Easy to follow and thorough step by step tutorials do it yourself (DIY) to help you with your broken lawn and garden equipment including snowblowers.
I do my best to teach you how to easily diagnose problems the fastest, quickest and most efficient way with real repairs beyond just replacing a spark plug. These tips are for both the homeowner and shop owner.
Whether it be a handheld, two stroke, two cycle engine like a chainsaw, weed eater, weed wacker, string trimmer, grass trimmer, line trimmer, hedge trimmer, strimmer, brush cutter, leaf blower, or four stroke, four cycle units like a lawnmower, wood splitter, lawn tractor, snowblower, pressure washer, generator or a ride on mower that needs parts installed or replaced, I’m your go-to guy.
My favorite brands of spark plugs are NGK and Champion and are the ones I recommend.
I’ve been a small engine mechanic for many decades and also run my own repair shop so my videos are loaded with tips and tricks that I have learned and want to share with you. You will also find many tool and product reviews from top brands on my channel as well.

I'm repairing a mower after someone had their hands into it. Linkage was hooked up wrong and engine running at high RPM. Thank you for the video.

I was really struggling with the linkage on my Tecumseh lawn mower and your video was like "how did he know I was going to have this much trouble" In Australia the parts and kits for small motors are ridiculous prices. So basic repairs are welcome Thank you young fella.

I have 5.5hp Tecumseh in a Craftsman lawnmower. There is no stationary point for the spring connector. There is a throttle control on the carburetor; no throttle cable. Does anyone have a pic that shows the correction connections?

What you said at the end is where i am at with this motor. starts with the prime just wont stay running.

Do you mean a clothes iron or like a ladies tubular hair hot iron?

  • @sloppydog5427

Aha! This was exactly the problem I was having and just what I was looking for today. Thank you sir for a brief but descriptive video without a bunch of extra, unnecessary nonsense!😊

Just finished rebuilding a 1982 Eager 1 for my 29 year old son. Was having lots of problems with the fuel system until I got a good look at the correct linkage hook ups. Thanks a million my friend you are keeping me running and my son will be very happy to not have to buy a new mower!!!

Ah ha! So THAT'S why my '93 Tecumseh (on a Murray 22" push mower of equal vintage) seems to be running comparably slower than it did before I replaced the carburetor this afternoon: I had simply placed the fore end of the main linkage in the largest hole at the bottom-left of the butterfly valve, rather than into the TOP LEFTMOST HOLE as I should have. Thanks a million, donyboy! I will certainly work on correcting this first-thing tomorrow morning...

Life-saver! Was just in the process of pulling my 4HP Craftsman mower's carburetor (for cleaning and inspection) and forgot to take note of the linkage configuration. An excellent, to the point, video. THANKS!

  • @gordonduke7174

Thank you sooo much for your time/ video. It taught me the right way to re-connect the linkages .

1,000 thank yous for this video! I had to take the carburetor off of my mower to blow it out, and of course didn't bother to take note of the linkage configuration, it gave me fits trying to figure out how to put it back together correctly. I tried every combination except the one you show in this video. Now it works perfectly!
