After the meeting he moved, forward with his plan to save Vegas and become an immortal computer while the executives were in stasis, something that directly contradicts their plan to reduce the world to a blank slate.

There were 77 nukes targeted at the city *and the surrounding area*, House only managed to prevent most of them (which included ones directly targeting the city). Also, I don't have as much of a problem with House's portrayal in ths TV scene. He was against the Vault plan, but he phrased it in a way that would seem to be more about effectiveness. Which makes sense, as he would be smart enough not to try using moral arguments around people that are clearly morally bankrupt (especially around dangerous people with connections like Vault Tec and West Tek) My main problem with that scene is Fredrick Sinclair being there. Yeah, he's a rich guy in Fallout, but he never seemed that malicious or callous like the show portrayed him. When I first played New Vegas on October 10th 2022 I knew that I would get the worst endings out of the way first. First was the Legion for obvious reasons. Next was the NCR, after spending 4 years under Anton York (a free Mr T trading card for anyone who gets both of these references) democracy was starting to lose its appeal, especially if you compare the NCR to modern America. Now, if it were me in this world instead of Courier 6, I'd work for a true independent New Vegas. But this is Courier 6 we're dealing with here and they don't have the skills to run a nation properly, it's not as easy as chowing down on a pile of Fancylad Snack Cakes. So the only option for the long term recovery of not only the Mojave but also mankind lies with Mr House. You can save the Kings if you show them as driving out the NCR and have loyalty to the people of New Vegas. The Omertàs are a problem, mind you a problem that House created but the adage "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" applies. The Brotherhood of Steel are a massive problem for any faction trying to restore the world with any technology more advanced than a Stimpack. But we'll just have to wait till Season 2 of the T.V Show to see if ultimately the House did win, of if he's Not At Home.
One thing I dont get about the love House tends to get is why folks are willing to take him at face value when he says he's not gonna mess with people's private lives. He's already done that plenty to most of the denizens of the Mohave, even if those changes were for the better (House's Vegas > tribal Vegas for sure). Or for something on a more personal scale, look at his story with Vault 21. He's not a fascist, so he's not gonna flat out say he's tyrant even if he acts like one. That doesnt mean he might not still be the best choice for the Mohave, because this is NV and the writing is dope.
For me its House or the NCR in New Vegas (I prefer the former). In Fallout 4 its the Minutemen or the Railroad. In Fallout 3 its neither I Nuke Adams then I Nuke the Citadel to free the Capital Wasteland of Enclave and BoS Tyranny. In Fallout 76 its the Free States.

I really enjoyed this video. I do enjoy learning about fallout even if it’s some of the older games. However, what I think would be really interesting is if somebody took the map from the TV series and tried to figure out all the vaults that we’ve seen in different games as well as other ones talked about. I think it would be a unique way of possibly being able to figure out where future locations of games could take place, just a thought. I’m sure that that map is more accurate than what most people may assume.
Someone has done something similar to this, overlaying all game maps with the real world map. Original trilogy did in fact use a 1-1 scale, however with the way exploration worked in those titles makes it a little underwhelming. The issue came about with 3 and 4, where they began to use a weird .8-1 scale both to save resources and time, and for general lack of things existing in certain areas.
This video was amazing, and as a newbie Fallout fan I love to learn more about the franchise. Safe to say, Robert House is my favorite character in all of Fallout.

After watching my brother play New Vegas many years ago and gathering some inklings of his philosophy and vision, I couldn't help but conclude that if I had played the game, I would have helped him. After all, the Platinum Chip was his by right of invention in the first place. He was the one who---despite his immense personal losses (death of both parents) and deprivations (denial of inheritance)---built his own fortune from nothing. But damn it I just think everybody else is stupid he's the only one that gives a shit about fixing anything or getting anybody off the damn planet. There not exactly being fair in the television show because they're not telling you that house new almost by 20 years that the bombs were going to drop and he just said it off faster so that he could preempt it. And from what I understand there's actually aliens in this world that were manipulating human history from way the back and they were the ones that were causing a lot of the strife and wars as some kind of social experiment. Well house doesn't want to play that game and he said well fu*k that! Lol 😅

Can't say I'm a fan of the show "lore" being included in these videos, especially since it requires headcanon to justify it. Think it'd be better if lore videos remained focused on facts, but that might just be me.
@@WiseFishyeah, the show is in a weird gray areas of the overall lore. It's definitely not helped by certain misconceptions, like people saying that the boardroom scene *confirms* that Vault Tec dropped the bombs, instead of just being morally bankrupt enough to do so if peace talks won out (which they didn't, bases on the news channel in Fallout 4(
@@tinaherr3856 Those misconceptions are more on the people who made the show than the fans, like the chalk board showing shady sands being nuked and leaving out the year it happened.
House had only ever acted out of self interest now matter how many other people would suffer. He is a stand in for an Ayn Rand protagonist (a sociopath).
I personally see the fallout show as non canon, Mr. House being in that meeting would mean he knew when the bombs would be dropped, when clearly he didn't since he thought he would get the Platinum Chip in time. Aside from that, this video was pretty good. I dread to imagine how New Vegas' lore will be ruined in the show, like the rest of the franchise did in season 1.
I think the bit with House still fits. The idea of being able to mathematically predict exact future decisions made by hundreds or thousands of people is ludicrous. Pretty easy to move that from just being part of the settings sci-fi qualities to being a lie House uses to cover up his involvement with the bombs. He was one of the richest men in America, it makes sense he'd be in on it. However just because he was at the meeting doesn't mean he knew everything. He might've been given the wrong time for the launch (2280 as mentioned in the video) for one reason or another, likely part of a plot from one of the other people in on the whole thing. Or even more likely, the plan was 2280 originally but then something happened and it went off early.

Regardless of whether you like Robert house or not, unfortunately it is the best option in regards to who should run New Vegas, which is why I ultimately decide to side with him
My only question is this: If House was itchy how did he scratch it?
The 1st time I played through, I chose the NCR (I think we all did) but after that? No. It’s all about Mr. House.
Shameless House fangirl here. Cause The House Always Win
Thank you WiseFish!
What do you race?
the House Always Wins
Hello can make a video about the brotherhood of steel please
Another Bass test, nice.
All the debates about who is best for the mojave will end once the Republic of Dave reaches New Vegas.
Someone is posting a load of your fallout content on tiktok, theyre crediting you but still sucks in case you dont know. Also please please keep making longer videos, I love having them on while I revise for uni exams
Forgot how great the story of new vegas is
I never played new Vegas, but wanted to learn about him after I saw people hype his tv cameo.
He’s an amazing character, one I would side with no question. Maybe one of my favorites in all of fallout
😅 I keep telling myself that I'm going to side with New Vegas eventually😅😅. Lol 😅
The House Always wins❤❤
After a thorough play through of FNV im convinced Mr. House is the only faction ending that makes sense. 🤡🍿
The House Always Win.
When big tv man cries cause he demands you hand him his platinum chop 😅😅
this isnt on spotify
My fallout creators are making cyber punk vids and my cyberpunk creators are making fallout vids. Dammit lol 😂

16:12 *technology
SCIENCE!!!
The House always win!
Here's my ideal ending: NCR, but forge an alliance with Mr. House, where the rest of the Mojave can be run by the NCR, while New Vegas remains sovereign
The TV show screwed up a lot, might be best to consider it on its own timeline
The sole surviver during every game honk shoo honk shoo
Mr. House criticizing the Courier for his vanity project is pretty damn rich
Because some random guy off the street is better at saving humanity than the tony stark of his generation? lol
Mr.House is the fallouts version of Elon Musk, just with less space, although he did team up with Repconn so who knows.
Wait is that footage from the fallout show? Im out, dun want spoilers srry
Stolen from another video about mr house.
Mr house: why did you take down the NCR?
Me: they tried to tax me.
House: understandable.
😂😂
Can't say I'm a fan of the show "lore" being included in these videos, especially since it requires headcanon to justify it.
Think it'd be better if lore videos remained focused on facts, but that might just be me.
To each their own. I included it though as they stated it’s canon so just wanted to addd it even if I don’t fully like it
@@WiseFishyeah, the show is in a weird gray areas of the overall lore.
🔥🔥
A boring ass unnecessary intro followed up by a shit scam earbud ad followed up by 2 unskippable ads, 5 mins in and we can watch the video 😎😎😎
Na man yes man is😂😂😂
Raycons are the best earphones I have ever purchased!
❤❤❤
House had only ever acted out of self interest now matter how many other people would suffer. He is a stand in for an Ayn Rand protagonist (a sociopath).
For every like this comment gets I will fart as hard and loud as possible
House was a Doctor in an hospital, no wonder he lived for 2 centuries.
The tv show showing them meet and decide to drop the bombs themselves was absolutely stupid. Awful retc9n.
they, they, they, they.... IT IS A SINGLE PLAYER GAME DAMMIT
Crap 2080 not 2280
listening to this with earbuds was tough. your voice keeps peaking the lows or something. the condenser mic effect or whatever is too much. idk the terminology
It's just you
You're not alone in this.
The TV series isn't canon. It will never be no matter how Toad Howard says
