New volcanic eruption started here in Iceland at 20:23 local time 16th march 2024. This is a highlight video from yesterday, 5th May 2024.

Through the incredible advancements in technology, I can sit at my kitchen counter in South Africa eating a cheese and tomato sandwich and watch the inside of a volcano in Iceland. Fantastic footage.

My favorites from this where watching the collapse, the quick pass hail storm that was so like weather here at home, and the 360° pics of the small cones and showing the holes in the crusted lava.
Wonderful footage of the lava chamber! Some suggest the magma could be slowing down but looking at your video footage, it looks like it is still flowing pretty well.

It is slowing down for sure at the moment, but there was alot more going on yesterday than I was expecting. Who knows what will happen in the coming days.

Gutn showed a video yesterday......cone almost closed....smoke! They are predicting 22 nd for it to possibly restart there? Or open elsewhere...... Thorgason says it will be continuing there! Last day probably today Day 53!
Watching the lava drip down like water from the top edges back into the main pool is trippy AF. You really think you're just watching the ocean emerge through a blowhole... except the color is all wrong.
