    Thanks for the video, trying to do it myself to save some money so I’m about to go try it out now and will let you know how it turns out.

      good deal man. its not that hard, will take some time tho. those parts are kinda heavy, be careful

      @@curtisnstacey did you have a hard time trying to get the housing back around the radiator. I can’t get those 2 side walls that hold the cross members back together

    • @curtisnstacey
      @curtisnstacey  2 місяці тому

      @@Jaquez334 no it went back together pretty easy. some of the nuts broke off where they were mounted, i had to tack them back on. as far as the wall everything went back together easily. make sure you have everything turned the right way and make sure the radiator is an exact replica of the old one.

    Very good video. One question though, did you say you used an engine hoist or another kind of lifting device? Thanks for all of the great information and taking the time to do the video,

    • @curtisnstacey
      @curtisnstacey  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes a engine hoist. I put it on the back of my small trailer and backed up to the truck and lifted it out

    Hi Sir msging from Australia ive got a 2007 freightline argosy with a c-15 in it I need to do my radiator as well is the same principle do u think?

    • @curtisnstacey
      @curtisnstacey  2 роки тому

      I’m not familiar with those engines. Look under your hood and look at my set up. If it looks the same or close you’ll probably be ok.

    Have you had any problems with ugly fix? I just ordered one. Is there a update on your freightliner and new turbo ?

    • @curtisnstacey
      @curtisnstacey  Рік тому

      im still running the ugly fix and also im still running that cheap chinese turbo off ebay. been running that cheap turbo for going on 4 years now. still pumping

      @@curtisnstacey good to know does the fix make your truck louder like a non egr truck ? Also did you notice any gains like mpg or power

    • @curtisnstacey
      @curtisnstacey  Рік тому +1

      @@richforeverguapo8890 no i didnt make it louder. all it does it close the egr valve. i noticed a little bit of power gain but i dont know much about the mpg. my turbo kept what you would call sneezing kinda. power but fluctuate back and forth. the ugly fix made my turbo run like normal. i've heard of people saying it dont work. in my case it worked and been working for years. i havent unplugged since the first time i plugged it in.

      @@richforeverguapo8890 hey, man to be honest i dont even have a gauge for that. i just done all that stuff and ran it. i should be slapped for not having it i know, but it is what it is. if your getting low boost and your air to air and all your boots are sealed your probably have a vpod problem. the vpod is still in affect with the ugly fix. on these engines its usually the vpod that goes first. then you'll also get a bad one from the dealership as well. junk stuff

    Did you take the radiator out yourself

    • @curtisnstacey
      @curtisnstacey  5 місяців тому +1

      @@BigGeorgiaBoi yes I did. I took the radiator out together with the cac. Very heavy, I took it out with a motor hoist. Next time if I ever have to do that I'll take the CAC out first then the rad.

      ok i just did mind i used a jack and a wood block to lift the radiator up and after that bracket cleared the bumper i pull it out by hand and took everything apart and when it came to the two metal bracket i used the C clamp to put the two pin on each corner so i can put the clip on the pin your video made everything easy for me thanks again sir

    Hey bud, did u use a OEM rebuild kit or aftermarket? Btw how many miles were on ur engine when u did the rebuild? Thanks and good luck in this economy

      I used the interstate mcbee kit. I had 1.2 million miles on it when I done it. Check out Part 1 of these videos and you’ll see me unbox some of the interstate Mcbee rebuild kit.

    How long did it take you and did you need someone help?

    • @curtisnstacey
      @curtisnstacey  Рік тому

      the only help i had was someone had a tractor next door and they lifted the head off my truck and sit it back on the block. i turned every bolt and done everything else by myself. i worked about 6 to 8 hours a day on it. very slow and careful. including the days it rained me out and i couldnt go outside it took me 25 days total.
