    Hello Bob, this will be my very 1st time building an R/C Tamiya model truck kit! I am blind, however I used to build before I lost my site. I feel very confident that I will be able to build this kit and I thank you for the videos that you put out even though I can only see a small portion of your videos and I do appreciate them thank you! I look forward to seeing the other 2 videos about this truck.

    Im just begging my Grand Hauler build. Ive done many RC builds mostly scale crawlers but this is my first semi build and I couldn't have been happier to find your videos extremely informative to the point no BS and fun to watch. While waiting for my kit to arrive over the last week ive watched many of your videos and I have to say your style of teaching and the wealth of knowledge you have in the hobby is impressive and helpful. The only gripe I have is now I need to have a fleet instead of just one after seeing all the cool rigs you've built.

    Whinston Knows how we roll ! Rule one, don"t sweat the small stuff.. Rule 2. its all small stuff !! My Boston Terriers have shown me this in my 50 yrs of RC hobby.. My peeps always come first.. Lately, my R.C. crawler has been ignored, because we have two 9 week old Boston terriers !! So Ireally enjoy your vids in my moments of peace !!

    I am glad you did these videos as i just bought this kit last week and have the basic frame and suspension together and I did the metal muffin tray like you did but what i did was take a magic marker and at the edge of each tray i wrote the bag letter when I had to open multiple bags. I was lost as to what radio and battery to use as the instructions do not say until i watched this video so im watching every build video before I proceed cause i know when the electrical part comes up i will be watching over and over lol 🤣 Thank you sir for your channel and keep them coming.

    Excellent Bob!! 👍👍👌 👌Definitive and easy to follow.
    My Grandson and I will be building his FIRST Tamiya RC Kit, the Grasshopper!! 😊 Of COURSE he wants a Rig, like his Gampy.... but that will have to wait until he gains more experience and confidence.
    I'm going to him watch THIS Series, because I feel that it best instructs him, in a calm, nice demeanor!
    Thank you!😉

    I can’t decide between this and 1/16 RC tank. And if semi can’t decide between globe and grand. Seen a really nice flat black globe on IG recently with lower window screen. You might seen it. It’s lowered a bit and really nice.

    I really love your videos, I am in the beginning stages of a Tamiya grand hauler. I am ordering some items as well as have some already on hand that I want to upgrade as the build unfolds so I don’t have to go back to take things apart.
    One question I had for you. I called Tamiya. They confirmed that the cross brace Tree for the frame is the same part number for the grand hauler and the king hauler. I ordered a king hauler metal cross brace kit, as none are listed for the grand hauler. Guys and forums are a mixed bag of saying it works with the King hauler metal cross braces others say it will not. Tamiya confirming on the phone today that the cross brace Plastic tree is the same part number. I feel confident with the order. Have you any input on this?

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  2 місяці тому +1

      All the Tamiya kits/tress include 4 crossmembers. The King Hauler uses 3 of these and they Grand Hauler uses all 4. As far as aftermarket I would assume if the kit says it's for a King Hauler it would have 3 crossmembers.

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  Рік тому

      Standard size servos. They do not have to be anything special but I normally like metal gear servos as they do not break as easily.

    How would a 80 turn motor work? Super slow?

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  Рік тому +1

      80 turn motors do slow down the truck. Generally the kits come with 27 turn motors and higher turn motors mean less speed and more torque. Not exactly linear but a guide. My favorite motor is a 55 turn.
