Their first song is absolutely freaking awesome. It has everything! All the instrumentals are so crisp, clean and individual. I think I’ve played the song 10 times now.

The James Bond mention is actually so on point, this song is catchy and accessible enough for a major movie, but has enough edge to go with recent Bond's more brooding character.

I got early Breaking Benjamin meets Deftones from this one (& that's a solid compliment in my book!), but considering Peter & Chris play together in a jazz band, they likely have the musical chops to take us down all sorts of interesting paths.... & I'm 100% here for it!! :)

I love how every member shines in this song. They all sound great. I didn't even realize how good the bassist was till I listened to it on my headphones! I love this song.
I like their choice of song. Every member gets to shine, there's no instrumental 'wankery' about this, and it's a well-written and -performed piece of music. Looking forward to more from them.
As for Jorge: Watching his videos especially from the last few months I never really understood why people claimed he ruined songs by 'overplaying'. With most of his covers he surely turned the drums into the lead instrument, but that's a far cry from overplaying. He really integrated himself very well into all those pieces (I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to 'Blinding Lights' without filling up the drum track in my head).
Seeing how he claimed to enjoy playing Sultans of Swing so very much (of all songs; lovely cover by the way) I was pretty much looking forward to him doing anything but brutal fast drum showcases with his next band. Nice to see I was right about that.
Like others have said I hear Deftones, Alice In Chains (guitar and bass); definitely can hear this in a film. Peter (vocalist) is actually a jazz singer/guitarist in Valmuz - his vocals are similar to Sting
Bond. Just perfect
This proves that, even if you are able to do impressive and incredible stuff that probably 90% of people can't do, you don't have to always do that. We all know what he can do, and he also can "play for the song". A real artist.

No one can think he would over play in a band if they knew what they were looking at as they would know he has been in a band, just not his band. It's a song that for me anyway makes me think I can't wait for the next ones. Especially so that it wasn't the one they were originally going to do.

I loved it! As far as EES playing in a band, he's played in small and big groups for years. He knows the drill, but his drum videos are designed to showcase the drums. I think this group could go far because they have a trifecta musically speaking.

I had no worries about it. I've seen the way he plays in his old metal band and the dude knows the job of a drummer better than anyone else. He really is an amazing drummer in all situations
Power trio how it should be. But sound like way more. Atmospheric like perfect circle but groovy like the deftones. Vocals are a fantastic icing on the cake.

I thought EE would be overplaying based on his crazy videos. He was completely disciplined and played perfectly for the tone of the of the music. What a banger song.

This is not his first band. From 2020-23 Saratoga, a spanish band, but different style of music. This new band fits perfect, I think.👍
yeah ive heard him play in that band but sooooo many people just glossed right over it and pretended like he was never in a band. This is fresh so they got learnt today!
Just wanted to point out that Saratoga wasn't his band. The band was founded in 1992. Classic Spanish heavy metal, not his style. He just came in as a drummer.

Love the tune, I get a Mastodon vibe, which for me is cool. It just gives me a good feeling this song. Can't wait for me. I know this guitar player can go too, so looking forward to seeing some solo's on other tunes.
This song is like a fine wine, smooth but there's some complexity and nuances that make it the beast it is.
i think El Estepario has made everybody sit up and pay alot more attention to drumming as typically the drummer is tucked away at the back

*not a musician BUT I think El Este is amazing, been a fan for like 2 years very happy for these guys, can't wait for the cd I'm hooked on this sound IMO like Incubus meets Tool with some Police thrown in... all bands I love.
