    I love it when people bring out these types of videos, after being inundated 24/7 with the politics and legislative bullcrap that we are dealing with right now. It’s very important for us to deal with the news and the problems coming down the line, but sometimes it’s nice to unplug and relax and watch videos about our hobby that are just plain fun. Thank you, Colion.

      @@ColionNoir I stumbled upon your videos like most because I'm a supporter of 2A. I'm not sure if you've done any videos on budget guns and in the past I've stayed away from them. But certain types have really ramped up their quality and to me could compete with the likes of Springfield or Glock. I have a new carry pistol that is used by law enforcement in many other countries. I think you'll be surprised if you don't already own one. Pick up a Tisas Zigana px-9 9mm. Break it in and maybe do a budget gun type video if possible. You might like the gen 3 as much as your Springfield. The gen 2 is really well made also. They accept sig p226 mags and can have a fairly large capacity for its size. Good luck and keep up the good content. Thank you.

      What a great gun time we live in (other than politics I mean…but in terms of options). Almost all the arguments between most pistols nowadays are pure preference and personal ergonomics. Sometimes I like the thinness of a 43x or a Shield. Sometimes I like the short, fat 26 with an extended 19 mag as a backup. Sometimes I like the sexy Sig P938. Sometimes I want the manly G20 full of 10mm in the woods. Sometimes I pocket a Sig 238 .380 when I am in sweats. And sometimes the nostalgia of a true classic 1911. Options are awesome.

      @@psycomutt there’s truth to that. I still prefer Glocks over the others, partly because they’re so easy to fix if something does go wrong. All the others, you end up having to send back to the motherships. But in terms of reliability, the field really has changed in the past few years. 40 or 50 years ago, one misfeed or problem in 50 rounds, and most people were perfectly happy with it. Now, we talk in terms of one in 500 rounds or more, and we agonize over that.

    The P365X could easily take place of the Glock G43X you're carrying, since you want the short barrel and longer grip! That's why I chose the P365X as my carry gun and with the Wilson Combat grip module with the Magguts kit and their much improved baseplates plus my Holosun 407k it's my perfect pistol!

      Hey Scott...check out the Icarus new grip coming out soon called the X-Evo. Price is super high but if you mainly carry 1 gun then this will top the WC grip. Still WC is way better then stock by feel and the fact it doesn't flex when a mag isn't' inserted but if you got the money I would suggest Icarus grips. I wish they kept up with stock because I have their p320 grip and its amazing. Just throwing it out there.

    Being on SS I can’t afford all the guns you’ve showed. With that said I find that I could afford a HI- POINT model C-9. It shoots good but I find the grips it’s a little too big for my hand. The day I bought this gun at a tractor supply store I also bought the 380. I do not carry because I don’t have a training I only have the guns for home defense. I prefer the 380 because it fits my hand better but as soon as my grandson at the time was 16 he fell in love with it and I told him when he turned 18 and graduated high school he could have it a long with my 1972 International scout II. Luckily for him he graduated this year Unlucky for me and I lost my scout and my 380 gladly. You’ll never catch that boy out deer or elk hunting without that 380 on his hip. I don’t know if you’ve ever done it but I’d like to see a video on the lower price hand guns that people on a fixed income that they can afford. Thanks John

      I just bought the Max after having the FN, glock 19, and 365. The max fits so well in the pocket that my phone weighs down my pocket more. I found myself only carrying 60 percent of the time after I gained weight and everything was uncomfortable. The max ensures I'm armed with something at all times, which is better than the other 10 pistols I left in the safe.

      In my experience it's a bad idea to add weight to your ankles. It's not an efficient load bearing part of your body and will eventually cause you significant discomfort, loss of fitness, and possibly injury. You want to keep your gear in the same place where you'd put a saddle on a horse, along your trunk. Above the hips (higher than what modern pants allow) and under your arms supported by the spine near the shoulders are where you should carry weapons and gear, if you want to do so long-term without handicapping yourself.

    Granted I’m not a big gun guy, but wouldn’t the idea of having different defense guns be a bad idea? If your carrying all the time, and god forbid something should happen, your only going to have a few moments to think. Having to remember which gun you have, optic, safety style, general ergonomics, would just complicate an already stressful situation. Wouldn’t it be much more ideal to just have 1 and become extremely familiar with it?

    You should really pick one and standardize. I understand the gun fetish, I really do. But my rotation has been a 9mm Glock 19 and a Glock 26 consistently for over 10 years. Those two work together as a system and they are proven and extensions of my body at this point. There has been no situation, from bathing suit to tuxedo where the G26 cannot be concealed.

    • @wheelguns4wheelmen802
      @wheelguns4wheelmen802 2 роки тому +1

      @Ghost he's not saying buy a Glock, he's saying pick a platform and train with it and stick with it. And that is pretty solid advice. However, I would argue that so long as you are keeping the type of firing system (DAO, DA/SA, SAO, and striker-fired), it really doesn't matter as much. Like, a FN 509C and FN 503 are similar, but not the same (the parts aren't interchangeable and some controls have been changed), but you should be able to fire and manipulate them both just fine as triggers are similar enough. I'd also say it would be okay to carry a Beretta 92G (a smaller framed / shorter slide model) and have a snub-nose revolver for deep carry, as DAO and DA/SA are going to have a similar enough first pull.
