Everyone sitting o. The fence should give them a go, you will be amazed, I was worried about for and clarity of passthrough, but when you put them on all those con Ernst dissappear. Yes they can improve passthrough quality, but for fun they work amazingly well. The demo game with an alien spaceship landing in your room thr5a hole in the ceiling, then your walls breaking away to show an alien landscape absolutely blew me away. I was on the fence but if your willing to invest in games this is by far the most amazing experience. Buy now if you can and you will not regret it.
I think graphics are such an important part of a VR. It will be nice if we can have a headset that does not have blurry but clear optics. As well as better graphics. I guess the time for that will come, it’s just not right now
I think the Quest 3s might be as good or better than the quest 3 because it will probably have better tracking and passthrough. The resolution wasn’t the problem on the quest 2, it was the battery so they set the resolution way lower than it can do and you can change that in sidequest, so the only bad thing about the quest 3s is the lenses but I can’t notice a huge difference.
It is the same battery life as the others. Plus it will be just be a Quest 2 with the same chip as the 3 but nothing beats pancake lens. The Quest 3 has not even begun to shine yet. They are bringing the Qs out because they want to stop supporting the Quest 2.
The Quest 3 will have worse battery life, but if you have the money the Quest 3 is better in every other way. If you can you should get a battery strap. I have the Bobovr m3 and i usually get double the battery life. It hasn't fully died since i got it a month ago. So, if you can spend $550 bucks, get the Quest 3 with a battery strap. If you don't have that kind of budget you should get a Quest 3s.
PC VR User here with a Quest 2, there really is not much incentive to buy the 3 yet, its still too pricy considering I can get a great VR experience with the 2 still. Would be great if they did a more PC focused headset without a powerful processor as our PC is taking the brunt of the VR load. Until the 3 drops in price I think I will hang on to the 2....
I'll be using my PSVR2 for VR until there's an OLED Meta Quest headset. Even with the lower resolution and fresnel lenses the difference in the contrast makes up for that IMO.
I looked like every day and decided to get a new one instead because cheapest one I could find on marketplace was 350 and thats LA where there should be plenty of options and they didn't even respond to me. I don't know where you are but I wish I had the same luck.

I think the only thing stopping me from buying a Quest 3 is that the Quest 2 isn't so outdated yet that I want to drop 300$ to get a 3S. The software looks amazing but I can just keep using Quest Link to get visually impressive VR visuals. I am tempted but I don't think I am going to. As badly as I want to play Arkham Shadows.
I already have a 10mo Q3 so no point in getting a Q3s imho. I guess if it was cheap enough (~$199) I might consider one for travel and/or when kids/company come around to try out VR. I'm pretty sure I'll be fine with this until the Q4/Qpro2 comes out in the next 2-3yrs.
I've done the math when it came to the materials used in the quest 3 and they're actually losing money. This leads me to think, they must be making money off of our data.
They’re not making any money at all reality labs which is meta’s VR/MR department has never shown a profit they have always lost money. This is a long-term investment gambling that AR/MR/VR will eventually takeoff and when it does they were pretty much own the market . The money is in the operating system in the software. Microsoft and Sony don’t make a profit on their consuls, either and a lot of this technology will eventually get integrated into things like the Meta ray bands.
No pancake lenses makes it a deal breaker for me. I'm still on quest 2 and was waiting to see what comes out before upgrading. But if it's just gonna be as bulky as my quest 2 I don't really see the point in upgrading. I'd rather just buy the quest 3 at that point.
Im interested but, what I would really like is for steam and to be un-tethered to play steam vr games from headset. I want to travel and use to show off what is possible but, dont want to be taking a pc rig as well. Is there anything that can do this yet ? I have currently Dell visor WMR which is actually still useful and works fine but, its obviously tethered which is what I want to get away from. Appreciate any sensible answers or advice :)
@@AQUASURF funny you say this as I'm researching what valve is working on. The most recent leaks suggest valve is basically making a vr headset capable of everything the steam deck is capable of. Apart from that your best bet is to stream using shadow PC on say a quest headset

this is definitely an upgrade for people who like the quest 2s price and havent upgraded to a quest 3 because of price. Thats my boat but I still dont want either headset. Will be getting a psvr2 and the pc adapter instead.
A personal take: global markets may find the combination of quest 3 capability at a lower price point a game changer. Families who want to watch movies, hang out, play games etc together over long distances can buy several, lone users in tight apartments might find it an affordable replacement for an entertainment center, personal computer etc. Communities, libraries and educational venues in more impoverished regions may find the price low enough to be a viable tool, and so on. We may see less appeal in western markets but broad adoption globally. If so, a quest 3s as described might have a huge impact, drive down costs etc.
I have been toying with the idea of upgrading to quest 3 but it's the price that puts me off if the 3s is the same price as the 2 on its first launch it makes sense for me to get the 3s it's a no brainer and just in time for the arizona sunshine remake
I'll probably stick with my quest 2 either until the next major Quest headset, or maybe that not so secret project from valve releases. Sure it won't be in the same price category as Quest stuff, but I'm excited to see what they come up with
3s might just be what I use for the living room/guest PC, but personally, I need something with a higher resolution screen. Currently using a Pico 4, and almost exclusively for PCVR, not really interested in the built in marketplace for Pico or Meta. Every generations' tracking is getting better, but it's still not even near on par with studio tracking solutions yet. Better passthrough is definitely a bonus for 2% of the time when getting water and such, but until they get near perfect passthrough I'm not as interested. _I tried cooking once, with recipes pinned, can't even tell when the water was boiling in passthrough. I want to be able to walk outside without seeing everything a second later in low res and warped._
If the Q3s has same optics, same resolution, almost same quest 2 games, same VRPC experiences, so they should name it Quest 2 MR. I don't think resolution of the Q3s will be the same as the Q2.
Actually, i still use the Quest 1 at the daily basis, doing 1 hour of Beat Saber as my morning routine, i managed to get almost every applab games on the Quest 1, which were awesome experiences and full games, to try, and made my family and friends to try it too. I may consider the Q3S, here in France, it will probably be 299€, why that ? Can't figure out -_-' The real thing i miss on my Q1, is Android 12, which arrived with V51, better performances, better space management, better heat management, etc etc... Sadly, not for the Q1 (i'm waiting for ROMs, like for my old Nexus 4 (which is on Android 14 today), but it's seems to take time, and be more likely for the Q2 (sold more than the Q1) when it will be abandoned my Meta). Looking forward for the Q3S, watching the real reviews of it, and probably buying it before the uprising price one year after its release like the Q2 ;) I love the Oled displays of the Q1, but one day, we have to get new devices to get better and better games...
For pcvr it doesn't seem like a massive upgrade over the quest 2 other than the possible better wifi but I use a link cable anyway so I won't be upgrading

@@kaak2270 Thank you!! I've had the Q3 for 3 days now and I'm absolutely in love with it and it's capabilities, was definitely worth the price considering it will last much longer than the Q2 would
When they make one with 4k resolution for each eye it will be a good enough upgrade for me and I’ll get one
Thanks for featuring LASER LIMBO at 0:30
If anything bull designs are way better cause more accessories can be used and customizations, maybe the quest 4 can be bull like the quest two but have different better lenses than the quest 3 and be a bulky headset
I have a Quest 2, if I happened to get a Quest 3S, would all games and game data transfer if I logged in with my account? (Ex. Bonelab save data and B&S Nomad Characters)
it sort of depends. bonelab mods and save would not save. blade and sorcery characters... maybe? it depends if they do it through playfab or meta accounts. but i know gorilla tag would save 100%
when i switched to quest 3 my bonelab save data carried across, not sure about B&S tho
I guess the time for that will come, it’s just not right now
I just bought the quest 3 so I’m saveing up for quest 4 or 5
Ima buy a regular quest 3 since i want an actual upgrade
Got the Q3 and loving it! [:]~))
If the 3s doesn't have pancake lenses, does that mean it will have better battery life than the 3? That could sway me when considering an upgrade.
A lens has nothing to do with battery life. So no it wont change it.
Even with the lower resolution and fresnel lenses the difference in the contrast makes up for that IMO.
have seen used quest 3's on marketplace for 200 and sometimes lower. Sitting on shelfs collecting dust.
I looked like every day and decided to get a new one instead because cheapest one I could find on marketplace was 350 and thats LA where there should be plenty of options and they didn't even respond to me. I don't know where you are but I wish I had the same luck.
seriously? $200? shit's pretty much new.
@@joogled1839 I don't think it's common. Also alot of bots post is for cheap then don't reply on market place. If he hasn't tried communicating with one of them then I'd guess they are just fake posts.
All of the people with BR headsets. And nothing to do need to get out there and find your damn game or buy a p c if you're snapping about graphics
Lowest I've seen is like 250 but usually 300 used
like, if you have quest 2, and don't have a lot of money to switch to quest 3, quest 3s will be good
I think the only thing stopping me from buying a Quest 3 is that the Quest 2 isn't so outdated yet that I want to drop 300$ to get a 3S.
I am so happy about this! Its literally a quest 3 but with a lower quality screen, and its half the price! 😂
i will buy this for my first vr headset
Apart from that your best bet is to stream using shadow PC on say a quest headset
so that means quest 2 will stop getting sold? and also, there's almost no point buying quest 3s if you are a pcvr user except only better wifi?
I have a quest 2 the only reason I didn’t get the quest 3 because there aren’t many vr videos , most of the games suck lol they need to step it up and give us gta 5 type games where there is a large map that allows you to Rome around .
this is definitely an upgrade for people who like the quest 2s price and havent upgraded to a quest 3 because of price. Thats my boat but I still dont want either headset. Will be getting a psvr2 and the pc adapter instead.
Buying Quest 3s or waiting for Quest 4? I’m holding out for the valve deckard. If my Index doesn’t last, maybe bigscreen beyond.
I like the camera layout, it looks very spidery
The twos have a clarity problem and the threes lenses are so fragile they scratch and chip easily so hopefully they find common ground on that
Scratch and chip? Don't wear your glasses when playing VR. Get prescription inserts. They help you see and protect the Quest 3 lenses
@@smittyvanjagermanjenson182 I use blue light lenses on my 2
A personal take: global markets may find the combination of quest 3 capability at a lower price point a game changer.
I had slight audio clicking on my quest 2 when playing on pc, quest 3 doesn't thank god!
I like how this is like the only quest3S vid when I searched up meta quest3S
as someone who still uses a quest 1 (i hate it) this looks amazing
The quest 3 is a better buy.
I have been toying with the idea of upgrading to quest 3 but it's the price that puts me off if the 3s is the same price as the 2 on its first launch it makes sense for me to get the 3s it's a no brainer and just in time for the arizona sunshine remake
The 3S is likely to be $350.
$199 is a pipe dream that this youtuber used as bait for clicks.
As a og quest user, yes i am going to upgrade it
I'll probably stick with my quest 2 either until the next major Quest headset, or maybe that not so secret project from valve releases. Sure it won't be in the same price category as Quest stuff, but I'm excited to see what they come up with
I completely forgot about the Deckard. Valve putting steam link on quest makes me think they gave up.
@@smittyvanjagermanjenson182 steam link just helps put more people on steam in a way that lets them boost their own number of users.
Can't figure out -_-'
The real thing i miss on my Q1, is Android 12, which arrived with V51, better performances, better space management, better heat management, etc etc... Sadly, not for the Q1 (i'm waiting for ROMs, like for my old Nexus 4 (which is on Android 14 today), but it's seems to take time, and be more likely for the Q2 (sold more than the Q1) when it will be abandoned my Meta).
Looking forward for the Q3S, watching the real reviews of it, and probably buying it before the uprising price one year after its release like the Q2 ;)
I love the Oled displays of the Q1, but one day, we have to get new devices to get better and better games...
if you have a lot of money laying around then go ahead and buy it
but if you just want a decent cheaper option then get the quest 2
Already have a quest 3, so I don't think I'm gonna want to switch so soon.
For pcvr it doesn't seem like a massive upgrade over the quest 2 other than the possible better wifi but I use a link cable anyway so I won't be upgrading
What’s the passthrough app in the beginning (around the 50 minute mark)?
I have the Quest3, but would want to buy the Quest3s for fitness and keep my Quest3 dry and only for high end gaming or watching movies.
yeah im getting the Meta Quest 3s when it comes out
What accessories would you recommend for the Quest 3s to enhance the experience?
I like the q3 becauze I can see clear. To go back to q2 lenses is a no go for me
I jumped from the pico 4 to the psvr2 for pcvr
Meta Connect is on my 18th birthday.
I'm really hoping the 3s is at $199, I will gladly get it then
It's not going to be. $350 is more likely
I was considering getting the quest 3 and had no idea that the quest 3s.
Short answer, if you just want a better version of the quest 2 and no mixed reality, yes
Do you think that we will be able to play Batman Arkham shadow on the meta quest 3s
Yes we will. That’s why I want it
I am a quest 2 user, I currently have 200 dollars, should I save up for the meta quest 3s.
So would the quest 3s be better than the quest 3?
I literally this week bought the Quest 3... Should I get a refund and wait for the Quest 3s?
are you crazy? you have the best headset available. quest 3s is a quest 2 with improvements. it lowers all the qualities of the quest 3 for a lower price, lower resolution and weak lenses. keep your quest 3. a new quest 3 replacement will not be until 2026 per Meta...quest 3s is not a upgrade it is a cheap lower version
@@eb7027 thanks for clarifying, I am not really a tech type of guy... I'm happy to have the most advanced! and future wise get Quest 4 and beyond if they outperform Quest 3 stats.
@@jugugaluALT no problem. I just hate that meta decided to call the upcoming one the quest 3s. It makes people believe this is a new upgrade to the quest 3 when it is a major downgrade of all the components to get into the $200 price tier for VR. It should have been called quest lite(that would be a better name). For all the people that think this quest 3s will out perform the quest 3(by lowering resolution, and graphics to get better battery life) you can do the same thing in the current quest 3 by lowering the resolution. But for a VR experience why do that?
And I only just got a quest 2 like 3 months ago 💀
Although from what I’m hearing, given the fact I mainly use my quest 2 for wired pcvr tho, it’s not a big deal.
Mine comes in 4 hours!! 🎉🎉
is this headset an upgrade or a downgrade from the quest 3?
@@LokisVR1 it's in between the quest 3 and quest 2 so not an upgrade

Funny how i was just thinking of selling my quest 2 as used and getting the quest 3 😮 guess it wont hurt to wait a lil longer
As soon as it releases..
Im definitely in
What do you all think about the 3s?
its bad that they had to get the quest 2 lences and not pancake, but im still exited
Really really cool to have mote choice and budget levels!
It… scares me
i dont know if itll be better than the psvr2 for me. the psvr2 fits my use case a lot more, and i hate batteries in a headset.
A good upgrade from the Quest 2. As long as the resolution is substantially increased.
i only just bought the q2 right before the q3 came out so im still waiting for q4
I will wait for Quest 3 S Pro Aniversary Edition Ultra X
At 3 48 in video you are very wrong quest 3s will have much worse performance do to lens distortion and antialicing requirements the performance could be up to 60% less than quest 3
bro idk why i heard 3ds like every time you said 3s
bro meta is going crazy like am barely saving money to buy an oculus 2 💀🙏
ima buy it i have had the quest 1 since march
I just want a better operating system I don't want to have to sideload features that should be available to me, I don't want to have to sign up for another thing to become a developer to do so...
I agree 100%
I don’t know why but I think we need to chill because we just got a quest 3 and people are predicting the meta quest 4
The quest 4 is still like 3 years away. The 3S is here to get the ball rolling on better experiences and kill the quest 2.
I got this right after I bought the quest 2 you fr?
Idk why but everyone says that air link sucks I have no problems with it
I still love my CV1
Lez go I’m def gonna get it bc my quest 2 broke
