The video cost less than £2000 to make proving if you have the creativity you can realise your vision on a shoestring :) I'm pretty sure the gun was a prop seeing as it was shot over here in the UK and we don't have guns here. As for the Rubik's Cube I get you on having one around with you, if you had a copy of The Dandy Annual which is a kids comic over here that would be more than suspect lol. Great reaction and deserved my sub :)
The cost of the video I think you’re mistaken - Ren and Sam did say this was the first video that they’d done that cost over £1000 - but they haven’t as far as I’ve seen, confirmed what it /did/ cost. I have seen a lot of people mix up the £1000 translated into $ meaning it cost $1200 roughly - again, a misunderstanding of what was actually said. The hire of the place, the camera and lighting, the sound engineer, the prop gun (yes it is a replica - the behind the scenes by WolfJohnson shows it arriving), the hiring of the pianist and string quartet - all in, i think the cheapest they could do it, if they were miracle workers, would have been £10k, but much more likely £30k+. They do talk about it being a 10th the budget of a big record label production - and I know they can easily be £100k and up - so, £2k isn’t realistic but anything £10k up might be and since a lot of it was favours and things like the £100k piano being lent for the shoot for free from Yamaha (including delivery and set up) and the rain being cobbled together from hose they had lying around at the last minute etc, it was certainly done “cheap” though.
Always enjoy your reaction/reviews. I'm pretty sure Ren doesn't intend a part 4 , and this will stand as a trilogy. He is the first to admit that he doesn't have all the answers, but he does believe that collectively WE can find them . And yes this is a masterpiece , it is Ren's favorite . I too believe this is his best ever .Now on to your poetry.
Yes, Ren has said that there will not be a part 4. He has also said that while he does not know the "solution," he does believe that group intelligence could find an answer, if people would just work together. That's what his 7 Sins game was all about - collaboration to solve problems.
Great reaction my friend. At last.. Ren's messages are getting out now..a true human being..a humanist. The people need his words.. before its too late. ☮️💓🇬🇧🙏 EDIT: Please listen to Ren & Chinchilla doing "How to be me' And Chinchilla doing 'Fingers'..You will thank me.☮️
That trepidation when you hear that gun hit the table with that real gun weight? And then that tension screwing tighter and tighter with every time he waves it carelessly as he speaks. Finger on the trigger the whole time. Its a masterclass in cinematic unspoken scene tension. If those are the right terms. You jumped back every time the muzzle crosses the camera. I did too. That visceral reaction shows you how much you are THERE with him in this story. Its just story telling genius. Sam and Ren getting people INTO the scene. Because you arent the only reactor I've seen with that same gut instinct fear impacting them. Especially veterans. Of course. Goes against all their training and respect for weapons. We all know now, after Halyna Hutchins was killed on set, and not forgetting Brandon Lee. Geez a young rap star was killed when a blank misfired during a music vid filming here in Australia not long ago. That scene? No one is comfortable. Even knowing its a film scene, it still gets you. Even if you dont know guns. It gets you. This, mg1, the tales trilogy and animal flow are all so incredible when it comes to the execution, the story, the acting, the filming. Every single bit is perfection
I love that Sam did his research after he did Hi Ren. I'm. Not a huge fan of reaction videos, but I do love how it gives more exposure for artists like Ren. Just had some of his merch, today actually, just a Keychain and a sticker, but I love it 😅
Ren puts the spotlight on us - he's not giving answers because the answers lie within each of us individually. Money Game Part 1 gave us the history and cultural response to capitalism. Part 2 showed us how politics and commerce exploited this and we became dupes to the greed. Part 3 is a showcase on an "exaggerated version" of how this impacts each indivdual life. None of us are immune, none of us are free. He shares this lens and leaves it for us to figure our if/how/to what extent we can untether ourselves from this toxic money game.
Apparently it was a very realistic prop, and they did some very clever switcheroos of clips off camera so the loading was one clip, and the one he slapped home into the prop was a different, prop clip.
That was a great reaction. The gun was an amazingly custom made prop. The wanted it to look as genuine as possible. Btw, I listened your new poem, Hollow (sorry if I misspelled it). It was a thought provoking, emotional and an extremely well spoken word poem video. I hope it gets a lot of views. You deserve it. I know people can relate in a huge way.
@@YoungbloodPoetry I forgot to mention they not only did Ren want the gun to look real, he wanted the weight and metal it was made of, to be the same so it sounded authentic when he set it on the table.
Ren actually said it was a real colt 45 decomissioned and unable to fire. They had to get special licences to have it. He also had 2 magazines which he had switched out of frame and put an empty in the gun. He wanted it to be real so it couldnt be picked apart by gun enthusiasts.
I greatly appreciate your poetic and artistic perspective in this reaction. A poet friend of mine was working on perspective and couched it as looking at a gem, the rotating it and seeing it anew. While he wasn't satisfied with the gem being the object used, I think there's an kernel of truth in his attempt. I lost contact with him, but I like to think that he found the right words to make this work. Nonetheless, you have rotated the gem for me, and I appreciate that. There are many directions you can take in your Ren journey. I would make a recommendation, but I think that any direction you take will be rewarding. Thank you

First reaction of yours I have seen I think but it was a brilliant reaction. Yes the gun was real but decommissioned with 2 mags as per law so Ren did two switch outs. Still scary to see him hold it to his head. From singing (all styles) to rapping (bars/flows/schemes for days), Bardcore (story telling) beatbox, makes his own beats, scatting and a multi instrumentalist (guitars, bass, drums, melodica and more). On top of that he is the most beautiful human being inside and out who has been through and continues to go through absolute hell. He’s 33 from Anglesey, Wales originally but spent most his life in Brighton, England. He’s been living in Calgary, Canada all year receiving intense medical treatment for his brain damage and mast cell activation disorder amongst other things. He started off making beats at 12 and selling CDs then moved on to busking. He was part of a band called Trick The Fox and was signed to Sony but they didn’t renew the contract after his health deteriorated. He then started The Big Push. They went on hiatus the end of last year after 5 years partly due to his move to Canada and also because the other members are also soloists and were moving around too. I have a list of songs to check out of all styles. Ha, ha, I had visions of Mr. A Baldwin when I first saw Ren waving the gun around. It's OK, they went to great pains to have it look real, but someone was under the table swapping bullets and clips for dummies, from what I understand. Still not a great advert for gun safety, the way he handles it. Clearly he is from the UK and is not used to handguns!! Interesting comments, I look forward to watching your poems. Thanks. Ed to add. No part 4, this is it. Part 4 is up to all of us. We need to work out how to solve the issues Ren raises amongst all of us humans.
Loved this! This one’s coming out of left field, but I’ll shoot my shot with LoveJoy. Totally different type thing, indie band from the UK. It seems like it’s just vibes, but there’s some really meaningful lyrics there. I suggest starting with Privately Owned Spiral Galaxy (despite it actually being a cover) or The Fall (original) Fr tho happy to see you back, I’m omw to Hallow.
Great reaction! I thought you were going to be the first to make the "nuclear and shells in Iran" connection to Money Game part 2...but you missed it. You got the closest though with the "Lie will sell itself" connection. Out of the MANY reactions to this song I have seen, no one has mentioned the Shells connection...lol.
12:39 The would have had to clear the gun as a prop for the music video shoot. Dummy bullets and likely no firing pin. So, even though it looks real, it wouldn't be possible for the gun to fire.
Hey man!! Glad to see you back and glad the poetry has been bangin’ for you. Will definitely check that out. Now, imma sit back and watch your mind be blown… 🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼
Ren has already answered your question ... the way out of the money game is to live your life with money being nothing more than what it was designed to be .. a tool for trade .. a means .. as he said in an interview with the charismatic voice .. think of money as clay .. clay is very useful for making things .. but you dont need a lot of it to do that ,, more clay does not necessarily mean better creations ... live life with intent and purpose and use money to fulfil needs .. nothing more
A couple of his older videos i think you'll enjoy... Ocean and Ready for You! For a Visual Art video... with crazy low numbers... especially being Soooo old... is Crutch!
@@TheBeelzboss No worries at all... I do the same quite often! The way I see it... if I like the poster enough to comment... an extra one will help with the algorithm for them! Lol
Ren has said that there will not be a Money Game Pt 4. I think he made his point with The Challenge that he did to promote this video: We are all part of the game, and will always be part of the game. We need to constantly look at our own behaviors, and change them. We need to value all contributions to the whole, and stop seeking to elevate ourselves over others.
Been too long brother. Glad you got done what you had to and glad youre back! Love your insight into Ren's art. Another great reaction, Bless you brother...
REN said it was not a real gun but a prop. It took them a lot to get that into Canada! You never here the gun go off just the click. Will there be a 4? He said his stories come in threes soooo. REN is the best!
The video was shot in the U.K., not Canada. Knox flew over to be on set too, as did the WolfJohnson to do the behind the scenes. But, it was still a challenge getting the specific replica Ren insisted on as it had to be a colt 45. Ren has confirmed he has no intention of continuing the Money Game series.
Hi guys am a big Ren fan and have been for years to all other Ren fans out there please please checkout this reactors poems and show the love yhey are amazing and powerful ❤❤
I believe it was a replica gun, he had 2 clips 1 real one and a replica and they were blanks in uk its very hard to get hold of because of strict regulations
@@YoungbloodPoetrythis is the behind the scenes of making this video. It’s really cool and interesting. He’s so proud of the work that was put into this. And so am I.
I feel like he did hint at the victim of the game at the very beginning. The melody he sung in front of the mirror was the same as the intro to Violet's Tale. While it's not obvious that she fits in the story directly I still feel like he brought it back to the Jenny and Screech trilogy and I doubt that was by accident. I didn't see any reactors mention it though, which is odd. Am I completely wrong?
Ren isn't irrasponsable with the gun ,its a real gun but the clip he loaded, is not the clip he put back in the gun ,that one was empty. I dont understand how he pulled a trick like that and still delivered such an emotional dramatic recital of his work at the same time . If I had to do it ,it probably would be" I shot the Sheriff " instead of this amazing song
It's sad how most Americans totally lose focus once the gun appears. The gun becoming their focus instead... Do you really think they'd be using a real gun and live ammunition? :) It was hard enough to get this replica/decommissioned gun, that can't fire and which they needed a licence for. Also the cartridge he slotted in was empty. It had been swapped, off-camera. :)
Fake gun Youngblood lmfao you cant get real weapons in the UK. Loved the reaction but #2 is still my fav outta the 3 😂😂 hop on to the album its fire wicked ways being my fav along with seven sins. Love ya ❤❤❤
It was a prop gun, he mentioned in an interview how hard it was for him to get it in the UK and even though it wasn't capable of firing they still had to get all sorts of special permits. He also said it was super sketchy after filming because they had a van full of fake drugs, fake money, and a fake gun. And he's also said the Money Game trilogy is done. He said he may make other music with the same topic but 'Money Game' itself is over.

Number 2 was far from a hypothetical. Shell oil came about from a company that originally sold imported shells.
☮️💓🇬🇧🙏
EDIT: Please listen to Ren & Chinchilla doing "How to be me' And Chinchilla doing 'Fingers'..You will thank me.☮️
That trepidation when you hear that gun hit the table with that real gun weight?
The answer is not to play, take only what you need and give back til it hurts. Live a simple life And treat people with dignity along the Way.
I love that Sam did his research after he did Hi Ren. I'm. Not a huge fan of reaction videos, but I do love how it gives more exposure for artists like Ren. Just had some of his merch, today actually, just a Keychain and a sticker, but I love it 😅
Finally!!!
Thanks for your patience haha. I hope you enjoy
Well said
Saw your Hallow poem. Very raw and personal.
You ain’t crazy bro, well you might be but not for saying this is his best video yet. It is perfection.
HAHAHA! Yup
Apparently it was a very realistic prop, and they did some very clever switcheroos of clips off camera so the loading was one clip, and the one he slapped home into the prop was a different, prop clip.
Appreciate you, Youngblood! Thanks for putting poetry first!
AGREE! Definitely the best video yet. Can't wait to check out your HALLOW poem :)
Wow, thank you!
Thanks for the info about the prop. And thanks so much for watching my poem!
@@YoungbloodPoetry I forgot to mention they not only did Ren want the gun to look real, he wanted the weight and metal it was made of, to be the same so it sounded authentic when he set it on the table.
@@rockyroad64 ye and he switches out the mag out of frame
Ren actually said it was a real colt 45 decomissioned and unable to fire. They had to get special licences to have it. He also had 2 magazines which he had switched out of frame and put an empty in the gun. He wanted it to be real so it couldnt be picked apart by gun enthusiasts.
@@frankensteinfpv , ohhh. I thought he had to get permits for the ammo. Sorry for the confusion.😑
Thank you
Welcome back! I've missed you! I agree that this is Ren's best video yet. Incredible.
REN is the best at everything!!! Ren is so respected and he is beautiful inside and out. He is a geniue !!!
Worth the wait for you to do, What a masterful performance, just stunning,
Ren makes me cry so much every damn time
its a masterpiece just like hi ren jenny and screech trilogy money game part 1 and 2 his song genesis plus many more. how can one man make so many masterpieces???
Excellent Reaction, "This man grab the camera". Chuckled on that one, felt like he grabbed you by your jacket didn't it...Best concept video yet!!! Peace.
Awesome to see you back!! I agree that you'd love Penitence featuring Molly McKinna. Best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺
Liked instantly! No Worries Brother... we're just glad ya mad it back for more Ren!
Again... do Not overlook his older stuff!! Ocean, Ready for you, etc...
Did you do For Joe? It is beautiful. And he plays piano! It is a mix up of a couple of his songs and a new part in the middle. Plus the piano added. Live of course.
I absolutely freaked out when I saw that you reacted to Money Game 3! Honestly, since the day he released this video the #1 person I’ve wanted to see break down/react to this is you. So stoked I’m about to watch this!
Love your reactions! I’m a fellow poet and I can’t get enough of Ren. You’ll love the bars on Genesis, and Seven Sins off the new album is absolutely next level. ❤
when something gets my brain going I pull out a fidget too!
Ren Seven sins ❤
Ren can solve it in 16 moves... see his 90s kid video!!! Lol
Its a Great video... eoecially if youre a 90s baby! So ive heard! Lol
Yeah he does make the boast he can solve it in 15 moves…however, it’s been proven that some solutions require up to 20 moves even for a perfect t minimal solution so….hes definitely boasting, along with his claims to beat anyone at Tekken etc :)
@sputukgmail Far better than me... i couldnt solve it if my life depended on it! Lol
I'm sure he's good at it... and I'm sure he's boasting! That's a Hugh part of Hip Hop culture!
Just discovered your channel - excellent reaction, you got a new sub! And I'm sure someone else has already mentioned this, but just in case: Sam is Samuel Perry-Falvey, who has shot many of Ren's videos, and who is an absolute artist!
I think you'd love some of the music videos for Alt-J songs. They don't have many but the one that comes to mind is Pleader
Hey great to see you back! This song and video, gives me goosebumps every time. Agree that it is definitely one of Ren’s best pieces of work. Think both Ren and Sam said that they felt it was the best video they had done. Will definitely check out your poem, next. 🔥
thank you for continuing to react and support my favourite artist ever, glad your back, sending big love from the UK, the sick boi album is amazing ❤❤
Glad to see you getting back to Ren. Ive been following since your first reaction to him. You really seem to get him. Off to check out your poem... much ❤
This video is truly one of Ren’s best. The production and his performance are perfection. Loved your reaction and will be checking out your poetry ❤
Ok. Had to love and subscribe .
Thank, or cheers as from the UK .
Everyone appreciates everyone's bigging up our boi!
Love the poetry. I love writing.
Much respect and love to you man. Cheers again,. ,💜🍀✌️
I appreciate it
@@YoungbloodPoetry
Much love to you and yours. ✌️
First reaction of yours I have seen I think but it was a brilliant reaction. Yes the gun was real but decommissioned with 2 mags as per law so Ren did two switch outs. Still scary to see him hold it to his head.
I know you have already reacted to some Ren before so you may know this or done some of the tracks but I’ll paste some info and songs below for you 🖤

Welcome to the Renaissance! Ren is my favourite artist of all time. I say artist because he is a multifaceted diamond!
Obviously this is no where near everything but gives you places to start. 🖤

Im going to check that poem out straight after this 😊
Love Ren. Is is so talented. He has many genre's
Now, imma sit back and watch your mind be blown…
🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼
We’ve missed you! Happy for your success ❤
For a Visual Art video... with crazy low numbers... especially being Soooo old... is Crutch!
I would add to that Crutch with Bibi. It is a gorgeous video.
@@TheBeelzboss that's the one I was yapping about! Lol

@@woodywoodman2319 for some reason I didn't even see the second sentence on my computer. Otherwise I wouldn't have been redundant in my comment.
Great reaction, thanks. Loved your poem too 🖤
Happy to see you make a return but also glad you've been busy.
Me too!
I agree one of his best pure genius videos.
My record for ren is about to arrive, im so excited
Been too long brother. Glad you got done what you had to and glad youre back! Love your insight into Ren's art. Another great reaction, Bless you brother...
Thoroughly enjoyed ur reaction, thank you! Glad i found your channel, new sub
Been waiting for this one
REN said it was not a real gun but a prop. It took them a lot to get that into Canada! You never here the gun go off just the click. Will there be a 4? He said his stories come in threes soooo. REN is the best!
The video was shot in the U.K., not Canada. Knox flew over to be on set too, as did the WolfJohnson to do the behind the scenes.
But, it was still a challenge getting the specific replica Ren insisted on as it had to be a colt 45.
Ren has confirmed he has no intention of continuing the Money Game series.
That is Ren at the start on the keys
Hi guys am a big Ren fan and have been for years to all other Ren fans out there please please checkout this reactors poems and show the love yhey are amazing and powerful ❤❤
I believe it was a replica gun, he had 2 clips 1 real one and a replica and they were blanks in uk its very hard to get hold of because of strict regulations
It’s a prop. There is a behind the scenes video available for UA-cam premium members. It looks so real though.
It really does. It fooled me haha
@@YoungbloodPoetryhey I found the link for you.

@@YoungbloodPoetrythis is the behind the scenes of making this video. It’s really cool and interesting. He’s so proud of the work that was put into this. And so am I.
One take too lol Insane!!
Rubik cube record is 5.5 seconds!!!!
Loved this reaction. Earned my sub :) With love from Florida!
i recommend checking out Ghetts-Black Rose
Fantastic review...
its done in 1 shot also...
🔥
Great reaction.
(BTW, it was a prop gun.)
Ren❤❤❤
Fake gun Youngblood lmfao you cant get real weapons in the UK. Loved the reaction but #2 is still my fav outta the 3 😂😂 hop on to the album its fire wicked ways being my fav along with seven sins. Love ya ❤❤❤
I'll definitely check out his album
In my mind, the gun has no firing pin, so there is no chance of an accident. I hope there is no part 4.
It was a prop gun. It is Britain and they had trouble getting it.
I also understand that he switched out clips under the table.
@@rshinde6338yes, he switched the clips.
