, just wow. Each scene is better than the previous and we keep wondering how much more crazy the next set piece is gonna be. When I saw the exploding bullets I knew it would be batshit insane and it turned out even better than imagined, the cars, the suits, the dogs, the guns and Keanu reeves are the reason we watch the film and they know it very well.

They have been trying to milk every single penny out of Marvel and Star Wars for a couple of years. Their stories are generic, follow the same formula over and over again, and also the pointless live action remakes of classic Disney animated films, and God knows how many of them are in the pipeline now. Moreover, Hollywood is more focused on pushing a certain political agenda than telling a good story with interesting characters, barring a few filmmakers and IPs.

The 2 hr 45 minutes went by so soon, it's shocking that a franchise in its 4th installment manages to be raise the stakes, elevate the action set pieces above everything that came before it and still end on a satisfying note. Only it would have shown John wrath more. But overall I still loved the film.
