Icelandic volcano Litli-Hrútur Crater Collapse! At 4:11 AM on 19 July the crater wall on the volcano at Litli-Hrútur collapsed. Lava flowed out. The lava river flowing from the crater changed course as a result.

It's crazy how on some planets the lava is actually liquid gas like methane and flows like water and the water is frozen harder than steel.

Lava: hot molten or semi-fluid rock erupted from a volcano or fissure, or solid rock resulting from cooling of this. You wanna revise your information, though lava does produce a bunch of gases, dunno what cosmology video you got this info from but you might wanna check PBS spacetime instead.

Of course don't walk on lava. This collapse mostly spilled onto areas with no lava, by not mentioning this fact it can possibly give people a false sense of safety as someone may think it's ok to stand near the lava, if they did in this situation they would die.

Yes exactly. It is important to maintain a safe distance from the eruption even though you are not going onto the lava.
The police have now established a safety zone that people are not allowed to enter.

Just an hour or two before the collapse people were moving around on the exact same spot where the lava flowed afterwards. They were chased away from Landsbjörg, the icelandic search and rescue association...
