Nice video!!! I have the 2013 BMW Z4 sDrive 28i, it is fast because of the twin turbo engine but economical due to it has only a 4 cylinder. Maybe I will try what you did with the muffler or backbox (muffler) delete, what do you suggest?
If I were to do it all over again. I would try doing a muffler delete first and if that didn't sound good, I'd go to a sport muffler. The final result here with resonator delete and sport muffler sounds really really good in person, but it is expensive. Thanks for watching!
Yeah, I probably should have started with that, but I did the resonator delete first. It sounded great, but sometimes was not a refined as I wanted it to be. With this sport muffler, it sounds much crisper and less 'spitty', especially on pops and burbles. I'm picking out a tune right now to see which one can make it sound even better.
@@Stauntxn cold starts are glorious. Burbles and deep bass. Not too loud tho. I had an Impreza before this and THAT was loud. Back box delete on z4 is the right amount of noise imo. Especially when you’re 5-7000 rpm, it screams. 👌🏻
Looking at videos of Eisenmann Supersprint and Akropovich I have to say I think the Supersprint sounds the best, well at least on video it does. This on my 30i 6 cylinders I bet would sound simply amazing!
It's really difficult to represent it on the video; especially, while driving, but I'm very pleased with how pleasant and mature it sounds. I was almost afraid it would be 'ricer' sounding.
If they did a good job and used the right diameter for the pipe, it should not be an issue. When I did my resonator delete last year, I went with SuperSprint because shops around here charge way too much for stainless steal. I live Chicago area, so I need it to be stainless so it doesn't rust out in a year from the salt on the road etc.
I would love to do that, but as Bimmer Fan said, I'm in Illinois, so I get tested every other year and it would be a paint switching it back and forth for the test. I do plan on putting a tune on it to refine the sound even more!
definitely was an a option for me but i decided to go with a exhaust cut out $120 lol , it’s going to be obnoxious but was there much space to run a extra pipe after the cats? going to run the cut out after the cats and add a extra pipe to go quad tips with a carbon diffuser
@@SimpleCarGuy i ended up doing a Res delete to make some room and added another pipe which will turn into a quad tip set up , I though it would be way louder as the cut out is right after the cats but I’m surprised with the result , it isn’t obnoxious and at the same time it isn’t too little. How ever it does pop and crackle like crazy now, with the cutout closed it sounds normal and factory . Would recommend only came out to $260 at a local shop with a $150 cutout from amazon . Programmed the cutout to the garage door openers so no need for a remote to open and close
I don’t know how you guys get some good deals, but I’m happy you did. Do you have a video on how it sounds etc? Would love to see it. Did you do stainless steal? I went to 3-4 muffler shops and they basically said they can’t do anything other than install premade pipes or when I went to a speed shop, it was $800 to do less than 3 feet of stainless from the muffler to the resonator (I said nahhhh).
Engine has been in the car for a few weeks now, have an electrical issue that I can’t figure out for the life of me. I’ve tried everything and talked to professionals and it still just cranks but won’t fire. I think I burnt out the DME somehow.
@@SimpleCarGuy I ended up reusing my dme and after hooking everything up I forgot to hook up some of the electrical connectors and the engine ground strap so double check ur connections. If u don’t see fuel at the fuel rail then odds are it’s a dme issue
@@BmwMe-uh9sy I've checked and rechecked everything 5 times by now. I get an A738 JBE code, so there are some communication issues, but very little info on what it could be.
@@SimpleCarGuy wasn’t the car working just fine when the old engine was in? if so that shows a fault in the freshly rebuilt n55 engine, check that the timing is correct both for the engine and the Eccentric shaft
Yes, it ran before the rebuild. The timing has been checked on the engine and isn’t the problem, the DME isn’t turning on fuel pump or allowing the injector to spray due to the code I sent earlier which is communication issues between DME and JBE modules.
I was messing with the secret menu on the BMW Z4 and I pressed something now my car will like power on but whenever I turn my key all the way to start the actual car it just completely shuts off can you reply an tell me what to do please

Finally a Z4 video lol. Good work!
I've just been driving it and nothing else, so it's finally time for some mods. Looking for a tune, soft mod type stuff now.
sounds like a beast and looks fantastic. nice work
Thanks, I love how much more refined it is now. Looking for a tune now!
I bought 3 weeks ago my Z4 23i with 132‘000km... i am very happy with my BMW. What do you think? Is it a good car? Bye
I think it's a great car! They don't sell the 23i here, but it should be very similar to mine and I love driving mine!
@@SimpleCarGuy the 23i has a differnet block because it's a 6v, where your car is a N20 the 23i a N52.
wooohooo another Z4 video! It sounds pretty great. Will you being doing a tune on it?
Looking for one now, recommendations are welcome!

@@SimpleCarGuy Awesome. Thank you very very much for this tip. Highly appreciated. More power to your vlogs!!!
I don't like the resonator delete sound, but I love the SuperSprint Cat Back sound.
I just got a backbox (muffler) delete and it’s perfect. Sound is amazing and can be loud or quiet, plus pops and crackles whenever you want them

No difference as far as acceleration or fuel economy as far as I could tell.

The supersprint for 6 cylinders are horrible! My experience qas that the original was way better
Awesome! I wish there were more videos of the n63 like this!
The Cat back sounds much better. Not as raspy but it makes it sound a little like a 6 cylinder.
Nice... love the sound
i just have a regular pipe for my resonator delete do you think i should upgrade ?
my local muffler shop just put it on for me .
