    I was thinking on making a super warm cozy puffy blanket. Can I use another type of fabric to do the back (like plush) or does it complicate things/add steps?

    if i wanted to make an average sized/blanket sized quilt what backing would you recommend- i was thinking either fleece or flannel but i am unsure if flannel comes in the correct size :0(

    • @SewYeah
      @SewYeah  2 місяці тому

      Flannel would be okay! We have a bunch online and they typically are 45" wide. I recommend Woolies Flannel from Maywood. Or, if you want something even warmer & more fuzzy, then I highly recommend you look into Minky. It's much softer & fuzzier like I said, which makes it so much nicer to cuddle into... We have a ton of Minky as well on our website!

    Looks easy, but I know you can't get that big quilt under the opening of the sewing machine. There must be some hand sewing there somewhere! Hope you will respond and explain it to me. I really do want to make a quilt like this.

    • @SewYeah
      @SewYeah  7 місяців тому +2

      Well honestly, we didn't make a very big quilt. Ours measured 42" by 50" which is about the biggest we could manage to fit under our machines!
