I was already a fan of FNs Tac 3 rifle, but The DMR3 has become my favorite FN Rifle.
Though it’s an 18-inch barrel, it handles much smaller, making it an excellent candidate for a “do everything rifle”.
Throwing in the rifle-length gas system, the Surefire pro comp, the delicious two-stage Geissele trigger, and the DMR3 is one hell of a rifle.

FN 15 DMR 3 is a great setup rifle. I think it has an improved accuracy and reduce a bit of recoil. Great skills you got, Colion!

Why do you buy guns? It's more expensive than buying meat, there's less than a 1% chance you'll ever have to use it in a self defense scenario, the government could wipe you out in a million ways if they wanted to so.. just curious.

I got the OG dmr 1. Replaced the pro comp for a Jp enterprise flash hider. The gun shoots so well. The balance makes the recoil impulse so controllable even for a novice shooter.
My Daniel Defense 18” V11 Pro with the Leupold VX6HD is just like this set up. My favorite AR to shoot hands down.

I have the prior version, the DMR 2, and it rocks. I have a 1-8X LPVO and that works wonderfully on it. Mine has a laser instead of the offset red-dot, for the same basic purpose. Definitely love it. I'll probably upgrade later this year, but I'm not sure. I really do think this gun rocks!

The SIG Sauer 716 G2 DMR is my precision AR firearm. The only FN product I really like is the 5.7 however I haven't tried a lot of their products so I will keep an open mind. Thanks for the review 👍🏻
Fn 507 is a sweet pistol that goes unnoticed. But it's right up there with the best. I still have a FN-FNS pistol (no longer produced) and it's an awesome shooter. Another FN rifle I have is a FNC model,,,it's a 5.56, that thing is awesome. FN makes awesome stuff.
@@ricks.1092 That's why I said I need to keep an open mind because I haven't shot a lot of their products. My 5.7 - I haven't shot in I don't know how long I feel there's no need I'll save the ammo.

Colion, you are the person I love...to hate.....you show off all of these awesome items that I absolutely love to watch....and annoy my local dealership asking about availability......the person I would give a handshake and curse at🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's a really nice-looking rifle. I have the older plain black DMR II model, and it was pretty sweet straight out of the box as well. I eventually added the following upgrades, which made it A LOT better IMHO: Magpul MOE K2 grip, Magpul MOE MLOK bipod, Gen 2 Magpul UBR stock with VLTOR A5H2 buffer and Geissele Super 42 rifle length recoil spring, Geissele Airborne charging handle, and Geissele SD-E trigger. It shoots noticeably smoother than before and is even more comfortable to get behind. I put a Leupold Mk 5 HD scope in a Badger Condition One mount on top, and it will shoot sub MOA groups all day if I bring the right ammo and do my part. It's one of my favorite rifles to shoot from the bench. I caught it on sale at well under retail, which is like all FN retail prices, too damn high. Regarding the handguard, I don't see why they don't just put MLOK slots all the way around a la the Geissele Mk 16 SMR.
Haha is there anything still left of FN on the rifle? I have the same rifle and only really saw the need to upgrade the charging handle. Love the single stage trigger it came with. Also love the look of the handguard, it was actually one of things that sold me on it...something a little different than most other plain Jane handguards.
@@Abruzzo333 Looking back, it was an overpriced and poorly equipped rifle out of the box. The DMR 3 version at least came with some additional/better popular aftermarket components that help to justify the exorbitant cost. If I had it to do over again, I would have just bought a complete Geissele Super Duty rifle instead.
Beautiful gun
The best part of the LPVO and offset red dot is not being able to switch from engaging close or far targets, it is using the red dot to find things far out easily at high magnifications. It can be really hard to find a small target at 200 yrds with a 10x scope, you get lost in the optic. It is so nice to be able to get the target with the red dot and then transition to 10x and be right on target instead of having to zoom in and out.
Thank you for reviewing this DMR I've been going back and forth between A Daniel Defence 18" or this FN. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the FN
Daniel Defense is better, I went with the DDM4 V7 Pro in Rattlecan. It’s beautiful. DD hammer forges their chambers with their barrels. That in itself shows no short cuts, it’s a more durable rifle.

Holy muzzle brake Batman! I never understood why anyone would slap a muzzle brake on a 5.56 rifle unless they're running a dedicated suppressor. But to each their own.
That's a big part of why it shoots so flat. The Surefire Pro Comp works very well, and let's face it, most people are going to use these in 2 or 3 gun competitions before taking out commie leftist scum at DMR ranges. I don't like brakes, but I've been too lazy to swap the one on my DMR II for a flash hider even though I set it up to sit on my ass and shoot from the bench.
My favorite FN is a DSA made FN FAL Congo model, because Fudd’s run 308 and 45 ACP/ 10mm because there is no substitute long range power and accuracy.

The Bore scope, looks like something I use as a medical resident. We used similar devices when performing a sigmondflexoscopy. Now the scope part is attached to a nice 55" Flat TV. For my specialty, the scope is going up a person rectum. I'm a gastro surgeon.

What are your thoughts on binary trigger systems? I have one on one of my AR platforms. I don't use it often as it blows through a lot of ammo. However it is nice to have if the need arises. Nice setup with the short range Optics at the one degree.
I would prefer the SOCOM you reviewed over this for the intended role, just from the potential longer reach of a 7.62 even with a shorter barrel.

Triarc has a version of the rail with 7 sides of m-lok AND built in QD mounts(steel inserts/anti rotational). Believe ZEV makes it for them. It's so much better.

Stag offers a lefty ar if you’re interested in that. It’s tougher if you’re righty with left eye dominance though. My dad is, so I know how annoying it can be
