I remember hearing of her back in the day. But never saw what she looked like. only about three months ago when I was on the computer on you-tube her videos popped up. I am so glad they did. I would have to say she was the most stunningly beautiful, gorgeous girl I have ever seen. I do not think I will ever forget this incredibly beautiful girl. RIP Gia.

Great vid. I have been buying alot of 70's and 80's fashion mags lately when I come across them (mainly GIA on the cover). You pay handsomely for them too.

Tragic story and life of Gia. A sad story for such a beautiful woman. It's nice that you two did a piece on her life, along with some other faces from the past. And, I remember the 'Charlie" jingle as well. Funny commentary!! LOL

This was truly a time, starting in the mid-late seventies, as the birth of the supermodel. A time when models were getting more recognition, more money and the public had more names to go along with the faces in the ads and editorials.

That was a really cool video. Thanks for making it. I love to hear or read or see anything Gia, she was a very facinating character. I saw a film a few years back, rat race, people thought it was awful, I enjoyed it, someone told me if I liked that idea I would really really enjoy a mad, mad mad mad mad world. I still haven't seen it! But it is one I will definitely keep an eye out for. I could talk to the guy in the blue shirt on movies all day! I love the photo of Gia smiling, that picture deserves a frame. She was so happy in that moment, everything about that photo was real. She was happy, comfortable, very free. Who was the photographer? She enjoyed that persons company. I love the other one of her in the cat jumper, her eyes were amazing. Those two pictures should be framed. When a real person shines through that is when the pictures stand out. Amazing how technology works wonders being able to show a magazine from 1981 and not have to have it in your hand. Say that back then, futuristic beyond belief. My favorite living model of today is Freja Erichsen (I call her a Danish pastry, haha) be great to see some nice pics of her. She's supercool (oh, there's a word I picked up from the movie Gia, I hope Gia won't mind me using it. I say it almost every day) Yes! I'm a massive movie fan. Stay cool guys.

Thank you for your kind comments. We're so glad you enjoyed our video. I remember seeing a movie on New Year's (going into 1980) called "Scavenger Hunt"... and like It's a Mad..., it also had a lot of stars. I personally loved it and you might as well. :)

@@uncoveredVFMR Cool, I'll give that a look out too. I'll keep a note of that! Films I've seen in recent years that stand out, I'd highly recommend, Rush (about two formula 1 drivers, trust me! You don't need to be a fan of the sport to really enjoy it. Also watching it I thought the real James Hunt at the end looked a lot! Like the actor Scott Bakula from Quantum Leap. The Imitation Game and The Danish Girl.

I got around to watching it's a mad, mad, mad, mad world, it's very funny. I wish I had seen it when I was a little kid because I would be rolling around on the floor and have remained a treasure to this day. I loved Ethel Merman her character was the funniest. I loved the couple with the explosives in the hardware store and the demolition of the petrol station. If you want to see something that will really have you in bits laughing check out "Comedians in cars getting Coffee" The episodes with Alec Baldwin. I advise you not to eat or drink while you are watching-a possibility you might choke. He is the best! You'll be laughing all the way through it.

@@uncoveredVFMR ....one of my dearest friends worked with her several times...she was unreal looking he said...and he blames her death....on everyone but her...but he especially blames her parents....i think her enduring legacy is....she is the definition of the modern woman....strong....independent....young...slightly bored...leggy.....and sexy....Vogue still uses images of her....as they should...
