Everything is so expensive. I don’t know how anyone affords anything. I feel you. We live in apartment complex and the rent is really expensive. Hopefully something good will happen. Thank you Tyler.

Whats crazy is this is the cheapest it will ever be at this present moment, things will only get more expensive, it is also the most broke you will be, the only thing to do is progress and budget

I really hope things get better, if prices keep going up then wages need to be going up too. Idk how people are doing this

Almost feels like the last 3-4 years has been a big plan to put a large part of the population in the hole financially. Rent, food and car prices are way high. A lot of people were programmed to not care back when they shut everything down for Covid and handed out free money for 2 years. Now many of those people are living off credit. People who come from money and are hooked up with good paying jobs will be fine as always, but if you're a "common" person it will be easy to slip through the cracks. All you can do is focus on self-improvement and staying productive to keep in a positive state of mind so you can somehow make a way for yourself.

Agreed!! Unless you have connections, or already have money, it's so hard to make it now. It feels like being able to pay the bills is a luxury 😔

If you can do the work and it can be hard work the best thing to do is get in the trades right now. As a female there are more opportunities for you in the trades than men believe me and because of equal opportunity there are a lot more positions for females say the least. It can be tough but in 5 to 10 years you can transition to becoming a teacher in the trades and teach new people coming up and still be in the union and still get paid very good, with great benefits! I live with two people in a 3000 square foot house on 3 acres with a 36 by 36 ft garage we have it all paid off but it needs new windows nothing's leaking and there's no mold and it's an older house which needs a lot of renovations but it's all paid off. Definitely not the Taj mahal and my grass is pretty long most the time but I don't have an HOA that I'm in and I've got great neighbors. And I'm just 5-10 minutes outside of the city but still in the country. I have a fire department right to the next to me and have a sheriff's department right to the side of me and I grow 12 ft pot plants in my backyard and nobody cares it's great😎 but if you need seeds I will gladly donate seeds and whether it's mushrooms or pot definitely grow your own it's very rewarding and usually way better. And yes everything is expensive right now everything. One thing that really helps me is I go to a food bank every week we have a really good food bank and I literally barely spend any money on groceries. And they usually have a bunch of produce in a decent amount of fruit so it's not all just junk food or stuff like that and I barely buy anything from the grocery store they hook me up that well. Right now I work in a behavioral health inpatient drug rehabilitation clinic. The key with that is I don't get paid a lot but it's in my heart and I like what I do because I'm helping others because I needed that help myself being hooked on heroin for 20 years previously. If you can do something that's more than a paycheck for you you will get so much more out of it even if you're getting paid less. I always have at least a thousand to 1500 in the bank and only have about 2,500 on my credit cards and I have so much more I can charge if I needed to or had an emergency. Build your credit up build your credit up pay for almost everything with your credit card and then pay that off in cash either right away or in payments and it will build up your credit if you don't have good credit already my credit is 764 not perfect but I can get all kinds of stuff if I really wanted to. The other thing about paying for a lot of stuff with your credit card is you're doing it online and paying for stuff online you're not giving them your debit card so if you get overcharged you can decline it or go right to the credit card company in that way nobody can just drain all the money out of your bank account God forbid. Oh yeah and there's tons of good opportunities in the medical field for medical assistance people working at medical treatment centers you name it that has decent pay and good benefits and are stable, without having to have a bunch of education. There's so much more I'd like to share and tell you but I don't want to bore you with too long of a response😊. Give your boyfriend a hug and let him know if he needs any seeds I'm more than willing to donate to anybody that's willing to use them❤. Keep kicking ass Tiffany!

@@Tylerspaghetti420 good for you it's very wise to ask others especially people older than you how they manage in life and how they're doing it that's very wise of you. And hopefully your boyfriend is at least half as smart as you which if he's with you he sounds like a really good guy and a really good person. Just remember every place in America that's good to live right now is exorbitantly expensive. And politics have always been a way to divide people. Always progress and make progress on yourself and focus on bettering yourself and finding inner peace within yourself, meditation is a great way to get peace within yourself and going to group therapy and aa or na even if you don't have a drug problem you'll hear people being real and sharing and being honest and being able to be real and share. There's a saying in recovery that if you don't fix your brain doesn't it matter what you do with your body, but if you work on and start fixing your mind everything else will fall into place naturally. Remember don't get into any hard drugs don't take anything that's a prescription drug that's habit forming unless you absolutely have to and mushrooms pot and some psychedelics are fine most of the time as long as you don't abuse them. Not to get nerdy, but I find the math of this situation interesting.
US GDP in 1990 was ~$6 trillion, US workforce in 1990 was ~126 million. US GDP in 2023 was ~$27 trillion, workforce was ~167 million.
    That's roughly:
1990: ~$48,000 per year per worker.
2023: ~$162,000 per year per worker.
    Median income in 1990: ~$30,000
    Median income in 2023: ~$75,000
So the total pie has multiplied by 4.5, but the median salary is only up by 2.5.
This gets worse if you go back further, I picked 1990 arbitrarily. The Federal Reserve has charts on their website tracking this, don't just take my word for it.
American workers should be getting paid more. That's literally the entire problem.
